    Donuts!!

Love Frannies !!! They're such tasty little morsels of perfection. They almost always have a live, and a rather large selection. If you're smart, you'll order ahead, so you can partake in every flavor they have that day. They only make a certain amount of each, and once gone, they gone. During the fall season they had things like apple pie and apple cider and pumpkin and all kinds of seasonal goodness. Then they have the usuals , with a twist. The ambiance and is quaint bakery on Maine street America. With a feeling that everyone is welcome. There's a little pug that seems to be the mascot of the business, oh so cute! There is a small step up into the unit and then there is a large bar where they keep most of the donuts, nice and covered to keep the fresh. The service is always polite and as fast as they can be.

I would normally give this place a 4 star but only because it doesn't have many food options to support my diet (dairy/meat free), HOWEVER, their vibe and offerings rock and they have cultivated such a great offering for the community. It's one of the most vibrant spots in the city I have found. I've had their bagels before which are great! But they don't have any vegan cream cheese yet. Maybe someday. They do have Oat and almond milk options for coffees for only .50 additional charge, which is unheard of and greatly appreciated! They have smoothie bowls which I'm stoked to try when the weather is a little warmer. They have a chess board table and a little pac man arcade-type game. And a little crayon/board game section. Parking: street or out back. There's a walkway between the buildings to get to their main street entrance if you park out back.

Obsessed! I first learned about Frannie's Mini Donuts after reading about them on the Downeast Magazine. I saved the place on my Maps and during our latest drive through Sanford we finally stopped by. First of all -- this place is so cute inside. The decor is absolutely dreamy and it just feels out of a magazine. So many colors! We walked in and just felt at home. The donuts were divine. They had so many flavors when we went, so it was a little hard to pick a few. Eventually we got the chocolate, chocolate espresso, and some apple flavored ones and they were all absolutely delicious. I am actually not the biggest fans of donuts (or anything too sweet, really) so having a bite-size version was perfect. We paid $2.95 for 4 mini donuts (which - honestly - weren't THAT small). That was a steal for such quality desserts. The apple fritter one was hands down my favorite. Definitely stopping by Frannie's Mini Donuts every time I'm in the area.

The donuts are amazing, and being small you don't feel too bad eating a few. Good prices, $10 for 16, and a lot to choose from, with monthly specials. The bacon egg and cheese was made on a bagel made in house, and I swear it was two bagel tops with the perfect amount of seasoning on top and bottom. Awesome local shop!

This place is a Jem on the weekend! Nestled along Main Street in Sanford right across from the farmers market. Small but modern style Maine. Optional seating to enjoy a cup of coffee with a friend. Frannies mini donuts are the perfect size without too much guilt. They have amazing smoothie bowls too! So good! It's worth the stop you won't be disappointed, they are open Fri-Sun 7a-1p according to their website.

What a fun concept! You could smell how good this place was from a block away, no lie. Inside, it's a wonderful space with cool decor and really nice employees. They had a great selection mid-morning on a Saturday (I'm always nervous what will be left at bakeries once you pass the weekend morning rush hour, so to speak). We ended up getting 8 mini doughnuts. It was hard to pick as everything looked amazing. The woman helping us was very patient and explaining each flavor in detail. My favorite (they were all awesome though) was the coffee espresso one. Really great taste. I also loved the maple cream. Blueberry was spectacular. I got two different Boston cream creations and woah, that Boston cream was by far the best I've tasted. You can't go wrong no matter what you pick - they were all fresh, flavorful and very unique. I would stop again in a heartbeat!

I have been wanting to try Frannie's for a while, and today I got the chance! The shop itself is beautiful and has a great cozy yet vibrant feeling. Love the colors, decor, seating, etc. When I arrived I was immediately greeted and was getting my donuts. I tried their maple cream donuts, that is my all time favorite, and I judge all bakeries on how they make a maple cream. I purchased 8 donuts, and the cost was $5 plus tax. The donuts are mini sized, so a bit on the pricey side. Flavor, it was alright. These are middle of the road for me. Their maple creams just didn't win me over unfortunately. I can find other donut shops that offer a full size, better tasting donut at a similar or cheaper price.

Yes! Yes! Yes! This was the perfect Saturday morning drive for yummy delicious donuts! I had preordered my donuts ahead of time and they were ready when I arrived. It was an a variety of of flavors, 34 for $20. The cafe itself is inviting, adorable donuts with sprinkles in the walls, games for the kids, pastel shirts for sale. We also bought 8 extra donuts that we got to pick the flavor of, I was in love with the peanut butter explosion and the filled Boston cream. It was a bit of a drive for me but I would 1000% take the drive back again!

We ordered a half dozen donuts to try: the maple glazed, chocolate glazed, strawberry frosted, chocolate creme filled, glazed, and a blueberry fritter. The fritter was the favorite of the group, followed by the maple (iconic Maine flavors!) We would definitely skip the chocolate and the strawberry frosted next time and opt to try some other fritter flavors.
