Alex who answered the phone was very upbeat and friendly and set up a quick appointment with Carlos Cabrera ,the owner, who personally came out to give me a cost estimate and some options for a replacement. It was a pleasure to actually speak with the owner of the company unlike the larger companies that advertise on tv. To make a long story short I chose Verday to replace the water heater and have posted a picture of the installation which took 1 day. My wife and I contacted Swim Care Pool Service to look at our pool and jacuzzi equipment. We just moved in and wanted to upgrade some things. We spoke with the owner, Jeremy. We set a day and time for Jeremy to give a quote. He called and cancelled so we rescheduled for the next day. He came and ran into our pool guy. Seems they knew each other and have worked together. Jeremy tried to deny giving us a quote for a new pool filter. He was more concerned about working with them than to provide us a quote. You're the one that cancelled the original appointment. He reluctantly said he'll give a quote. We waited 3 days with no quote. When my wife called him he was very rude and said he will get it to her. He even discussed his personal life with my wife thinking that would excuse his behavior. I'll leave out the details, but inappropriate. We finally got our quote and it was obscenely high. Much higher than the phone estimate. An obvious attempt to not work with us. Our jacuzzi is not much bigger than most. I called Jeremy with no answer, so I left a message. He called me after the weekend and it was more of the same. A disengaged, rude business owner that is obviously not interested in his business or customers. The phone call was not positive, so I hung up and texted him instead. The texting was not any better. He texted to me "Obviously you have a personal issue" and in another text said " I think you're possibly a little prejudice." Whoa, really? All for wanting you to give an honest estimate, not wast our time and not to discuss your personal life with my wife? I would gladly pay double to a company that has integrity, respect for clients, respect for their family and some professionalism.

So when I could no longer take the hard water here in San Diego, I looked at the above plus a company that Costco works with. I was astonished at the prices and then the hard sales tactics. So I did some internet sleuthing, kind of figured out what I thought I needed and came up with questions that I would ask companies about their systems and service. After a series of informational interviews, WPS won the install. They knew what they were doing, they could answer the questions without giving me a sales pitch or a bunch of nonsense. If you call around to a number of companies - you will hear nonscientific gooblygook. They installed my system about 5 years ago and I've had no problems at all. I don't know if any install is straightforward, but mine is in a narrow unlit closet and they had to figure out how to tie it into my existing plumbing. (I had had a well known company put a system in 20 years before and they did not tie it into the drainage successfully and the first time it charged, water leaked into the house flooding my downstairs - that's why I put up with hard water so long - you really want a company that doesn't take shortcuts cuz water damage is a pain). About once a month I check the salt levels and add salt if needed. No long term service contracts, no problems. My daughter, who has curly dry hair, has been ecstatic about the change in our water softness! Eugene was out today to reinstall my system - I had a flood for a clothes washer and the water restoration people had removed the system. I wanted WPS to do the reinstall because I trust them completely. Rudy at Payan performed a repair today. The water had been previously shutoff, and after the repair he turned the water on. It created a "rushing" water noise unrelated to the repair. He contacted me and about the unrelated issue and resolved it.
