I've only been to Frank's Place during Art Hop nights the last few years and it's always a great place to stop. Friendly bartenders, full bar and some craft brews on tap. They always have an artist's work on display, last month it was an installation by local high school students-very cool! I like the large space, lots of tables to spread out or high top tables to stand/sit closer to the bar. Good place to sit and enjoy some Art Hop food from the many food trucks parked right outside.

I attended a Cultural Arts Rotary event at Frank's Place. The bartender, Will, was FABULOUS! He patiently and jokingly served many of us. If you are having an event, this is a GREAT VENUE!

If this was just a bar, it would probably get 3 stars. Drinks aren't particularly reasonable, layout of the building is kinda fuckin weird with a hell of a lot of wasted space it seems... HOWEVER... Every Friday night, they have different comedians come through and as far as I know, it's the ONLY place in Fresno to regularly do so and that goes a long way with me. Hell, I used to go to Thai Palms back in the day, with their crappy food and bougie crowd to catch comedy shows- so I'm glad somewhere else is finally bringing them back. Like one of my new favorite comedians put it, the place looks like an old, haunted hotel and you can almost feel the ghosts floating around jerking off on top of you (credit to Sam Tripoli for that one, please don't sue me.) Bartenders are pretty cool, and there was a tv showing the Giants/Dodgers game at the bar while I got there for the most recent show I went to, so I watched some of the game before it started. Talent level of the comedians kinda varies. The first show I saw had great opening acts, one even upstaged the headliner as far as I was concerned. Tonight's headliner though was fucking amazing, and the headliners were pretty mediocre I felt- I think they were local talent. The host is always the same guy, Chris Cruz I think is his name. He repeats most of his same jokes, which kinda had me worried we'd be getting the same opening acts- but luckily nah, different group each time. Frank's Place has a cool partnership with A1 Night Stand Taco Truck. The truck is parked right out front all night for the shows, and they have menus on every table (which have table numbers) so you can call in or text your order and they'll bring it right there to your table. I really hope Fresno supports this place and what they're trying to do. We don't have any comedy clubs, so I hope they keep this up every Friday to a good-sized crowd like they have been.

The drinks are overpriced, but the venue is charming. They have some good music. I won't buy alcohol here. $$$

They have the cheapest happy hour eats in town! It has gone a up a little in 2026. But they have $1.25 tacos, $3 sliders, $1.25 wings. Beer and well drink specials all throughout the week. They have become popular for their themed brunch buffets and bottomless mimosas for $50. A time will be had! Everyone gets pretty tipsy but there's never drama, lots of singing and dancing. The weekend evenings are definitely geared towards the younger crowd and it becomes shoulder to shoulder- there will sometimes be altercation that occur but it looks like they hire a ton of security. Vibez has taken over the space next door called "Eva" it has a small bar and a dance floor with vip couches. Love the staff they hire! Rachel and Clinton are my faves, awesome people and the owner is really down to earth and cool too.

The wines we were able to try were great, and it felt like a nice spot for a small celebration. One small disappointment was that they were out of a few wines and gelato we were interested in trying, apparently because of an event earlier in the evening. It limited the selection a bit for us, which was a little unfortunate. I did enjoy many of the cocktails, especially the Drop the Lemon (delicious lemon drop) and the Caramel Apple Carousel (tastes like apple pie!). We also enjoyed the Petite Charcuterie board, which was a great selection for a small group. That said, our server Esteban really made the experience. He was super chill, friendly, and attentive. He gave great suggestions and made sure our group was taken care of throughout the night. He has such fun energy and really made sure we had a great time as well. Overall, a very nice place for a birthday gathering, and Esteban's service definitely stood out. I'd come back again to try more of their wines!

I am curious to see how it is on other days! Nice and aesthetic place.

Parking is exactly what you'd expect for downtown, so just make sure you lock your car and don't leave anything visible. We went around 5 PM on a Thursday. It started fairly quiet and gradually got busier throughout the evening, but it never felt overcrowded. They do have a rule that if there's a waitlist, your time may be limited to about two hours so they can seat other guests, which is reasonable for a place like this. The drinks were fantastic. I honestly didn't have a bad drink all night. They offer cold drinks, room temperature drinks, hot drinks, and just about every type of spirit you can think of. The cocktails are very creative, and the bartenders will actually warn you ahead of time if a drink has flavors they think you might not like, which I appreciated. The bartenders were excellent and really knew what they were doing. We had a spicy margarita, mojito, whiskey smash, an ube cocktail, and a few others, and all of them were great. Prices were fair for the quality, creativity, and overall experience. Not cheap, but definitely not overpriced either. One thing I really respected was that they had Narcan and fentanyl test strips available on-site. You don't see that often, and it shows they actually care about people's safety. If you're looking for craft cocktails in Fresno, this place is definitely worth visiting. I'll definitely be coming back.
