We were looking for a lunch place , this appeared as an option. We got there about 2ish and ordered from the lunch specials. My daughter had the Hawaiian Vermonter and basically she said it was a chick-fil-a sandwich a bit crunchier with cheese bacon and pineapple. I got the popcorn shrimp special, this was the best shrimp I have ever had at a fast food joint. Fries were really good. Coleslaw, macaroni salad, and potato salad were good. We also got a chocolate creamee " soft serve ice cream". Love going to local places. read more

Best kept secret. You can either walk up and order at the counter, or go in and sit down for service. We ordered awesome huge onion rings with Boom boom sauce, a Philly cheesesteak and the haddock & chips. The Philly cheesesteak was the best I've ever had, and I'm a cheesesteak girl. My wife and I enjoyed our meal here. We was seated promptly and the service was very good no negative issues to report. We had eggs and corn beef hash. The coin beef hash was actually real had chunk the meat in it not from Ken and you can tell the difference. We will return here when we are in Vermont. read more

Cool little stop that we found while adventuring. My husband loved the burger he got with bbq sauce and onion strings. The chicken tenders are HUGE. Ice cream was very good. Absolutely excellent service and food! Came with my family of 7 after visiting a place down the road that was very rude and over priced. So glad to see this place was nicely priced and the staff was so polite and helpful. It was a rainy day and the lady provided us with a towel to wipe down the outdoor seating. After stopping at Saint Gaudens National Site Frazer's was just across the river via a covered bridge. The place has outside and inside eating. The inside was kind of tight so we opted for outside which is covered and has picnic tables. Burgers were good, home made with different toppings possible. Hand cut fries were nice. Large portions - come hungry. Soda and ice tea. Pie and ice cream possible for dessert...but no room for me today. read more

We went for Sunday breakfast at the new Frazer's Place on Rt 5 in Windsor. This new diner used to be home to several local restaurants of the past including: C2's; Stub & Laura's; Donald's; and A&W. Frazer's servers up traditional diner fare such a breakfasts, lunch and dinner as well. They also have ice cream takeout in the summer months. Today we both had omelets which came with toast and home fries. Both came out in short time and were very good. Home fries were seasoned well but a bit soft (not fried). They offer sit at the counter as well as booth and tables, in a comfortable newly painted and renovated space. Outdoor picnic tables are also offered under a sheltered dive in car port. We look forward to coming back to Frazer's the next time we are in old historic Windsor. read more

First off I'd like to say I really appreciate them being open during covid-19 and it was great to see that everyone working there had face mask on and plenty of protective gear . As for the customers going there and not so much that has no bearing on the review of the food at hand. As much as I want to love Frazers i just simply cannot for the following reasons. . .I I ordered a basic bacon cheeseburger with lettuce tomato onion an extra pickle. I also ordered the onion rings. My burger came well done and was kinda rubbery like it was placed frozen on the grill. They only gave me a piece of art us and a very pale unripe tomato slice. No onions, no extra pickle. Kinda disappointing. The flavor of the beef was so, so like nothing special at all. The onion rings were kinda greasy and just ok. Some freshblocal beef would have been nice, as well as beer battered O rings but This is not that kind of place. On a bright note the maple soft serve ice cream was fantastic! Ordered the seafood platter, whole belly clams and sea scallops. It took a very long time to get our food. When it arrived we knew why. The seafood was so overcooked it was not edible. The french fries were so limp and black. You could smell the old oil they had been cooked in. We told the waitress it was not good and overcooked, she could have cared less. Just brought our bill, $43 for a meal that could not be eaten. I do not believe the waitress ever went to talk to the cook or owner about the food. First time and last time of going there. They had potential because we ordered appetizers and they were pretty good. But when we ordered our meal, after the appetizers came, people came in after us and new ppl came in, and they all got their food. However, we were still sitting waiting. The last call was when the booth behind us came in and got their food and we were still without! Half hour to 45 minutes after we had gotten our appetizers! We got up and started to walk out. I told the lady we were leaving that I'd pay for the appetizers, and that's it. She at that point asked the cook if he had put that order in yet??!! Wow! Then she tried to tell us that the fried chicken takes 9 minutes, well ok, however, it had been half hour and no indication of when the food was coming and the sandwich that was with the fried chicken was done already (i guess). Had they given us some excuse as to why the delay it would have been. Better than nothing. Honestly I don't think we should have had to pay for the appetizers either. Never again read more

I walked in with great hopes. That is until we were seated in their concrete block dining area. No softness anywhere so the noise level was deafening. No windows so the air was stagnant. They had a very limited breakfast menu. The food was unremarkable at best. The only thing I wouldn't get at home is someone to clean up after me. That is not a good enough reason for me to return. A very good spot to grab a burger and fries before or after checking out the Harpoon brewery. Their fries are hand cut and cooked perfectly. If you have enough room, they also have a good sized ice cream menu including hard and soft serve. And if my eyes did not deceive me, they have Maple flavored soft serve ice cream which sounds promising. Would love to see the place spruced up a bit in terms of aesthetics and the food to come out a bit quicker. But all things considered, I am certainly happy that we stopped here for some sustenance. Best ice cream joint in the area. It almost reminds me of a drive up style restaurant where you would be served in your car. You can eat in, take out, or eat outside. Walked in and one waitress told us to be seated and another yelled at us it wasn't or table. She the told us we order at the window or wait outside. She turned out to be our waitress and was nice as could be the food was at best a 4. We tipped her 20%. And before we finished our coffee she told us she needed the table. Omg this place was so fun! So, my family and I are from South Florida and we don't have any really small fun diner places. There were only a few tables and we were in the middle of nowhere and the food was amazing. I had a milkshake and they needed more ice cream so they actually offered to go get the necessary ingredients for the shake lol. I ended up ordering a bunch of stuff, pulled pork, chill, breakfast stuff, idk a lot of things. We had gone for breakfast and returned later for lunch. All of the food was great! The waitress was really nice, and even though I had just gotten to the place, I felt like she knew me personally. Decent food at a low price. Had the highway burger, just wish they asked me how I wanted the burger and egg cooked. Husband had Duncan's pub Sandwhich (basically a simple philly cheese steak, good but could have used some more flavor). Great chicken nuggets. But the 4 stars are really for their ice cream - some of the best we have ever had. I had maple soft serve which was so good, husband had the red velvet which was also different and good. Black raspberry was not good... felt grainy in my mouth and maybe not made with ripe raspberries. The ice cream menu had a lot of flavors for both hard and soft serve. Over 30 each! Sone also dr serve flavors are just vanilla with a flavor added, while some come out of the machine (which I would prefer). So ask about your flavor of that maters to you. read more

While in Vermont, we stopped by this place. When we drove in, it looks like a hole in the wall sketchy place. However, the food was okay. The cheesy waffle fries were great . I got the chicken sandwich and it was pretty good but not amazing. I also ordered the banana cream pie and that was amazing. My boyfriend got the loaded veggie wrap, and it was basically just raw vegetables in wrap which was disappointing considering the amazing reviews we saw before we went. read more
