Very disappointing experience. I'm sixty years old and am recovering from eye surgery. I can't drive at this point so I didn't renew my driver's license. I couldn't buy a six-pack because of this situation. I have a license it has my picture and birthday on it. It is obviously me and I am obviously well past twenty-one. I did a bad, bad thing. I sold out. I can't help it --- Fred tempted me so. Um, Fred Meyer that is. I try to not shop large chains, but sometimes you just can't help but get seduced by the HUGE selection! The endless rows of stuff that you just must have! The wide aisles and shiny, shiny, SHINY linoleum! I went to Fred's to buy my nephew some toy cars. Unfortunately, Hot Wheels seems to only produce race cars nowadays (he really wanted a police car --- the kid's totally into emergency services currently). However, I did find the entire line of cars from the movie "Cars" --- even the oh so elusive Fire Truck! Woo-Hoo! AND a Dora the Explorer bathtub set for my niece. Who's the kickass Auntie now? Excellent toy department with a large variety of toys for kids big and small. Lots of board and card games for the whole family. Reasonably good DVD selection. Friendly cashiers. Lots of parking. The worst shopping experience of my life. I went shopping there last weekend and every employee that I encountered was horrible. The one that stood out the most was the manager of the seafood department Shannon. I cook an traditional Italian seafood soup on Christmas Eve. I usually have to order the seafood but when I tried to do that with Shannon she flat out told me NO she would not take orders. She even told me to go to a competitor. So I did. The competitor did not have what I was looking for BUT they called surrounding stores to see if they had it. I called another competitor and the nice man who answered the phone said they did not carry what I was looking for and googled where to find it in Spokane. To the Fred Meyer managers - I will never shop there again. I loved my Kroger store in my home state but this store was horrible. read more

Good location. Same Freddy's all my life. Over priced usually and they did not handle me having WIC checks very well. It took forever.

I have always loved this Fred Meyer store. Selections, wide range of departments. Great fun! However, in the past few months they have added 4 more self checkouts with that they have so cut back on cashiers (we should have seen it coming). Why self check out you ask? Well let me tell you, look what this provides them. Less cashiers, less salaries and less benefits, they're paying out. I was there yesterday and the line was back into the aisles and they only had 2 cashiers working and not paying attention to the backup as well as the front end manger who way bagging and could have cared less about the line. So, when you and I are made to check out ourselves (if we want to get out of there in our live time) look at all the work we are doing for them and what do they give us in return - NOTHING! Not a discount, not a redeemable coupon, not even a bagger, nothing at all. So as this trend continues just watch this plays out and how this improves their operating costs. I plan to stays at Yolks as they always have plenty of cashiers and are happy to provide the service, as well as boycott all self check outs. You have got to be kidding! read more

This place is weird and cool. Great place to shop and work. Employees get benefits at 20hrs/week which is unheard of. They do a great job of promoting from within and paying a living wage, and the managers really do care about keeping the store in tip top shape and building long term working relationships with customers and employees. The Thor store is great! The selection is unbeatable. It was my first time going to a 2-story grocery store, and I loved that it has everything I need, down to getting clothes, gardening supplies, electronics, and seasonal stuff. I'm a fan of Fred Meyer and shop when ever I can. I take advantage of the gas discounts in my RV. This review will pertain to how well an RV can maneuver here. The gas station was pretty easy to get into. However, exiting the gas station is precarious, because you are stuck navigating a bunch of one way streets that may not go the direction you need. Also, this Fred Meyer is located basically in a residential section. There are a few businesses, but the area is primarily residential, so in order to get back on the freeway, you have to navigate the one way streets, plus the narrow residential streets. Ugh. The gas station is across the street from the store. As for the store. If the store is not busy, there is room to park the RV. But, this is an extremely busy store. Intially I was not too much of a fan of Freddies but they did the remodel and brought some new products in and I have to say I enjoy the store more. One thing about Fred Meyer is that when it comes to groceries they are pretty reasonably priced they are close to Walmart to or Win-co they have far better prices and better quality meat than Wal-mart or Win-co. However, you have trade offs with any store for instance while Walmart is really reasonable on basic groceries and cleaning supplies, baby stuff, pet supplies etc..the meat is way over priced and never goes on sale and the produce is not very good. Fred meyer is similarly priced on groceries and they also have great sales on meats and better quality produce, however the other products like paper products, toys, cleaning supplies, pet supplies...etc.. are over priced compared to Walmart. Freddies also has that new frozen quick meals section right across from the butcher which has some awesome stuff which is quick and easy! One other negative about Fred Meyer is the horribly designed parking lot! OMG I can't stand that place when they are even slightly crowded it is just awful. I do not know who engineered that lot but they clearly didn't anticipate it supporting the number of customers they get. My overall review is that, Fred Meyer is a good, reasonably priced store for food and groceries! read more

Fred Meyer - Drugstores Near Me - Spokane, Washington

I transferred a few prescriptions from another pharmacy to try Fred Meyer out. They lost one of them even after we had a conversation about it and I saw the paperwork for it on the initial day I transferred them in. When I came to pick them up, they claimed that one prescription was never faxed over and that they never throw away or lose prescriptions. I verified with the other pharmacy over the phone in the parking lot that the prescription was transferred. The person that helped me was extremely argumentative and refused to acknowledge that there was a possibility the prescription could have gotten lost. I must have been lying because they don't lose prescriptions. (WELL THEY DO!) He told me at one point that he'd "love it if I could go somewhere else so HE didn't have to argue with ME." This is by far the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. read more

Click list, the drive up grocery service, is awesome. I didn't have time today grocery shop this week, so I tried it, and it was great. It was easy to do on my phone, and everything was correct when I got home. The staff who helped me were great. Plus, after I did it, they sent me some good coupons. I always thought the drive up grocery thing was weird, but it saved me money sticking to my list, and it saved me time because I could still get groceries even though I was out of town on my regular shopping day. We moved down near this Freddies a while back, and it took me some time to get used to the layout as I've shopped at the Wandermere location for many years. I love being able to pick up all my grocery, household and even pet needs all in one place. The prices are decent, the store is always clean, the produce is fresh and well presented and they carry a large variety of vegan and vegetarian products which I really appreciate. read more

Do NoT Go There! Has anyone had problems with Fred Meyer on Thor pharmacy?? This is the third time having issues with rude ppl at the Pharmacy. The last two times I tried to chalk it up as I'm sick told myself to just let it go.. But this time. My husband was treated like a pos and I will not stand for it. I DO NOT recommend...not one sole on this earth to your pharmacy!! You need to learn hospitality and just be nice to your clients. Check your messages on a timely matter and do not tell us you got the rx when you did not even check the messages. 3 phone calls later and then go over all info on the third call and then tell me it will be ready in a few mins and then... you drop the ball and get to treat a person with disrespect. A manager by the name of Jennifer Pier during the remodel decided to yell and threaten a nice employee in the aisle for not having their hair tied back then proceeding to talk to another employee who had longer hair than the one mentioned before and let them go without any mention of their hair before smiling and letting them go about their work. I always enjoy shopping here I much prefer shopping at Fred Meyers over Safeway. One thing that I always enjoy shopping for is in there organic food section. They have a lot of good foods and I especially like their organic dairy selections and yogurts. I have always found that the cashiers are willing to help check people out and answer any questions. Fred Meyer is a one stop shop grocery store and more. They have outdoor supplies, kitchen supplies and even furniture. If your looking to spend more than the average grocery store then this is the place for you. I do enjoy Fred Meyer because I can deposit my bank checks at the Chase bank located directly inside the store. The pricing is what brings this yelp rating down to a 3 star. I have found FRED MEYER to be consistantly a five staar retailer. Recentlly I needed Gorilla duct tape so I went to walmart and the large roll was $14.77 I already knew it was less at FM so I went there and it was regular price for a large roll $9.99 almost a five dollar differance ! Be careful, their customer service department will steal money from you. I went to the customer service desk to order a few items and get some cash back. I did this as a courtesy to them since the tellers don't usually have large bills and it is an inconvenience when they are busy. Regardless after they gave me my money back it was short $3 and they told me I had been charged a fee. Legally they have to tell you if you are being charged a fee before they just take it. Then they said they can't reverse it because I used a debit card. The person who was helping me just said this a new thing coming from corporate and there is nothing they can do. Great customer service. I guess the store manager is too busy playing on his phone (Every time I go to Fred Meyer's he is by Starbucks playing on his phone) to train his employees and make sure the customers don't feel cheated after shopping there. I know we are just talking about $3 but Fred Meyer/Kroger is nationwide company with 2,419 stores in 31 states and if they did this once a day at all their stores that would be $2,648,805 annually that they have scammed from unsuspecting victims. What a racket. I have contacted the State Attorney General's office and filed a formal fraud complaint. So I went in yesterday for a backpack for work.found it and bought it up stairs.I didn't see the need to bag it as its a backpack,and I was going to use it.but leaving was not an easy task.As I'm headed for door,an old lady shouts "were you goin to pay for that bag?!" So dam imbarrassing!! I told her I payed up stairs.she then says "do u have a receipt?"
