My first time getting a smog done all by myself. My dad would always take care of my car needs. I live close to the area and after doing my yelp research I decided to try this place out. I came early on a hot Sunday morning and was helped right away by a gentleman whom's name I did not get but he was friendly and helpful. They have chairs where you can sit and wait while your service is being done and a tv you can watch. The heat was no issue in there though, it was actually cool and the fan was blowing nicely. I was out of there fairly quickly, the smog check was sent electronically to the DMV and the price was good. I would definitely come here again for a smog check. read more

This place is so near to town and by all the reviews I had to check it out when it came time to do my smog. The guy frank here looks like a older Walter from breaking bad and his attitude is just like him. He's a nice guy with quick and honest work. He kinda jus gets too it and doesn't stop till your done. Which is nice, being to other places I notice the co workers tend to talk more then work, not here. It's clean and had inside garage seating with some magazines to keep you entertained. The area is in a nice neighborhood right off of la sierra. I got here pretty early all though a lady best me! Frank is darn fast, 15 mins after he opened he's shop, I was already next! He has one after the other and working on to cars at once. He was calm and consistent with telling you what was going on. So my dumb self waited until the last minute to take care of my registration. And by last minute, I mean 2 months late. Oops. With working all the time and needing my Saturdays to catch up on tv and laundry, Sunday is the only day I really have to take care of car stuff. Thank goodness Franks was open. It was a bit of a drive but for about $45 for my Kia and peace of mind, my car passed smog and I still had time to finish some laundry. It is located within a gas station but there is a couch and a tv and magazines to read while you wait, so not a bad operation. The gentlemen that assisted me was also polite and professional, and when I asked about the test, he actually showed me my emissions level and gave me some info on how to maintain and decrease with regular service (which is common knowledge I'm sure but you never know). I have been taking my Buick, and Mercedes to Frank's Smog for years. Matter of fact I just had my Buick Reatta there yesterday to have it smogged. Frank and all of his employees are friendly and respectful, and always very professional. And what I appreciate just as much is they are respectful of my cars. My last car was a Corvette, before that a couple of classic muscle cars. There's no dragging hoses across the paint or setting tools on the bare fenders. There's no greasy foot prints on the carpet or greasy hand prints on the steering wheel and leather upholstery of my Mercedes as I got at another place before discovering Frank's. The price is good and I am always in and out very fast. I will continue to take my cars, and my sons do as well, to Franks as long as he is in the business. And there's always some comfy office chairs out front to sit in while waiting :-) read more

Found Franks Smog Station on yelp, and saw they open on Sunday, I came on Sunday at 8:50am and its already open already, there was one car ahead of me, but the owner is very nice and took care of me quickly. I was in and out the smog station less then 15min. , but most important of all I passed the smog test, the certificate was sent electronically to dmv!
