I shopped Trader Joe's today. I love this store and have always thought that their customer service was the best. Today they exceeded my expectations! When I opened the back of my SUV to put my groceries inside, the gallon can of paint that my hubby had just picked up rolled out, sprang open, and dumped about 1/2 gallon of bright blue paint onto the parking lot in front of the store. While I was almost in tears seeing the mess and the damage done to my favorite shoes and black pants, several TJ folks came out to help us in any way they could. I don't know how they will be able to get the parking lot back to normal, but the way they handled the situation was beyond excellent! They even handed me a bouquet of flowers as we left. Thank you, Trader Joe's staff! I was a loyal customer before, but now my hubby was witness to how great you guys are too. Bravo! read more

Great selection of niche and healthy options. They have kefir and a coconut smoothie that competes with the national brands I often buy. The place is a dream, but their customers are not! I don't know what it is with this store, but the shoppers are terribly mindless. Whilst I am aware that people get hyper focused when shopping; these people take it too far. Every time I shop, and I mean EVERY time, people are excessively mindless. They walk right into me, or cut me off, without keeping their heads up and eyes aware that other people are shopping. I often have to have full 2 minute conversations with shoppers about their behavior as if they are children. All of the parking stalls in the lot are also compact stalls and are not marked as compact. Sometimes I will avoid the store altogether because of their unusually narrow stalls, as I drive a large van. I don't know why the clientele here are so inept when it comes to others. It's very dissuading, not just to shop, but to see society slumping in this fashion. Is it just Silverdale? If I try another Trader Joes in another demographic, I'll report back. Courteous and helpful staff. Aisles are spacious whether if using a basket or cart. We shopped and found what we needed in a jiffy. I really enjoy finding Daily Sunscreen SPF 40 and Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer with Aloe & Green Tea Extract that is clear, silky, translucent, lightweight, and applies smoothly on skin. Lucky to find Peach Cereal Bars, seasonings, and Trader Joe's zippered insulated handle bags. Visit each aisle and ensure not to miss anything from one end to the other. Check out was a breeze. PLEASE put the diaper changer outside of the 2 bathroom stall. Two stalls alone is not enough for the ladies restroom let alone having the diaper changer in the only handicap stall. I've been shopping here off and on for years now... Associates are always great! Store is always clean and well stocked. Only less than a handful of times has there one or two spots of an EXACT item been out of stock. I've been there during early hours when they begin stocking or later in the day on a weekend. Some items are short lived too. Kitsap is still rapidly expanding with people moving here therefore; any expectation of 'having everything in stock' FOR YOU should be out the window as they are managing for the variation in customers who walk out with a cart full or a handful. Love shopping here and hope oneday they will relocate to a spot with better parking as it's a pain on the south side of the building not being able to have a sloped curb to get to the front of the store. The usual What's not to love about Trader Joes? I mean it's a toss up between them and Costco on who has the best employees. These guys and gals are always helpful and smiling way too much, you would think they were advertising their dental plan. Even through their masks. Anyway it's the standard I need to get my supplies before heading home. I know you read all my Trader Joe's reviews concerning what I want to get.......EVERYTHING. There were a couple of items I wanted but weren't in stock due to the shortage delay (Thanks Hanna for checking on that and ruining my dreams jk) It's a great place and great service. Trader joe's is hard to beat. although less of a selection of a super market, it focuses on quality produce, easy to understand pricing, and carrying a diversity of selection you won't find other places. this particular location is clean, uncluttered, and easy to shop. the staff is friendly and efficient, even with COVID restrictions. i drive ( 1 hour) from Sequim to silverdale to shop here, to get a variety of things i can't other places. read more

We love shopping at this Trader Joe's location! The food selection is great. The store is well organized and always clean. But, best of all, the staff are incredible. My husband and I always comment on how helpful and engaging all of the employees are at this location. Overall, this store just checks all the boxes. This is a Trader Joe's. It offers all the goods that a TJ normally offers (fresh fare, the best frozen food selection of all grocery stores, etc). If you've never been to one, do yourself a favour and come check this perfectly fine specimen out. One thing that is noteworthy: the parking is amazing. It is so hard to find a good, vegetarian lunch on the go! I've tried the new sprouts market a few times and am always sad when 100% of their to go wraps and sandwiches are meat filled. Enter Trader Joe's. While not a great grocery store due to its random and limited selection they do have several fully vegetarian to go lunch items! I had a chickpea curry wrap that was delicious. Just the right amount of filling, a really yummy wrap and a solid sauce for under $9. read more

This is one of the biggest and most spacious TJs we have yet seen! So much room to wander between the shelves and aisles, almost making one feel as if they are missing the inevitable rush of customers. Mind you, the store was bustling on our visit, and it still felt like there was room to take a twirl, arms outstretched! Really appreciated how Trader Joe's is handling covid 19 issues. Multiple lines open to help space everyone out, sanitizing all the carts, encouraging (or at least allowing) employees to do what they want indicator feel safe. I have had to go out to the store a few times now and I really think Trader Joe's is doing a better job of minimizing transmission risk and providing a safe environment than other stores right now. We don't have Trader Joe's in our town yet so it's quite a treat to go out of town to visit one and stock up! The chocolates are fun to get and the seasonal ravioli, cheeses and frozen foods into our cooler. Frozen Kunefe? Yes! Zhoug sauce? Yes! Basque cheese? YES! Some of our favourite TJ items! There's a section that I spend too much time in as it just really catches my eye; the facial lotions, hand soap, cleaning items on one side and the coffee items on the other! Boom! The watermelon night cream and face spritz were really fun purchases. I'm sad that I missed the essential oil package but maybe it'll come back for a season. We have many of the sturdy and affordable TJ grocery bags and they keep us smiling until we can use them to fill with more Trader Joe's items! read more

I really like Trader Joe's - everything from the layout of the store to the lighting, and especially the prices. I always feel like I get a ton of items in a very small cart, because I never actually use the big carts, and at the end of my check out I feel like I've paid a very fair price. Actually, sometimes I feel like I've gotten a great deal. I stack up on lots of food, some of it which I really didn't need or want, at a great price. I do have the problem on the other end of that when I get it home I cannot consume it all in a short enough period of time to not have waste. I buy bags of produce and I check the date to make sure that it's far enough out, but I still end up throwing away bags of food because I can't get to it before it all expires. I love the sample bar that they have every day. They are usually cooking something in a skillet with a beverage sample to go along with it. Of course they want you to purchase whatever the item they have for tasting, but whether you do or don't buy the samples are usually fun to try and tasty. At the Silverdale location there is ample parking. I really like when you enter the store sometimes just on the outside they have fresh items like basil and such. And, before you even get into the store itself at the entryway there are some nice selections of things that you would not normally purchase, like blue cheese almond stuffed avocados, or some pretzels dipped in chocolate and coconut. Well maybe not those exact items, because I just made those but while writing this review, but you get the gist. They whip up some strange concoctions and slap the Trader Joe's name on it and we tend to try it and buy it. I know a lot of people don't like the fact that the produce is mostly in bags, but for a single person it seems to work pretty well. I have picked up some very unique items at Trader Joe's and have been mostly satisfied. The big issue that I have is that they don't always keep the stuff in stock that we fall in love with. read more

I would have loved to shop at Trader Joe's...folks at work praised them to the sky and were so happy one had opened in Silverdale. So I went with high expecations, only to have them dashed. While they have lots of unique food mixes and sauces, nearly ALL of the foods they sell are high in sodium...too high for the average diet. So if you don't mind eating salt-laden food that increases hypertension, etc. etc. etc., sure....shop there. I can't. read more

I just love having this Trader Joe's so conveniently located. It's by far my favorite grocery store to go to. The shelves are always filled with delicious and fresh foods. They also have a pretty impressive beer, wine and liquor collection as well. My only wish is that they sold fresh fish so I wouldn't have to go to another store to get salmon. They do have some frozen pieces available, just not my preference. Another added plus is the staff is always super friendly! I will remain a regular at this location :-) read more

I wanted to specifically highlight my experience with Zoran who assisted me in the floral/plant department today (12/28/20 between 1:30-2:30). I had a couple of questions about the foliage that was near the front entrance and he gave me very detailed and helpful information. They didn't have the type of plant I needed for my space on the display, but he did tell me that they do get those kinds of plants semi-frequently and to check back. Later, as I was checking out, he approached me with the plant that we had talked about from the back of the store. Very nice gesture, and the type of customer service you just don't receive a lot these days. Made my afternoon! Please let Zoran (I hope I am getting his name right) know that he's doing an excellent job and his attention to detail does not go unnoticed! Trader Joe's has quickly become a big part of my grocery-shopping game. I regularly discover great tasting healthy products at Trader Joe's. The store is just the right size (or could be made a tiny bit bigger to house addition unique products). Everything is clearly labeled, intuitively located and easy to find. They offer an assortment of potted & fresh cut flowers. Nice produce section also. Some of my favorite Trader Joe's signature products: Soy & Flaxseed Tortilla Chips (best tasting healthy chips I've found anywhere), their salsas, TJ's Habenero sauce, their many yummy coffees, great selection of well priced wines, TJ's Almond Milk,... I could go on but you probably get the idea Their service is top notch. Checkouts are never too long. Cashiers are remarkably friendly. I just thoroughly enjoy every shopping experience at TJ's. I lived off of the frozen foods from Trader Joe's for several months and thought I was eating pretty well! I love that so many of their offerings are organic and more authentic ethnic. And the prices are so reasonable! FYI Trader Joe's baguettes (seeded and standard) taste rather strongly of sourdough, though I didn't see it marked so. Joe K., manager at Silverdale TJ's, earned a putrid shameful fail on 3/29/24. I don't recall interacting with this man in the year that I have patronized this store regularly at 2 to 3 times a week. I have never written a poor review of this store until today, after interacting with Joe K. I arrived to the manager hut to inquire about returning three bottle of wine (unopened) from my last purchase because I want to lower sugar intake and about getting information on the dry wine selection to make a different purchase today. The instant I reached the hut, Joe K. turned from his conversation with another worker and looked at me with a distinct facial expression of annoyance and contempt. I was dumbfounded. I have never met this man, so the message he was directing to me was unwarranted. Instead of being friendly and obliging, he pointed to the wine section in a manner that said, get away from me peon. He suggested I look for what I want there. I was disturbed, but I asked if I should leave the three bottles with him while I shop, and he looked at me with a level of disdain and arrogance that my sympathetic nervous system reacted to, and he said just to bring the bottles to the cashier when I'm ready. I proceeded to the organic wine section and hoped I'd find a crew member with wine knowledge. No crew to be found, so I looked for tags that might specify dry but I could not find one. I searched in the immediate area for a crew member and, lo and behold, Joe K. was the only one organizing wine bottles around the corner. I thought I'd give it another shot. I asked him if he has wine knowledge to help me and he starkly said that all crew members do, which did not answer my question and clearly his attitude had not changed. Yet, I now wanted him to suffer a little. So I asked him to follow me to the organic section and told him that I'm looking for dry wine but I don't see tags with such a description. He sarcastically said that I will just have to search the bottles for what I want. I told him that just seconds before he said that he has wine knowledge. Clearly frustrated (this man looked like he will explode in road rage on his drive home from work) said that he would have to do the same thing I would have to do, which is to read the labels on bottles. So, I said that sounds like a good idea for him in order to assist me since, well, he is wine knowledgeable and because today my goal is to purchase dry wine. Instead of assisting, he dismissively said, "I'm sorry I can't be of more help." I told him that he seems severely irritated by me and I asked if there is a reason for it. He said that he had to crawl on the floor when stocking earlier. I simply turned my face back to the wine and he walked off. For Joe K., Zero accountability lead to Zero apology. It's so nice to shop at a store where just about everyone you meet is friendly, competent, and willing to go the extra mile. This review is for all of those employees at Trader Joe's that make shopping there such a pleasure. Specifically, to Ali who always greets me with a smile and knows to remind my kids to ask me first before grabbing a sample. To Maggie who saw me looking perplexed in front of the cold case and took the time to recommend a yummy prepacked sandwich for my husband. And, most gratefully, to the Store Manager whose name I still don't know. When you found out my husband was returning the flat of cat food that we bought because our cat had died, you gifted him a bouquet of flowers to bring home to me. I wish he could remember your name because it was such a beautiful and thoughtful gesture. I'll never forget it. Before we had a Trader Joe's locally I'd drive to Tacoma. I remember it being a better store in Tacoma. Our local branch has been a grave disappointment. They offer the most expensive produce just inside the door; and so it sells slowly and is often beginning to rot. They also have some pre-packaged lunches as you enter, that are priced through the ceiling. Those will be stale too, as no one goes there for the expensive stuff. I've been disappointed in the frozen vegetarian options -- several choices, but not the highest quality or best flavor. Long ago they offered the tastiest bean burritos from the frozen case, but what they sell now is bland and miserable. There is currently nothing In the frozen case I'm excited to buy. I do like their canned dolmas which are much cheaper than dolmas in other grocery stores around here. In the tofu and fake meat section they have fewer options than any regular grocery. And charge more. They're useless for kosher products. Their breads are mediocre at best. There are no sugar free options among the candies offered. Poor choice of freeze dried fruit and very overpriced for what little they do have. I really thought it was going to be my regular go-to store when we first got our own Joe's. But I go there only at long intervals. read more

I went here one time when I was trying to fit in with the yuppies in the city or because it's next door to the goodwill I frequent. They don't sell Mountain Dew and get a little pissy if you ask for "GMO laden" fruit. Their flaxseed tastes like flaxseed. Everything in this place is just darn good (with the exception of a couple of the gluten free options). They have something for meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans, gluten free, dairy free, egg free, clean eaters, paleo eaters, organic eaters... the list goes on and on. Friendly and helpful staff and I've never had to wait too long in line. Parking lot is a bit crowded, but I've still always found a spot! And this Trader Joe's doesn't limit the quantity of cookie butter for purchase like other Trader Joe's I've been to! Lots of cookie butter in stock at all times!!! I love Trader Joe's!!! I was so suprised when I came to visit my parents in Bremerton and saw that they built a brand new TJ's in place of the old Circuit City! Great move, Silverdale! LOL This TJ's is super clean and spacious! I like the set up they have at their registers better than the locations in Seattle. Parking here is also more convenient and less crammed! This is the best/most inexpensive place to shop for organic, gluten free food, and WINE! The wine here are deals!! :) Aside from the wine I am now mentioning for a 3rd time, they have a plethora of delicious products in each aisle!! Some of my favorites include: crunchy green beans(suprisingly sweet & yummy!!), plantain chips, salsas, and frozen meals! They also have every butter you can think of; Organic butter, peanut butter, almond butter, mango butter... they even have COOKIE BUTTER! LOL...I have yet to try that one... This Trader Joe's is always clean and organized. The staff there is amazing! One time my daughter was having a meltdown and they gave her like 20 stickers. Their produce is always on the cheaper side and always lasts longer than anywhere else in the area. And the two buck chuck merlot? Yes please. My kids love the peanut butter cups. Dried fruits and nuts, organics, gluten free items, frozen fruit, frozen deserts, (mochi) mmmm!!! , wine, cheeses and salami's, chips, the crackers I love are $1.00 a box at Safeway they charge $4.00..... I love it when they are making foods and giving samples as many times I will but items they feature. One of my FAVORITE dressings I found this way... They have a PEAR gorgonzola dressing that is to DIE for - add toasted candied walnuts or almonds and its sinful! I am notorious for forgetting my bags so bring them if you have them.
