Anyone who has done this work knows that even with careful planting from reputable nurseries, a number of plants *can* die. In these rare cases, my landscaping plant suppliers have kindly worked with me when this kind of loss occurs. Some have offered a percentage off for replacement and even the big name hardware stores sometimes offer full replacement for stock that fails. But replacement is not the issue. I have no problem when faced with a supplier who *kindly* says they cannot offer any replacement or discount for plant stock that dies - I get that. ---At Cavanaugh Landscaping, When I inquired about an unusually high number of plants that had died after planting, the man I spoke to was rude - and I'm being kind. I can't objectively complain about a 60/70% plant failure rate (although I've never experienced this before) - but I *can* complain about someone who tells me I'm an idiot who doesn't know what the [expletive deleted] I'm doing - even if that is the case. I would pass on spending money here for any number of reasons - some I can't quantify - but some I sure as heck can.

He was delivering shrubs to my neighbor and I asked if they ever haul away branches for a fee. He agreed to help me out and was so positive to deal with even though it was a large amount of stuff for him to haul. I asked about the business and he said he and his brother are excited to continue the business with their dad who has been around for 32 years. I couldn't believe how nice and willing he was to help me! I'm looking forward to visiting their nursery to get plants for my new yard. If this is the level of customer care to be expected, this business has a bright future!

They were extremely helpful with the insurance company as well. The insurance company was trying to lowball my claim and not pay the amount needed to clean the area and make it safe. Brandon spoke to the adjuster and convinced them it was a much bigger situation then they were trying to claim. After all that, they were able to replace my deck that was destroyed in 2 days with a beautiful deck. Not to mention they did all this without me paying any money up front. They were patient knowing I was waiting for my insurance to pay me. You know how good a company is when they need to react during a crisis. We picked out a large Japanese Maple for $499 plus the same for installing and 2 other plants we would plant ourselves. After waiting for a few weeks with no communication, we went back to find out about planting. We saw the tree we had put our name on was gone. The other 2 were still there. We were going on vacation at the end of May (tree still not delivered) and called and told them to wait until we get back now. Called when we got back to schedule and mentioned we didn't see our tree when we were there. I'm assuming they sold it to someone else. He showed a pic on the phone of another tree he could plant. He said it was the same. We said ok and they came the next morning. The tree they brought was at least 2-3 feet shorter than the one we picked. The root ball was about 1/3 of the one we picked. After talking to the owner and him arguing about the tree, he offered $100 off the price. I was just so pissed off, I just had them plant the new tree just to stop dealing with them. We got this tree to shield our pool from the 2 houses next door that were for sale since we weren't sure how nice they would be. It will be a few f*****g years till it grows to a decent height.

They had both topsoil and sod and they did deliver. I stopped by the nursery to check out and place the order. Do to rain it took a little longer to get but they did finally deliver both. It was not there fault it rained and unfortunately they can not deliver the first when it is raining or they would be delivering mud.
