I called on a Thursday for a shut off valve issue with my toilet. In short, I wasn't getting any…read morewater flow from the valve into the tank, so I assumed there was a clog. And if not, this was surely an issue far beyond my level of expertise. Their earliest availability was the following Monday (4 days) later, which was sooner than I expected. They kept me on stand by for the following day (Friday), but no such luck. My service window was 9 AM - 12 PM and two technicians showed up directly to my door around 9:30. Also sooner than I expected. I was impressed not only by the timing but also their sense of direction. Getting to my condo unit can be confusing with the various gate entrances, but these guys clearly knew what they were doing. Most people get lost. Not these guys. This job required a water main shut off in my HOA and they knew exactly where to go. They were friendly and professional and in and out in under 1 hour 30 minutes. The only reason I am at 4 stars is because I was quoted $225 for the job, but was charged $325. That seems a bit off, but the job was done swiftly and so I didn't bother challenging them.

My property manager called out Exodus to diagnose and repair a running toilet. Exodus suggested a…read morefull toilet replacement which is ridiculous. The justification was "toilet parts are old" even though the toilet itself is in great condition. After pushing back they proposed a second option for nearly $500 - this is to spend 30 minutes replacing the valve and flapper with a parts cost of $25 max from Home Depot. The work ended up being completed by a handyman for much less. Needless to say Exodus is never welcome on one of my properties again. The attempt to gouge by including extra scope is plain dishonesty and borderline fraud. I would exercise caution.

I am absolutely appalled by my recent experience with Rayne Water. This company has shown an utter lack of professionalism, ethics, and respect for its customers. It started when a representative from Rayne Water showed up at my home uninvited, knocking aggressively on my window. He misled my wife by claiming he was there for a routine maintenance visit. Trusting him, she let him in, but things quickly escalated into something much more sinister. As he began tampering with the system, my wife noticed water leaking, at which point he claimed to have no idea what was going wrong. However, it soon became clear that he was intentionally disconnecting the system. When she asked for an explanation, he asked for credit card information to cover a due payment--which, by the way, was never mentioned before to her. My wife, unsuspecting and trusting, provided the information. It wasn't until I arrived that I realized something was seriously wrong. The representative revealed he was actually there to take the system away unless he was paid, which was an outright scam. When I demanded that he leave, he refused and became aggressive, further showing his lack of respect for personal boundaries and professional conduct. Only after the office confirmed the payment had gone through (card info provided by my wife) did he leave, making it clear we were expected to just "wait" for the system to be returned. This is beyond deceitful--it is criminal behavior. To take advantage of a naive individual, especially in their own home, under the guise of doing maintenance is not only unprofessional, but it is predatory and manipulative. I would never recommend doing business with a company that operates in this way. Additionally, when Rayne Water initially assessed the system, they did a poor job of measuring, causing me to hire a carpenter twice to make costly adjustments to my cabinet and countertop. This mistake caused unnecessary inconvenience and expense. Also, the system is leaking once in a while you can see the the amounts of water. This is the 3rd time it is happening. I will not be conducting any further business with Rayne Water, and I strongly advise anyone reading this review to steer clear of this company. There are far more trustworthy and professional service providers out there. Do not risk being scammed or mistreated by this unethical organization. read more

After moving to Santa Barbara and buying a home with hard water, I developed contact dermatitis on my face and neck because the water didn't completely remove my cleanser. We decided to look into a water softener and reverse osmosis system to help with my new medical condition. We called Rayne, and Bill came to our house the next day to answer our questions and tell what Rayne had to offer. The water system was installed quickly and expertly. We can't say enough good things about Bill who represented the product and Juan who installed it. We noticed a difference immediately. My skin loves the water; my dishes, silverware, and sinks sparkle; the shower doesn't get water spots and is easier to clean; and the dishwasher looks like the day we bought it. We are no longer worried about hard water deposits that are unsightly and hard to clean. We don't know why we didn't make the change sooner The water tastes wonderful, and I take my own drinking water everywhere because now I am spoiled. The customer service is top notch. I called Ranye after I noticed the system was not producing water out of the fountain. We had a plumber come in for a different matter and noticed the problem after the reverse osmosis tank became empty and they was no more water flow. The person I talked to on the phone at Rayne helped me to trouble shoot but I must have missed something because I couldn't get it to work. After a while I called back and said I couldn't get it to work so they said they would send somebody out to fix it. That's where Adam came in...her was the helpful technician who fixed it in about 30 seconds. He told me a valve was off and we'd be getting water soon. I apologized for having him come out but he said no problem and was very understanding about the situation. It made me more impressed with Rayne Water than I already have been in the past. read more

Our technician, Daniel, was a charm from the moment he entered our home. We have a no shoes policy in our home and just by observing and without asking, he removed his shoes and his service only got better. He was very respectful and professional. He fully explained what and the benefits of each step of the maintenance procedure. On top of all that he asked and explained about the time of day our system cycles. If we are okay or wanted it set to a different more convenient time to where it didn't disturb our routine. Since I've only noticed 2 or maybe 3 times a year, we are fine with it as is. I called Rayne late in the day yesterday as I had a leak in the reverse osmosis faucet. The girl told me they could have someone out today between 8 and 12 and that I would receive a call ahead of time to let me know when the repair man would be here. I received a call this morning and a few minutes later Drayton from Rayne arrived. He was very polite, introduced himself and went right to the sink to see the problem. He repaired the leak in just a few minutes and showed me what was causing the problem. He said the tank should be filled up again in a couple of hours and the leak was taken care of. We met Riley at the Del Mar home show. We were very impressed by his knowledge and he explained everything throughly. The installation technician was efficient and did a great job with the installation. Riley followed through after we had everything completed to make sure we were happy. We LOVE our Rayne Water Soft Water System. I don't know how we managed before without it. You will definitely notice a difference. There is no calcium build up on the shower doors, faucets, my dishes actually shine now, It is a small compact container and doesn't take up much space. WHY I SELECTED THEM I was sold when I read that they have been in business since 1928. When I searched online, almost all of the companies I found only offered equipment. Without water testing and the expertise that they offer, you are just getting a product without support. Their expertise alone is worth it. OVERDELIVERING We are about 50 miles outside of their service area. But David M. Silver, the Vice President of Customer Relations, twisted a couple of arms to make this happen. I used to be in the auto detail business and I was always a big fan of using DI and spot free tanks. However, I am no longer in the business but i have become accustomed to using the spot free water over the years. Last year we decided to look into getting a tank for house to use for washing our personal cars and have been so pleased by the clean and spot free water the tank produces. For some who likes to wash their cars weekly, this spot free tank has come in handy. With the monthly service, Rayne Water comes out and switches the tank every month right on time as scheduled. We purchased a $4900 system and pay $574 yearly for supposedly VIP service. The first year we stopped having the monthly service to replace our salt as the attendant kept overfilling it and leaving salt all over the driveway. We are supposed to have our filters replaced on our water filtration system as we were told they would be happy to do this and then received a call from a manager that the appointment was cancelled as we didn't qualify. My husband has been very generous with tips and the service we've received has not lived up to our expectations. If your looking for a service, don't go with this company. read more

We would like to thank Allison for her great customer and Tom for the professional, efficient and clean re-installation. We used Rayne for 30+ years and we made a mistake giving their large national competitor a try. It was a huge mistake: complex installation, horrible water flow (two simultaneous showers were impossible), and an unreadable contract agreement. Soft water should not mean soft flow out of the faucet. We now have excellent water flow along with our soft and dechlorinated water. Our experience was excellent from the friendly office, to personable Dan who came to test our water and advise us on a system, and T.J. who installed both our new water-softening and reverse osmosis drinking water systems. We had All Cities Water replace a Puragain water filter system that we had installed in 2022. The…read moreoriginal system did not address the hard water issue that we have been having and it continually clogged up, requiring routine (expensive) maintenance to replace the filters. All Cities did an excellent job of explaining the options and going through how a salt-based hybrid softener system would provide the water quality we were hoping to achieve. I asked a ton of questions, all of which were quickly and thoroughly answered. There was no attempt to upsell us or talk us into anything. It was a very low-pressure engagement that made everything much simpler. We ended up going with a hybrid salt system that uses carbon and sodium chloride to condition the water (it can also use potassium chloride but the cost of that is prohibitive at this time). The installation went very smoothly. We were told it would take about 4 hours to remove the old system, install the new one and run a drain line across the garage to the sink. That is almost exactly what it took and the installer was very professional and easy-going. We are very pleased with the system thus far and I would highly recommend All Cities Water Treatment as a great option for anyone interested.

This time around, our Rheem water heater failed before reaching even 7 years, despite having a 12‑year warranty. Even though Quick is closed on weekends, Brandon texted me and set us up first thing Monday morning. Ben (sales) was extremely helpful, walked me through all the options, and made a genuine effort to get Rheem to honor the warranty. Unfortunately, Rheem couldn't provide a replacement and instead offered fair market compensation (still TBD). Not thrilled with Rheem, but Ben handled the situation professionally and kept me informed throughout. We ultimately went with a Bradford White, and Sammy installed it the same day. His work was excellent--professional, efficient, and spotless cleanup. The Bradford White + installation was very reasonable and very surprisingly comparable to my prior installation. Very impressed with Quick's responsiveness, professionalism, and ability to turn everything around in a single day. Highly recommend them.

We are loyal to our vendors/contractors as great workmanship is not always easy to come by. In the past Jacob, Erik, and others on the team were always professional, prompt, down to earth-- and all experts. They installed our 3 water heaters from them and a whole house filtration system. We have recommended them to our neighbors as well. Had the most uncomfortable conversation with owner Brandon who we've never interacted with in the past. Shockingly rude. I even said, "sounds like I caught you at a bad time" - yikes. A top contender for most negative and weird vibes from a sales/client interaction. This call happened after a slightly frustrating visit with Ben who admitted he only has 1 year of experience and was trying to keep up as best as he could. He was actively trying to learn on the spot. He was honest which I commend. Ben left saying he needs an actual technician present along with the owner's help to develop a more solid option and plan to move forward. Not a problem at all. It must be frustrating being an expert in your field having to speak about the same products and concepts with home owners who are relearning different/new systems on the fly. But if customer service is not your forte, stick to delegating and take hospitality courses so your loyal customers don't feel like they have to be apologetic for having questions on a $11k quote. Sadly, a "could have been better" 2/5 star experience, wish we could stick with them. Pro tip, maybe ask to exclusively interface with the seasoned members of their crew with 5+ years of experience so you avoid any negativity and can actually get the work you need done.
