This was an amazing breakfast and brunch spot, so popular with locals that there was 20-25 minutes wait time. Luckily we got seats at the counter without any wait time. The place is old school diner with compact booths and huge counter. In the back they have merchandise and all the awards and recognitions framed. The menu had wide variety of breakfast items. We ordered the mickey mouse waffle, steak & egg and scrambled egg with tots. The steak was little extra cooked, but still I loved the whole dish, the egg and toast were perfect. Waffle was also cooked well. Our server was a hard worker. She was helping a bunch guests all sitting at the counter. To my surprise, they accepted all kinds of credit cards, not just cash. I liked the modern touch there :p

A popular breakfast place in Lebanon NH. It was a line when we got there, it was a even longer line when we left. Typical diner menu. Eggs, potatoes, toasts, meats etc. All tasted very buttery and flavorful. Great portion. My daughter definitely loved her Mickey Mouse pancake. Looking at the staff running around was like a show to me. They all were very efficient, remembered all the requests from different tables. At the mean time, so sweet and nice to everyone. I probably loose my mind if one person asking me for water in the crazy busy diner. Not a big diner. Some booths and tables. Bar is first come first serve. American theme decoration with Elvis statue on top.

We were at the VA Hospital in White River Junction, Vermont. Hubby was starving post procedure and this place was recommended by his nurse. I checked it on Yelp and read positive reviews. So here we are..... We got seated by the counter, no wait. We got our food promptly. The eggs benedict with corned beef hash was delicious. The hash was homemade not from a can. My bagel and lox was also good, only negative was the english muffin and bagel could been toasted a little more. I ordered a sticky bun to go. Good as well. The place is a regular diner with booth and table seating. The counter has vintage stool seating. All in all good experience and we will go back if in town.

What a fun outing! We stopped on a frigid day for brunch and were so pleased with our experience. Usually, this place is *jammed*, so we can't even park much less get through the door, but it was early on a Friday afternoon and we were seated quickly. Although they were going to be closing soon, the staff was friendly and kind and made us feel absolutely welcome and not rushed. You enter the diner by way of a refurbished dining car with thick wooden tables, comfortable wooden booths (each with coat hooks), and a sizable counter with alternating red and white stools. Magic 8 Balls adorn the centers of tables and the counter top, encouraging fun while you wait for your food to be expertly prepared. The diner was first opened in 1952 and the day we were there, the best music from the 1970s was playing. It felt like there should be a jukebox playing the songs. I could not believe the size of my omelet. I ordered the Florentine and could only eat half of it. The toast was thick and not saturated with butter (which I appreciated), and the French fries were decent. My dining companion ordered the home fries and I think I would try them next time. If we are lucky enough to catch them on a quiet day!

This place was straight out of a movie, a true small town diner with employees who seem like they grew up coming in. The food tremendous and extremely affordable. I ordered an egg home fries and toast breakfast with a side of bacon that cost around $6. Good luck finding that anywhere else. Everything was hot and fresh, and just flat out delicious. Only area I saw a room for improvement was as their cut off time for seating. There were some walk-ins around 1:40 that were pushed away even through they were still open and had open tables. There is a hard cut off, wanting patrons to be leaving at closing if not before.

This is a great local spot!!! The vibe is sooo old school. The staff is super friendly. The food was great and so fresh! It gave us a step back into the past and it was amazing. Well worth it to check out for a great local spot! Highly recommend!

Wanted a place with quick service and good food, Four Aces Delivered. A Burger with Cheese bacon and mushrooms - cooked medium was delicious. The turkey, stuffing and cranberry was also very good. Eclectic decor having opened in 1952, lots of momentous to look at. Give it a try, seems like the locals love it. Lots of parking.

That was the best breakfast I have ever had for an omelette and STRONG FLAVORED COFFEE! We both had kitchen sink omelette with American cheese, highly recommended The atmosphere was very diner like NOT noisy at all The seating was a standard 15min wait with buzzers or no wait for us to sit a bar The staff were all dressed appropriately in diner t-shirts, friendly, hair out of face The service was fast Our waitress MARY was an 84 yo lady whom has been there for 35 years and she made the experience even better I am not from area about hr and 15 min away but would DEFINITELY travel for it HOPE EVERYONE TRIES THIS PLACE OUT!

This diner is one of the best diners I have ever been to. It's small and full of catchy phrases on the walls. It really felt like homie. The food was absolutely delicious. I felt full, the waitress was very kind and patient. Especially since I asked her a bunch of questions. I would definitely go again

great food, great service at an unbelievable price…read more we stopped in here on our way back to Boston. We had no pre read what we were getting. I didn't see the menu, nada. this was literally the best meal of our entire vacation! (we spent 5-6 times more elsewhere and this still topped it!). Google maps cited it as the closest restaurant with the least diversion from our path. We are soooo happy we went. I would recommend it to anyone for a real hometown experience. Thank Y'all for an amazing lunch. I got an open faced hamburger with fries and pickled beets and my husband got the club sandwich with turkey. (adding in some amazing homemade coconut At the end). my burger was really great. my husband loved his sandwich. he is a picky and not a big eater but he ate every bite of his meal and most of the pie. This is the kind of simple (but great) diner food I miss so so much. it just doesn't really exist anymore. it literally made my trip! we were total strangers unlike nearly everyone in there that was greeted by name. they treated us like they knew us for years and every person in the diner staff engaged with us while we were there. 15/10 experience. I so wish I lived locally so I could go there regularly!

They have a small parking lot next to the building. The spots are tight so be prepared to squeeze into and out of your vehicle. There are several steps up into the restaurant from the sidewalk. They offer breakfast all day so we both got what we wanted. I ordered eggs cooked my way and got their home made bread for a small up charge. The bread was a thick slice of tasty white that I enjoyed. They offer egg plates with a variety of items including meats and potatoes. The hamburger my dining companion ordered was a big portion with lots of fresh toppings cooked to the temperature he requested. Our waitress was very nice. She kept an eye on us, was efficient and pleasant. My coffee was good and came with those little single serve creamers. Nice little breakfast and lunch spot.

It is solid diner food. Big portions, tasty food and fast service makes a great trifecta. Any place offering tater tots is ok in my book! They make their desserts. Just after we were seated, 12 hungry college students walked in. These young men ate well, left sated and happy. If you are looking for good food and a relaxed atmosphere, The Fort is your place. But first, when you drive in, you will never think there is a restaurant here! And once you walk in, you definitely think you misunderstood the term, "restaurant." But keep walking to the back and towards the right, and you'll find a door that opens up to a whole, charming, old-fashioned slice of historic Lebanon, NH country restaurant. You can get breakfast, lunch or dinner here, and breakfast is served all day. So, unless you are looking for 24-hour breakfast at Denny's, this is the most awesome homestyle diner to eat at up through 6:30pm-ish (it clears out by 7:45 i think). There is a lot of charm to be had, here, including friendly waitresses and cantankerously-charming cooks. And did I mention that I loved the vintage country music?! :) There is a narrow U-shaped counter here with a fair amount of counter seating. Our server was fast and friendly. We really enjoyed it when one of the cooks came out who has just the right amount of self-depricating humor if you dare to banter with him. The hot cakes and biscuits are cooked on a real cast-iron griddle, here, and you can taste that flavor and how good it is. The biscuits are like nothing I've seen: cast iron grilled corn meal and wheat maybe? Not sure. They look like hamburger buns but have the mouth feel of a nice, firm cornbread - though not as sweet. Our biscuit was overcooked but if I get back there, next time I'll ask for it toasted light. This biscuit did have a good and unique flavor. You might ask for your hot cakes cooked light, as well, because one of those came out dark. And we had to send back the first order of pancakes because one was dark on the outside but raw batter burst through. It we go back and get our dishes served less brown I will upgrade my rating because I was delighted with The Fort, otherwise. We got a double side of mashed potatoes and gravy as an appetizer and it was delicious! They have an almost-whipped but definitely substantial feel, yet also firm and so buttery. Very good! You can tell the cooks put a lot of work into this food and that comes across in the flavors. We ordered a breakfast called the Lumberjack and it was gigantic! Two eggs, 3 slices of fresh, crispy bacon, big sausage patties, 2 gigantic slices of rye toast and well-seasoned potatoes. There was a very subtle taste of garlic seasoning and I loved it! The bacon was my favorite: tasty - oversized and light in flavor - vs. some of the real country bacon I've tasted a few times around here. Their sweet tea is good. It tastes like the homemade version of what Country Time Lemonade was modeled after. Their two dessert cases definitely serve up some tasty treats: homemade muffins, cruellers, donuts, pies, oversized brownies and gigantic coconut squares (chocolate chips, concise slivers, Oreo cookies and tons of other sweet goodies layered in). You can order 3 different types of pie slices for the same price of a half of a pie. We ordered: 1. Coconut Custard: sweet, coconut throughout the custard, with even sweeter whipped cream 2. Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie: smooth and sweet peanut butter filling with a very present flavor of Hershey's syrup. This is good and tastes like flavors i haven't enjoyed for decades. You will not find this anywhere else. 3. Cherry Pie: perfectly tart, round and plump cherries with a sweet sauce. I love that the cherries aren't over-baked and drowning in a sea of sauce in half sizes. The pie crust is thick and buttery. Order to go items by 7:30pm at the latest. Or be seated by 6:30pm latest because when they close at 8pm, customers are leaving by 7:45pm.

Honestly, I was hoping to have a soup of some type but there was none available on the menu so I opted for the chicken salad Sandwich (didn't seem a very Turkish fare), but it was good...although the Sandwich needed more chicken salad to offset the thick Texas toast; there really was very little on the Sandwich. My husband had their PLT, a sandwich that had more substance to it (there was more bacon on it than there was chicken on my sandwich)...but again, both sandwiches tasted good. To drink we tried a couple of their cocktails and while tasty and unique they were very speedy, $16 is far too much to charge for them...the price definitely prevented me from having another, and when we go back to have dinner...we probably will skip drinks (not worth $32 for two people.) Don't get me wrong, we aren't cheap people, we just want a good value...the drinks aren't that. Our server was great! He was friendly, helpful, and there when we needed him. Couldn't have asked for more from him. We did also have a hot appetizer. I forget the name of it now, it was $9 for 2, deep fried rolls (like egg rolls of a sort but with Philly dough and filled differently), these were very good...I could have eaten several, I wish I remembered what they were, but they are last on the list of hot appetizers so you can find them.
