Every time I come here, I always walk away, wanting to go immediately back. I haven't tried anything that I didn't like. I'm sad that the brussels sprouts are no longer on their happy hour menu, but with the amount of people ordering them, I can see why

Well, I know I've posted about Sunday Brunch but I haven't had the pleasure of posting about HAPPY HOUR! From 4-6pm you can enjoy everything from salmon sliders to poutine for... $9! If you enjoy a great sip or two, you can also enjoy Classic Cocktails such as a Pineapple Daiquiri, Old Fashioned OR even a Manhattan for $10. The food is always good, the staff is effortlessly kind and the ambience DEPENDING on the time you go, is chill. However, as the weather heats up you can probably expect tables to fill faster and for your favorite dishes to run out. You've been warned. Tell em Ebbi send ya!

You're here for an answer, here it is, do it. Book the reservation, hop on the happy hour, make the date. The details, we did set a reservation, we had a blind couple date, there were supposed to be 6 of us and ended up being 4. Service was great in that, we were checked on regularly food came out at a good pace. To me this was a place that I always heard of and didn't pay much mind to, now it has been moved to a great date night spot. There were many other entrees on the menu that I want to try.

Very cute little gastropub. The host was not very friendly and definitely acted like it was an inconvenience to seat us. Thankfully we stayed because our server was very friendly. We had Brussel sprouts, feta mousse, and car 'ney' asada tacos. The Brussels sprouts were amazing! The feta mousse was very salty. (And we like salty things but it was over the top). The tacos were just okay...wouldn't get them again.

This place was great! They had a nice option for seated inside and outside. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. Our food came out in an organized manner. It definitely a place where you can wear a cuter outfit but not have to dress up too much. Our food was really good! The fries and Brussels sprouts were incredible! Our server was great too dealing with multiple checks and splitting some items

One of St. Louis' best all-around spots -- cozy, creative, and consistently delicious! Retreat Gastropub never misses. From the small plates to the mains, everything is thoughtfully made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and tons of flavor. Their menu hits that perfect balance between comfort food and creativity -- you can tell every dish is crafted with care. The burger, salmon, pastas, Brussels sprouts, whipped feta, and brunch are all standouts, and their drinks are some of the most creative and inspired in the city -- truly one better than the next. The service is unmatched -- friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food. I've even said "surprise me" to a server before, and somehow they always pick exactly what I didn't know I was craving. It's that kind of place where they just get it. The vibe is perfect for a cozy date night or a night out with a small group (the space is intimate, so not ideal for big parties), and it always feels welcoming, relaxed, and special. We absolutely love this place -- it's the perfect mix of great food, great drinks, and even better people.

I love the eccentric vibe of this place. It's right on the corner on the very edge of CWE. You can almost miss it, but don't! We sat with reservations in the back, and got our table right away. Passing the bar, it's definitely a bar I'd love to come back and sit at to have a few drinks and relax. The food was amazing, and the tequila drinks were even better! We had a warm goat cheese appetizer - that I highly suggest along with the buffalo cauliflower. Everyone liked their food, and the service was great and very kind. Check it out!

I was told if you're looking for a good craft cocktail bar try this pub and you will not be disappointed, I'm sad to say I was disappointed. Browsing the website I found a couple of drinks that piqued my interest only to find out the menu had not been updated. With that being said it's false advertising in my opinion . Of seven drinks only one was still available which was the Corn Colada cocktail . It was just ok. Moving on i ordered the chicken sandwich meal which consisted of honey chili glaze, Gouda, slaw, housemade pickles on a brioche bun and fries. The chicken tastes boiled and the fries tasted like overcooked air fryer fries. No seasoning whatsoever on anything, just bland! Outdoor patio was an option and I did make a reservation but we opted to sit indoors considering patio was dog friendly and I'm allergic. Taylor was our server and that scored an extra star. She was friendly and attentive. I did like the dark and sultry vibes.

What a wonderful place! We started with the seasonal salad. Filled with so many fresh flavors! Followed by potato and leek soup - creamy deliciousness with a lovely little slice of garlicky bread. Next was the Brussel sprouts - surprisingly sweet and savory - a real unique take on this dish. Finally the steak frites. Lovely char on the steak. Our server was quick and professional. Wonderful spot!

The server was fantastic and the food was AMAZING. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was blown away at how good it was!

Guys this place was SOOOOO good! Stopped in for a bite after work while visiting St. Louis and was not disappointed. Super friendly staff and amazing food. Quick service! 12/10 will definitely come back next time I'm here. I did the farmhouse burger with brussel sprouts so yum!

10/10!! Came here for my birthday dinner and so happy we did. Retreat has a fantastic menu and the drink menu is equally great. Extremely creative and delicious! Perfect portion sizes and fair prices. The menu is like elevated bar food which is right up my alley. The atmosphere was super lively and fun on a Friday night. Great place for a date. We tried the burgers, the parm fries, the cheese dip, risotto balls, and Brussels sprouts. Everything was out of this world! 10/10 all around. And the service was fantastic and we had a table of 10. Highly recommend!!!

Another nice dinner at Retreat. Great food and drinks. No complaints. We always get the vegan brussel sprouts, some of the best in the City. I tried the vegan tacos for the first time. They were good. The black beans were seasoned well. My boyfriend loves shrimp and grits and thinks the dish is great here!

The bouncer was super nice and he actually walked me all the way in. our waitress was also very nice and attentive. It was not busy when we were there and we had reservations for a group of six, which is apparently the most you can have on a reservation. We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday and everyone got a variety of drinks from the cocktail menu. I got their version of the whiskey sour with the cherry froth on top and it was so good. The waitress said it is the most popular and I can see why I really enjoyed it and would've ordered more if it wasn't so expensive for one drink the table, got a variety of the small bites such as the cheese and the Barada. They also got some bread which looked awesome. I did not try personally, but it looked very impressive. the atmosphere is dark and mysterious. It smelled good and felt fancy. The decor is very tasteful and makes you feel like you are truly in a speakeasy. The location is outstanding with it being near the foundry. If you're looking for a place to grab a drink, this is definitely a fun stop however, don't expect a full meal. Overall would be back!

We showed up without a reservation, which I wouldn't necessarily recommend. We were initially told the wait would probably be around an hour and a half, so reservations are definitely a good idea. Somehow, we got super lucky and received a text that they were ready for us only about 10 or 15 minutes later. We ended up sitting at the bar, which honestly made the experience even better. If you enjoy watching bartenders work their magic, I highly recommend sitting there if you get the chance. The cocktails here are unlike anything we've had before, and it was so much fun watching all the different drinks being made and seeing the creativity that goes into each one. Our bartender, John, was amazing. He was incredibly personable, answered all of our questions, and was genuinely enjoyable to talk to throughout the evening. Between the two of us, we tried four cocktails. I started with the Linea Uno and asked John if he could make it less bitter after the woman sitting next to me mentioned that was an option. It was delicious, although I apparently didn't pay enough attention to the menu when ordering because it was tequila-based, and tequila normally isn't my first choice. The Trade Winds was one of the coolest drinks of the night, made with clarified rum, apricot, and coconut and topped with mango air. The mango air literally looked like bubbles but smelled like mango. Such a unique presentation, and the drink itself was really enjoyable. My husband tried the New York Whiskey Sour, made with clarified whiskey, yuzu, tart cherry, and black lime cordial with a red wine foam. Again, the presentation was beautiful, and it tasted just as good as it looked. My personal favorite was Ankra's Passion Fruit Martini, made with vodka, vanilla, passion fruit, lime, and bubbles. It came with a small glass of champagne on the side, which was a really nice touch. John mentioned that I could drink the champagne separately or add it to the martini as I went. I ended up pouring some into the cocktail, and for me, it balanced out the sweetness of the passion fruit perfectly. The entire speakeasy experience was just fun, from trying to find the entrance to making our way inside and finally settling in at the bar. We took plenty of pictures and videos along the way, but I'm intentionally not posting most of them because I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone visiting for the first time. I will share a picture of the red light you need to look for at The Foundry since we initially had a little trouble figuring out where to go, along with some photos of our drinks. The rest of the journey inside is something I think you should experience for yourself. Creative cocktails, beautiful presentations, a genuinely fun atmosphere, and fantastic service from John made this an easy five-star experience for us. If you're visiting The Foundry and enjoy unique cocktails and hidden speakeasies, None of the Above is absolutely worth finding. Just learn from us and make a reservation. We got very lucky!

I'm disappointed that it took me so long to make my way here. They won me over with the tiny dedicated parking lot. At my big age, difficult parking situations are a turn off and I will go home if I can't get reasonable parking. I was able to snag a space in the lot and headed in. The space is a bit dark with rich sage, brass, and terracotta. There are several hanging plants making it an inviting place. The bar has plenty of comfortable seating and cozy tables if you decide to bring some friends. Caleb was our server during our visit. He was an absolute delight. He made excellent cocktail suggestions. He looked after our group without being overly doting. Just a gem of a human. We tried approximately 9 cocktails during our visit. Did I mention we were at brunch! I highly recommend the peach bite and the Side Car. Every cocktail is thoughtfully made and well executed. They offer a small brunch menu along with the regular menu. I usually always get chilaquiles when they are available. But today the ruby trout and grits sounded perfect. This dish was amazing!! The trout was thin with crispy skin. The grits were creamy and delicious. The dish is topped with a house made radish pico and salsa macha. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich that was paired with the crispiest breakfast potatoes I've ever had. The burger and fries are also a good option. The seasoning on the fries is next level. The brunch menu has a sticky toffee roll that is a perfect size for sharing or not. Salty sweet fork tender cinnamon roll. Lastly, the deviled eggs were a group favorite. I am a big fan of Passenger Chili Crisp. If you are unfamiliar please look them up! It's hands down the best chili crisp I've ever had. It's locally made here in STL and can also be found in several dishes at restaurants around town. The eggs were creamy with the right amount of tang from the mustard. The chili crisp made these deviled eggs easily top five best I've ever had! Planning to stop in again soon for happy hour with more friends

It's cozy in the best possible way, with an atmosphere that invites laughter, celebration, and maybe just a little fabulous mischief. The bartenders? Absolute pros. Warm, welcoming, and clearly masters of their craft. Naturally, I ordered my classic gin and tonic, and it was perfection in a glass -- crisp, balanced, and exactly what a proper G&T should be. I heard from the birthday boy and his wonderful wife that the owners were incredibly accommodating, and you could feel that hospitality throughout the entire evening. Everything felt effortless and welcoming -- the kind of place where people clearly care about creating a great night. And then... the party truly began. We were seated right by the entrance with a curtain separating the area. True to its name, a Tiger statue sits at the entrance which is decorated in tropical manner. The theme continues within the restaurant. Lazy Tiger has a happy hour which if I remember correctly, ended at 6:30. Their cocktails are $12 during happy hour (rather than $14) and they have a selection of snack type items which you could have as appetizers if you'd like. We both got a cocktail. My husband had the human costume (gin, amaro, blanc vermouth, melon, gnartruese, malic acid) and I had the humble brag (gin, rhum, salted banana, forbidden rice, coconut, lemon). Both were refreshing and different but in a good and surprising way. We started with the nachos from the happy hour menu and added some pork belly per our writer's recommendation. I love pork belly anything anyway. The nacho was a huge serving! And it was very tasty with a good amount of crispy pork belly peppered throughout. I had the Morrocan spiced halibut served with couscous, asparagus, Spanish chorizo, tomatoes, pistachio dukkah. Halibut was well seasoned and prepared perfectly. We also shared an order of the vegetable fried rice and added some spam because I am a sucker for spam fried rice. It came with some chili crisps which brought the dish to another level. My husband had the tamales which he thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't get to try some but it looked fantastic. We ended up taking home the rest of my meal and the rest of the fried rice which have been devoured over the weekend. Service was fantastic. I love the vibe, I love the food!
