Why is it the fried chicken is never ready when people get off work? My husband works til 330 and 3 fridays in a about a months time, No chicken is available ( he's always told 20min wait) he get there at just about 4 oclock. I went to the Fred Meyer on Mountain Highway, East this evening, June 27, 2026 at about 5:30 PM. I was craving scallops so bad. I went back to the seafood department. I did not see Scallops so I asked the guy working there, he said yes we have them over here they were in the upper right corner. I went over to inspect the scallops. They looked slimy, they were sitting on the metal directly. There was no shaved ice underneath this item, no parchment paper, just direct contamination on the metal. I told the guy no thank you. I would've called him out right there, but there was a paying customer trying to order fish, so I was polite. You need to know if you have seafood,it needs to be on a bed of ice that is growing bacteria every second it sits there and you're trying to charge $15.99 a pound to get somebody sick. You guys need to clean up your act. I hope this goes to corporate because I ask for a manager, but I'm sure it was just an employee. I used to do this type of work,and I see how this store is starting to be getting neglected. I'm going to start watching closer and I'll call out everything I see. I went there to buy some goodies and some beer and I figure that the price the lower price on the goodies where what I was gonna pay but apparently not so you should've been five bucks with eight bucks apiece and I'm 50 years old with gray hair in a box spot And did not have my ID with me so they would not sell me beer. My husband went in Fred Meyer to cash his check. He left and realized when he counted it in the car that he was $100 short. He went in and informed customer service and they made him fill out a form and the accountant would look it over, and to return tomorrow. When he returned (today) they said the accountant was spot on and did not short my husband $100. He was robbed by this Fred Meyer! Never returning. read more

Ordered my groceries via pickup and when I got home realized the bags were so overloaded and heavy 3 had ripped open and my groceries fell on the ground...and the apples were damaged. I called customer service and they refunded my money for that and also noted my complaint. I hope it gets to the store so they stop doing this. read more

The store is further from me than Safeway or Albertsons but wanted to check it out. They were a few things on sale but the deli cost more than other grocery stores but the lady who helped me was super helpful, friendly and honest about food that had been sitting for a while and was about to be tossed. Overall the building is older, and it shows plus the bakery selection left a lot to be desired. read more

The reason I give it a three is because although the place IS abiding by covid rules and all, I still have seen customers come in without face masks on and seen the employees do nothing which is kind of alarming. We're in a pandemic people, I know you don't want to wear a mask, but just do it. You may so well "I don't care" but by wearing a mask not only do you protect yourself but those around you. Wash your hands, wear your mask and do your part people. Our healthcare workers are drowning right now. Also I go to this Fred meyers about 1-3x a week because it's 5 min from my house, and I swear some of the people there seem to not really know what they're doing?? I went in there looking for a USB drive and for the life of me no one could tell me where one was or could be. It wasn't until I found a supervisor did they finally tell me (after 15 min of looking) that they didn't have any. I was annoyed, but at least I got my answer. read more

Most of the time they have very good produce here, and good prices, friendly and helpful employees here always makes it a pleasure to shop here! I love their bread they have, always get the bread here, and yogurt. Sometimes they have good prices other times not that great, so you have to watch what you get here. Knowing its a frozen bakery style bakery, I generally wont get bakery items here, since its all done at their central bakery and shipped here- which all the major grocery stores do. The main complaint I have, is the design of the parking lot, it's weird on how its design, like you enter between Burger King and Shell you cant turn left, or where Jiffy Lube is seems to confuse a lot of people, which is why i dont give this store a 5 star review. read more

I am done with FM. I went in the most busy time of the day ( my fault). They had 2 checkers and a line for self checkout all the way down the isle. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked the checker if they were shorthanded, she said, "no, this is the new normal". They want us to check out ourselves, bring our own bags, basically do their job and wait 1/2 hour for the privilege of doing it. Instead of hiring security, everything is locked up so you get to wait for that too. The pharmacy no longer takes premera,so I have no reason to go there again. Things are getting out of hand. If you bring your own bags, they put 2 items in each bag to make sure you have to buy their bags. Even if they had security, they fire them for chasing down shoplifters. I am done with their new normal. The whole shopping experience is a joke. Unfortunately we need groceries to live and they know it and take advantage of their customers. Ordered a retirement cake for my husband to include a Bavarian cream im the middle and was disappointed to find that the cream wasn't in the middle. Some parts of the cake there was no cream, other parts, the cream was either near the top or the bottom. I paid 55 bucks for a full sheet with cream in the middle. Also, the letters on the cake were sloppy, but no one else seemed to mind. The cake wasn't nasty, just didnt have the even spread of filling as expected. Won't order from them again. read more

This is my neighborhood grocery store. They have everything you could want or need grocery wise in the store and that includes a nice selection of fresh produce and meats/seafood. The staff is courteous, but I feel like the staff who work in the back stocking are more friendly/customer savvy than the clerks. Weird. The store has the salami in the wrong place. The aisle that has all the lunch meat has pepperoni on the end cap, at the other side of the store, next to the freezer section, there is salami. THIS MAKES NO SENSE! Put the salami and pepperoni, in the same vicinity, and label them for the people who don't read/pay attention. The store is typically clean, well lit, and the deli has a good selection of salads, meats, fried foods, cheeses, etc. The bakery makes a really good garlic bread loaf, which is excellent, and reasonably priced as well. There is always ample parking, and the lot is well lit. read more

She saw me with a loaded cart with my 2 year old fussing and called me over to her checkstand, she then helped me load my groceries onto the belt! I have never had a worker do that for me before. I have been coming here since a child. I paid for my groceries. The self check out lady and her supposed manager had the audacity to be rude to us. My brother paid for all his food and they blocked his pay now order. As I heard them discussing us. I said, I had already paid to her face for my food. It was 2 separate orders. They walked around to different computers and said check their order. All she had to do was come over and ask for receipt. We are kind. The fact she assumed, disgust me. I called her back over and said excuse me. She had a attitude and said Ya. After looking over our order at a different computer and seeing we had everything to pay for on list. She unblocked us and he was able to pay in full .Please retrain both her and her supposed manager on proper customer service. read more

Always been a Safeway shopper but this store is a couple miles closer to my new house so I have been shopping here. Employees are friendly, Always willing to show you where items are instead of just telling you. Good selection of items throughout the store. Kroger store brand is great. Produce department is good. Pharmacy is wonderful. Bakery items I have had, doughnuts primarily, are terrible. Overall the store is a good basic store that meets my grocery shopping needs. read more

This is my home town grocery! All the staff are always warm, friendly and helpful. Also, with food prices so high, it is nice to have a fairly priced store. Their Club card with fuel points and especially their targeted coupon mailers, really save a lot of money. As a caregiver, I shop for 2-3 households, and the cashiers are always so patient with me as I try to keep the sales separate, use the correct coupons with the correct order, etc. The pharmacy is invaluable as well, since I also pick up a lot of prescriptions. Let's not forget, it is called the Bethel Station Fred Meyer, so the plaza also provides nearly one stop shopping, with a Shell gas station, good restaurants, Rite Aid, an Anytime Fitness, Jiffy Lube, and more. read more

First, I usually like this location because it is a lot less crowded than the stores closer to me. I will sometimes drive down from Tacoma to escape the crowds. This is a smaller store and 95% of it is a grocery. The selection is not as good as the larger stores which is to be expected. Most of the staff are pleasant and helpful. One cashier Amy, however, was not friendly at all for no reason whatsoever. The customer ahead of me seemed like a pain. Then my turn came and I said "Hi!" and she said absolutely nothing. So I stood there while she wrung up my items and when she needed the back shelf of the cart (one of the smaller carts) she just pulled the cart out from under my elbow with out warning and she said nothing. No "Excuse me," no "I didn't mean to grab the cart out from under you," nothing. We all have bad days, but I feel this was rude. read more

I believe her name was Amy one of the store managers at Fred Meyers at Bethel station location was extremely rude. I said to her, excuse me ma'am, she looked at me with this evil look and I asked if she knew when some more toilet paper would be in. She said I don't know and turned away. I have never been treated so terrible at Fred Meyers. She does not need to be in any type of management. Everyone is going through a lot with this whole Coronavirus but to be treated terrible at a store I have been going to since I was 10 years old is just ridiculous. Please make sure she is disciplined and she needs to go to a class on how to treat others with respect as I came up to her with respect. I usually go to the one down 176th/S Meridian since it looks to be a lot more organized and clean than this one. Obviously this store is older and their layout is kinda of weird. I had to walk the whole store just to find the bakery which is up front but on the opposite side I entered. Other than that, I personally LOVE Fred Meyer's! Must say that I typically love Freds for all my shopping needs from groceries to clothing. So disappointed by this location. Did not have items on our list (which is the same one I shop from bi-weekly) and when they did not have items for coupons (Ad, Manufacture ones from online as well as clipped) did not offer substitutions. The cashier did not return un-used coupons that where connected to some that were used or offer for us to tear them off. The bagging was not done properly as flea and tick medicine/bombs were put in with food items! I don't know what the policy is here and forgot to ask, but noticed when I got home that I did not get recycle bag kicker either (I always take my own). Will never go to this Fred's again. Would rather drive the extra 15 minutes to the one on Meridan in Puyallup. read more

I've shopped Fred Meyer for MANY years, but I won't be any longer. In the last month, I have noticed them slowly phasing out many brands, replacing them with their own brand--Kroger and Simple Truth. It basically forces the consumer to buy their own brand, instead of allowing options. I wouldn't mind this so much of Kroger/Simple Truth products were good quality, but they are not. For example, tonight I went to buy pre-packaged organic greens (I know...I should just buy fresh), and literally the only options were Fred Meyer brands. I bought two, opened them for dinner tonight, and both containers had slimy, rotting greens at the center, pretty much ruining it all. The Kroger cheese is dry and lacking in taste. I could continue with more examples, but I won't. The only reason for the 2 stars I did give are because the tellers are most all super awesome people! read more

My new goto place for kids' birthday cakes. The bakery is awesome. The staff work with you, and make sure that they follow your ideas (something Safeway will not do and they charge way more for their stuff). I needed a Minecraft cake, and of course it is not out yet. We were able to come up with a design that didn't infringe on copyrights. My son loved it. We ordered both cupcakes and a cataloged cake design for my daughter. They did a beautiful job on both for her. Their prices are so much better than other places. So long Safeway. This small Fred Meyers location is just right. They are mainly just a marketplace for grocery shopping unlike mAny other Freddie's. There is still very small section here dedicated to home decor, home appliances, makeup, etc. this location is mainly a marketplace for food. I shop here almost daily without fail and have for five years now. I've never once had a bad experience! From their parking lot entrances and exits to the size and parking stalls they make everything easy for the customer! They have the most impressive & freshest produce. They have both small carts and large, I've never seen a cart shortage or a cart mess in all this time! Their bathrooms are clean and public, although a tad empty and plain.. they've even fit in this small Freddie's: a florist section, book section and gift section along with the bakery, the pharmacy, the incredible and oversized nutrition section (!!), the wine & beer section, the deli, the boys running the meats & seafood section, pet isles and like I mentioned the home section with some electronics and kitchen supplies. The workers there are helpful and just friendly enough;Meaning nobody is being paid to stalk the customers while bugging them with random questions that honestly just disrupt grocery shopping- but they are all there with knowledge that surpasses any other grocery store. So instead of having an employee walk around aimlessly looking for the item you already walked around aimlessly looking for then went for help- they actually know exactly where each & every item is memorized! Employees have advanced information on most any item they sell in their store and are happy to help and very practical. Just the other day I came in hoping to swap out a box of yogurt for a different flavor, I did not bring in my receipt or bag just the box- the customer service desk instructed me to go back and swap it out- and that was that no fuss- no bullshit just practical easy and out I went! THANK YOU FREDDIES for giving us all a better option than Walmart, Albertsons, Safeway, Winco- in my book Fred Meyers and Costco are number one and number two and both so far above the rest! read more
