Frank reupholstered my sofa November 2017. We have hardly been here and it may have been used for 2 months since being delivered. We do not live in the desert and not here very often. I notice this week there is a piece of fabric hanging down underneath the sofa. It looks like stuffing is coming out. I called Frank. He called me back and arranged an appointment for saturday morning to come and see what the problem was. Well, he did not not show up, did not contact me to reschedule and his cell phone is continually busy with no option to leave a message. Update: As it turns out it is just a tear in the fabric that is hanging down. My husband flipped sofa to see problem and fixed it himself. Issue is still Frank never showed up as scheduled, never called and his cell phone is still ringing busy and it is sunday evening. After this experience I would not use him again. read more

I should of checked Frank's reviews before I used him in August. The work was finished by Sept 3rd. I'm still trying to get in contact with him to follow up with some work he did for my business. It's now October. Reviews speak the truth. He's really not good with cleaning up the job. I'll clean up this review if things change. If I can ever speak with him. This is the 2nd time I have used Frank's. This time was a sofa , love seat and chair that all needed reupholstering. Sofa and love seat needed new foam and spring replacement-pretty much building a new set. Fabric I selected was a multi colored stripe pattern-pretty busy. Amazingly, he matched the stripes from back cushion, to seat cushion to skirt at bottom. And. . . added are covers (with buttons to keep in place) that also kept the pattern in sync. Have purchased high end furniture for years and have never seen this sort of attention to detail! All this in less than two weeks. Can not recommend more highly! read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Frank has done two upholstery jobs for me, and I was pleased with the price and the quality. When he was at my home during the second job, I showed him an upholstered cornice box with pleats and a swag at the bottom. I told him that I found the fabric, and asked if he could make two more to match the one i already have. He told me it would be no problem. So, a couple of weeks before Christmas I called him to come over and measure so I'd know how much fabric to buy. He came over within a day or two, took all of the measurements and took photographs of the existing one so he could copy it. He said he was very busy because everyone wanted their jobs before the holidays. I told him that it was not a problem and that I'd bring the fabric to him after the holidays, which I did. A couple of weeks went by and I hadn't heard from him, so I began leaving messages, almost daily. After a couple of weeks doing this, he finally called and said he needed to send someone out to measure again. I was frustrated, but agreed to it. A week or so after the re-measure, I started calling again. No response, again, for another week or so. When he called me, he said that the man who came to re-measure, forgot to measure the sides and asked me to please do it. I texted him the measurements and again waited a couple of weeks. Getting no response on the phone, again, I drove to his shop. Frank wasn't there and nobody knew anything. I marched myself through the entire place looking for my job, and it was nowhere to be seen. I left, just furious! Frank finally called me and set up an installation appointment. Needless to say, the installer never showed up. When I reached Frank, he told me that the installer had emailed or texted me the day before to reschedule. There was no such email or text. He lied. So, we set another appointment, and the installer actually showed up. He began the installation of the first one, and as soon as I saw it up over the window, I could plainly see that the measurements were all wrong, and there was no swag at all. The installer agreed that they were made incorrectly, wrote down what had to be done, and assured me that there was enough fabric to work with, and he would explain it to Frank. More time went by, and after finally reaching Frank, he told me that the installer would be here on Monday, March 20th. Well, today is Wednesday, March 28th, and I'm still waiting. Three and a half months since he did the initial measurement. My next step is to see if my fabric is still available for purchase and find another upholsterer. Wish me luck and stay away from Frank's! read more

What do you do when a vendor doesn't return or call to say why. I should have read the reviews for this company. Seriously lacking in customer service. Frank was to give me a bid to repair and recover a chair. He left to get more samples. Never returned. If he couldn't do the job, all he had to do was say so. I can't imagine what the work, had he done it, would have looked like. Choose another company to do your work. This guy doesn't even answer the phone. read more

They were very nice and helpful in my picking out and ordering the fabric for a cornice box . Three weeks later I called frank to see when it will be ready at which time he told me the fabric was not available and said he was sorry his office never called to let me know . Palm desert is not my primary residence so he texted me some other fabric photos and promised it would be ready to deliver July 25 so I planned to come to Palm desert that day . Morning of July 25 I called the office and left a voicemail as to the delivery time .. No call so I drove to the office and found his daughter who did not call me and I believe would not had I not gone there in person . She told me her father was not in town and that it was not started yet . She blamed my not being told of the unavailability of the fabric on her father. I insisted she have it done ASAP and delivered same day as promised by her father . She did. Horrible customer service !!!!! I absolutely would not use them ... Clearly they don't make the customer a priority. read more
