We got a new one, all of a sudden, who said we were going to have a reduction, because the car's interior was in poor condition. It was a work car, for customers to drive with us in. It was immaculate. The soil was because the tow people stuck the torn of fenders and bumper parts inside the car back seat! So we got it esclated. Then Liberty "discovered" not only that the car had been undervalued but that we had a special coverage which required them to comp us for a car one year newer (same make and model), with about half as many miles as we actually had! So we ended up with an extra $4400. But we had to fight and fight and fight. A home hail damage claim, from last winter 2018... a year ago. Took two dozen phone calls, and similar number of long emails, escalation to a manager. A nearly endless battle. Finally got the check yesterday, got an email at 9:32 PM, asking me to do something about the check. AWFUL CLAIMS SERVICE. YOU HAVE TO FIGHT THEM FOR EVERYTHING.

My car has less than 5000 miles on it. Recently I was in a pretty major accident where I was T-bone by a large truck. Progressive refuses to total out my car even though right now they're at around $12,000 and it could still keep going up, but they insist on trying one part at a time and seeing how that goes, and then when it doesn't go good, they add one more part and see how that goes, and if it doesn't go good, etc., etc. etc. Also they told me that they're going to use recycled parts (some from cars that have been in accidents and could be from older years vehicles that had the same part) and aftermarket (not Volkswagen parts) on my new car because they're allowed to do that if it isn't a new car of the same year of the accident date. Even though my car is new, I purchased it from the local Volkswagen dealership in February of 2026. My car is a 2025 (two months away from being purchased in 2025. This is my insurance company that's doing this to me. I am disabled and they're causing me so much stress and aggravation that I'm not eating right and I'm not sleeping right. I've been paying for a rental car for three weeks now and I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to afford to pay for it. I might have to just not have a car for a while. which is difficult. Also, for the first week of the claim the representative handling the claim said that his system was down so he wasn't able to do anything. And recently I just found out that they were siding with the truck owner because there's a witness apparently that no one ever contacted and because they don't even have his phone number. This whole situation is horrible, and I will never recommend Progressive Insurance to anyone! Insurance is supposed to give you peace of mind that you're covered if anything like an accident happens, but instead all they've given me is stress and aggravation and big bills because besides paying for the rental car which is gonna probably cost me $1500-$2000 I also am gonna have to pay the difference between recycled parts and brand new OEM parts which will be another $1500-$2000. When they could've just put my car down as a total loss, which most insurance companies would have done with the extent of the damage. If you were thinking about getting Auto Insurance with Progressive Do Not! This company is awful.

I am an extremely difficult person to deal with (no, seriously) and Janie is amazing. When I first signed up with Farmers a year ago from State Farm. She had explained to me that at the rates that State Farm had been charging me doubled of what she offered and I barely had any coverage. With Farmers she got me double the protection and a lower rate. She even explained how the insurance policy works. Which honestly I don't think anyone actually had ever done before. Seriously. Usually insurance agents will say things in a way to legally tell you what they are giving you but not actually tell you what you are getting. Janie is absolutely up front with everything. She goes the extra mile in everything that she has done for me. I am extremely happy with my policy. In my opinion you can't find better than Janie Mormon.
