This store is VERY HARD to get in and out of. It's just not easily accessible, which is a definite drawback. The bulk food section is ok, but I've seen better ones in the Port Orchard store. Prices on nonfood items are high, I find. Produce department is ok. read more

I lived only a few minutes away; this is a great place the prices is not overbearing. But what makes this place a great place is that one place to do thing and done and go home store. You can do nearly anything here from order a cake for a party, have a quick snack, get your medicine, pick up some sandals, and maybe get some videos and also bank at the inside Chase bank. I do feel this is a great place for many things I need and that one stop convenience is something that many places don't have. The only real store similar to this is not Walmart in Highway 303 is the Target in Silverdale. Yes Target does not have an extensive food area, but is it as close one can get to Fred Meyers. Plus outside the store there are mini stores from a computer repair place, a coffee shop to an key shop. So this is a great place to do nearly anything. read more

It's a Fred Meyer, they are always clean and have an awesome selection and employees that seems like they care existence, unlike Walmart. I used to shop here all of the time when I lived in Kitsap County. This is a very nice Fred Meyer, very spacious, modern and with plentiful parking. One stop shopping provides great produce (organics), bulk items, health food section, media, household, and clothing. Their sales are out of this world, with mark downs up to 75%. I've gotten many great deals including a pair of leather boots marked down to $20 from $120! I really miss this store. read more

He is extremely knowledable on jewlery and doesn't pressure you to buy. he asks questions so he can find the right piece for you. Ahh, Ferd Mert (as we call it). I stop in for some toilet paper and leave with a house plant, bulk snacks, a cat scratching post, and a set of flannel sheets. They have it all! Grocery prices are pretty good but other departments' items seem a little marked up. This location was recently remodeled and is not as depressing visually as other nearby stores. It has a great "natural foods" (aka 2 aisles of Whole Foods-esque items) section. If you can't find your brand of yogurt or tea in the main store sections try here, and vice versa.The produce area is sometimes lacking, but they have a great cheese selection, and eating a wedge of brie is better than chomping a rutabaga anyway. The cashiers are friendly and the lines move fairly quickly. The parking lot's a nightmare and a kick-it spot for tweakers, otherwise this is our favorite grocery store in the area. I love all employees at this store, everyone is so friendly and helpful EXCEPT Jessica who is the cashier in the garden center entrance. She gives me attitude each time I tell her I dont have a FM card, she never greets me as she rings up my groceries, very cold and unfriendly. I try to strike up conversation with her and she is just all around unfriendly. As a previous business owner I understand the importance of customer service!!! She defiantly needs to change her attitude! If she is that miserable at her job, perhaps she find a new one. read more

We love our Freddy's! We're there about every other day or so for items. I always say I'm going to be more organized and make a once a week list, but it never happens. Oh well, we're close. They have a good selection of bulk, natural, and vegetarian items. They have a good organic produce section with prices that are really good for organic. Food prices everywhere are going up, but we've found that Freddy's is still the cheapest. On a rare occasion that I need to return a food item there is no problems (with receipt) and a quick money return. Even without a receipt I didn't have any trouble. I should note however that we only buy groceries here. Their other household items are too pricey. PROS: They give 5 cents for every cloth bag you bring and the rewards card gives us about $30 in free items every 3 months. We know some of the checkers by name and love it. They have a new organic line "simply organic" that is very well-priced. Customer service is usually excellent. Now and then you'll get a grumpy one, but they don't seem to last. They'll beep your coupon and then give it back to you to use again next time. The back of each receipt has a 20% off coupon for Azteca next door. I can go on and on. Negatives: they just put in a whole lot of handicapped parking on the side where we used to park. Because there are so many, they are often empty. (Just griping because I had to give up my favorite parking spot). I hear they may not treat their employees as well with pay, benefits, hours, etc. but I don't know for sure. read more

I'm a big fan of this store. I can have coffee, do some banking, grab dinner and buy myself a new outfit in the same shopping trip. I like that they actually have real people at the checkstands.... unlike Albertsons who has one checker if you're lucky and really faulty self checkstands if you're not. I love the wide variety of food that Freddys offers and the customer service is great. I love the gals in the meat department. If i'm not sure what the difference is in the cuts of meat or have any question at all, Sue and Bobbie are always there to help. They are super freindly and always guide me in the right direction :) Oh did I mention that they have a daycare center for you to use while you shop. Although I don't personally use it I can see how it would be handy for some families with children who dont exactly make shopping a joyful experience. read more

While I love Fred Meyers wide selection of foods, including a nice organic section and their customer service is outstanding. The parking lot design is a total nightmare! It is hard to navigate around, the parking spaces are at an angle which allows only for one way traffic. I have witness many road rages in the parking lot mainly out of confusion and there are a few stop signs that are useless. I have avoided shopping at Fred Meyers due to the fact that I simply I did not want to deal with the parking lot. It would be nice if they would update the design of the lot, I would shop there as my main grocery store if they did. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Fred Meyer is horribly expensive, they don't have online shopping on their website, and worse than that, they have the worst customer service ever! Over the past year, I've encountered several rude cashiers and customer service people having inappropriate conversations in front of me and my kids while I've been in their Bremerton store. One of them even went on and on about how all of the managers there are morons and even was so bold as to swear a few times throughout our conversation. I felt it was very inappropriate, especially in front of my kids! I own a business and my husband and I go into their store twice a month to cash a money order that one of my clients purchases from their store and gives us as payment. We've been in their store at least 6 times over the past few months to cash their money order and they have NEVER cashed it for us. Every time we talk to them they give us a different excuse at to why they can't cash it. One cashier said we needed the receipt attached to it. Our bank said that was completely wrong and made absolutely no sense. Why would we have the receipt? Our business customer that bought the money order would keep that part for their records. We've been told we couldn't cash it because a name was on it, because it didn't have a name on it, because it was signed, because it wasn't signed, and on and on. Today we were told they couldn't cash it because the client forgot to write their address on it. It seems to me that they are just grasping at straws for reasons not to have to help us. Very disappointing Fred Meyer, very disappointing! Save your money and go elsewhere because nothing is worse than having to deal with Fred Meyer's customer service! read more

I actually like this store quite a bit. They have some interesting products there that I don't find often or at all elsewhere. Granted, yes, sometimes some of it does get kind of expensive, but they seem to keep their produce section cleaner than some other stores (I've seen FLIES near the fruit in some chain grocers - ugh), and it's nice to be able to browse through a bit of everything. read more

I think wal mart is over rated. I honestly dislike going to wal mart after so many years. Fred Meyers is a nice alternative. The staff is friendly. There is some limit of products, but that goes with wal mart and k mart and target type of stores as well. So considering it is in a small town like Bremerton I am happy to even have the choice at all of being able to shop here. read more

Even though I enjoy shopping at Fred Meyer and find it convenient, I noticed just about every time I have been in there lately, that people are bringing in non-service dogs. I finally made a comment to a Manager who told me that they are not allowed to " say anything" to the people bringing in the dogs. I contacted the corporate customer service but my question about non-service dogs was not addressed except to say that Managers may ask people about the dog but may not ask any personal questions such as who they are or what their disability is, per the American Disabilities Act which only addresses Service dogs. Service dogs are required to be inoculated and disease free. Non-service dogs and therapy dogs do not have those requirements which puts every ones' health at risk. I am disappointed that Fred Meyer cannot seem to be able to understand the issue or deal with animals in the store. It is a health hazard. I have seen people who are sensitive to allergens covering their shopping baskets with newspaper to keep germs and allergens off their food. Fred Meyer needs to get involved to protect all their customers. read more

I purchased concert tickets for my daughter as a gift. The conert was cancelled and we went to return the tickets to Fred Meyers ticket master where we had purchased the tickets. We called the store prior to leaving Suquamish to make sure the hours and we were told over the phone by electronics I belive that is who we were transferred to it was open until 9:30pm. We then went to the movies and arrived at ticket master prompty at straight up 9pm. Arriving and letting the clerk named Cindy know what we neeed she started off rudely by we close at 9pm so I cant help you and you will need to return. We asked if she could please try as we drove all the way from Suquamish and it is quite a trip as we dont travel much to Bremerton especially with gas prices today. She got on the phone. Me and my whole family were there Christy & Tony our daughters Cassy, Jillian and Raven. I arrived at counter after purchsing stuff from grocery store and asked what was up. Cindy the clerk turned around and said please dont yell at me, I wasn't not yelling or even talking to her I was talking to my daughters. Cassy then left the counter to go get a manager who could possibly help us in a nicer way we don't deserve to be treated like that. Cindy then turned and asked who is getting the money I said me and she said follow me I can't do anything further for you. She took us to customer service where she told them she couldn't get us a refund as her till will be off and she will be fired. The male clerk told her he would take over and she could go to register 13 to help. He then got on the phone and called 2 different managers asking how to get us a refund. We finally got the refund and were about to leave when Cindy came back behind the counter to say who ever told them over the phone we were open until 9:30 is wroing and they shouldn't do it again. Like she came back over to prove her point and be rude some more it was very annoying and I asked them to make sure a Manager calls us back about how she treated us. She is not a good representative of Fred Meyers or ticket master and needs some customer service skills. I work in the entertainment industry and know good customer service and she did not have the skills or choice not to use them that night. March 31st, 2012. I also sent a complaint letter to the store itself and I am waiting to hear back. Thanks I will never again use that ticket master and probaly will never go to fred Meyers our experience was awful. read more
