    Fuschia Saturday Eve!!
    Joan F.

I really appreciate the variety of offerings from this store and the fact that they hire and train local youth to work here and perhaps move up in the chain. My favorite sections are produce (great choice of fresh, organic veggies), garden (Fuchsia Saturday!), and natural foods (great prices on vitamins, Avalon products). Even when they're busy, the customer service is on point and helpful. It's always clean, well-organized, and well-stocked. If and when I've had to return something, it's been an easy, pleasant experience.

    A pound of packaging!?!?!?
    Viggo B.

Frankly, Fred Meyer has the best grocery prices in Canby. Having said that, their new Lower Prices campaign is a bit of a scam. For example, broccoli at 99 cents a pound would be a decent price, but it is carefully trimmed to be mostly stalk and not florets, so you're actually paying about double that for usable food. Even worse, I bought chicken there yesterday at $1.99 a pound for boneless breasts. I bought three packages of about four pounds each. When we took the chicken out of the packages we noticed the empty packages felt very heavy....so we weighed them. They averaged a full pound of just packaging. That's ridiculous and borderline criminal. It brings the ACTUAL per pound cost to about $2.60. I'm posting a picture of one of the empty packages on our kitchen scale so you see they're really doing it. It's the modern day equivalent of the butcher with his thumb on the scale.

Broccoli stalks for 99 cents a pound!!

Pretty good store. Bakery needs some help. What happened to the fresh hot French bread? For a smaller store they do all right.

There were several sweaters that I liked but I ended up not buying them because at my age, I need natural fibers otherwise I get way too hot. It was a bummer as the light blue and orange Aztec print pullover had my name all over it! Nice selection of Aztec printed bags. They had lots of texture and came in a variety of color palettes. And they were huge! Definitely use as an overnight bag or gym bag. Handmade jewelry - lots of fringe earrings - and bracelets, necklaces and rings rounded out the accessory section. Inventory moves quickly and there are always new items so visit frequently. The owner was so warm and friendly, like shopping with your friend! Located right on Main Street, there is plenty of parking. Whenever I'm in Aurora, I'll stop in to see what's new for sure.

Chris was our sales rep and did a great job helping us find what we wanted. Or at least what I thought we wanted.... Made the purchase for $2000 and set up delivery options. A month later we get the call that it's time , the loveseats are ready. Yay!! Happy days.... Wrong. So the delivery drivers show up and go about their business removing our old sectional couch and bringing in the new loveseats. As they are putting these things together I'm noticing some things, the pieces aren't lining up properly and there are gaps and other issues that are visible and then the installers can't get the backs of the chairs to clip in securely. They are telling me that these parts aren't right and possibly defective. Dammit! So I decide not to accept delivery on these and get a phone call from Chris telling me that they wont charge me a restocking fee if I come in to get a refund. Really? A restocking fee on defective parts? WTF? So I go in and they tell me they got it all figured and and everything is good. I ask to see the units and immediately can see that they have lied right to my face about this. Grab the back of the loveseat and with very minimal effort pull the whole thing apart . I just look at him and say this is what you call all better then I look at the other loveseat right next to it and grab a hold of that one and what do you know the whole back just comes right off that one as well. By this point some other manager comes and and basically is telling me that for $900 a loveseat this is the quality you get. Now that's some bullshit! So I'm asking for a full refund which they give me but not before making me feel like this is my fault. Horrible customer service from the manager and a lack of education on how to deal with a problem like this. Needless to say I will never do business here again and would suggest everyone who sees this to look elsewhere. Poor management and even worse product. Good day all

Lots and lots of dishes, serving pieces, glassware and utensils. They have some complete utensil sets and some where they are still collecting all of the pieces. Obviously they love a good hunt! My mother had the same China; she ate her soft boiled egg every morning from an egg holder just like the one they had displayed. Memories came flooding back! I had to snap pics to send to my brother, who remembered the dishes but had no idea it was china! For me, that's why I love going to antique stores. It's not only about finding a treasure to purchase, but the memories that are awakened when you happen upon an item you didn't even think about for decades until you see it on a shelf, somehow standing out amongst the hundreds of items surrounding it. - The ornate crystal decanters with silver caps and handles? Yep, my Nana had three of them. - The coffee table where you could display needlework under the glass? My grandmother proudly displayed her talents there. - The champagne fur jacket? My mom had one just like it! - The light blue princess telephone? My first phone with a "teenage" line I shared with my brother. Yes, there was such a thing back in the day. Wish I had kept it! That shade of blue is still my favorite color. Antique stores are as much about these moments of remberence that ignite smiles as they are about purchasing something. I left without buying anything but was warmed by the memories my visit ignited.
