The employees are wonderful! They are friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. Their produce department is well presented and fresh! The employees in the bakery are willing to to help and answer your questions, they have a gluten free section also! It is a calm experience to shop! Reading other reviews it appears that there was some altercation last year bringing down this Yoke's overall rating. Well I've been coming to this Yoke's 2-3 times per week for the past month and I'll tell you I've had nothing but pleasant experiences. Fresh foods, clean, organized, affordable prices, helpful staff, decent variety of products in stock, ample parking, solid hours (open daily 6am-midnight), some impressive weekly and monthly deals, a self checkout station in case you gotta grab something quick. It's basically your standard grocery store, comparable to a Safeway but with slightly better prices on average. read more

I've heard some good things lately about Yokes deli's and the burgers and sandwiches they make. It was time to try it out. I'm so glad I did. I had the Turkey Club and it was absolutely loaded. I had mine hot, and the bread was crisped perfectly. Super tasty and again, they didn't skimp on ingredients. I chose the mac salad as the side and it was also a huge portion and very tasty. This will be a definite go to when in the area because these sandwiches are also very reasonably priced. The sandwich combo's are just $6.99, regular price. Wow. read more

I absolutely love this store. Clean, helpful employees, amazing deli, great produce, and a ton of gluten-free foods. The only issue is that sometimes certain baggers will be rough when bagging the foods, unorganized, and occasionally stack heavy items on fragile foods. This rating is for the Yokes Market on Foothills Blvd and not for any other Yokes store. We shop regularly at the Yokes in Liberty Lake and are very pleased with the customer service there. We were at a business near the Yokes on Foothills Blvd, we thought "gee, this is great, we can do our shopping while we're here and get two things done with one trip." Nope, not so. Like other reviewers have commented, there are no employees at Yokes Foothills to check you out and take your money. We walked into the store around 11AM, tried to order some food from the deli/grill but they were too busy to take our order (and they were really busy, the grill was full). We decided to buy some groceries and take home items and hit the road. But, there were only two check stands open plus the self-check area, there were lots of shoppers backed up in the check out area but no employees to handle the customer load. We wondered if we made a mistake and we were in a WalMart store. After waiting for a while for the line to move, we finally just took a few items to the deli (sandwich, sushi, drink) and bought them, left the store. We're surprised that an upscale store like Yokes doesn't staff their stores to take cake of customers. read more

This store has the longest checkout lines when self check isn't open. They have plenty of people working, but just one checker. I've been in lines ten long and still just one checker. Yoke's should not have a postal contract with the USPS if they are unwilling to handle the workload of a post office and are constantly get angry with customers who bring in packages to be mailed. If you don't want postal customers lining up at your guest services counter where your postal location is at, maybe you should consider separating them into two separate lines and actually have a clerk there who is trained on how to process mail like a postal clerk. read more

This Yokes has a friendly staff and nice floor plan. They do have some great produce deals when they run their fresh Friday market sales and they have a very nice meat selection at the butcher block. The prices here are reasonable and if you have time to wander through out the store, you can find some odd items on sale. Plenty of parking, clean store, and friendly staff makes this a nice place to shop. read more

I shop in this store often and have always enjoyed the experience until today. I purchased some chicken from the deli. Not only was the person behind the counter rude, she gave me food that was not edible. I ended up throwing it away. It was so dry and over cooked or had say there all day. I was perfectly happy coming back to the deli for the fresh food. She was snippy and did not listen to what I said. I wont be buying anything from that deli in the future. I may still shop there but I won't shop at the deli again. I might as well have lit a $20 bill on fire. read more

Deli is scheduled and has sign and confirmed over the phone that they close daily at 6pm. Yes when I showed up at 5:02 pm a man told me deli is closed for the day and told me I should have checked hours online....I kindly showed your employee the sign right in front of the deli counter and then he looked away and said sorry. Why have a sign then. Also I called on my way to confirm hours to avoid this and whomever I spoke with did confirm that the deli closes at 6pm daily. read more

Ordered flowers for delivery and had a great experience. I didn't have time to come in, so I just called and told them how much I wanted to spend, what the occasion was, and they took care of the rest. They even delivered them. I saw a picture of the flowers later and they looked great. This was way better than using a floral website. read more

I just completed my first curbside pick-up order with Yokes for produce. Their website states that due to the high volume of online requests your order could be delayed up to a week which I was fine with. These are the times we live in, best to roll with what comes at you. I placed my order Sunday morning and it was ready same day for pick-up! They have designated parking spots and you just call/text the number with your stall letter and order number. Jasper delivered my groceries to my car. A+ customer service and delivery. Last time shopping at Yokes. During COVID-19, the store manager wasn't even wearing a mask and the checker was wearing it UNDER her nose so not any protection at all. Nobody was wearing gloves. There was no social distancing. Most of the people in the store were not wearing masks. It was scary. We went to another store right after this experience and All employees were wearing masks and gloves. They had blue tape on the floor to show where you had to stand while you were in line and a big sign that said you could not approach the conveyor belt until the customer in front of you was done checking out. I will support that store from now on but NOT YOKES. read more

When you love your local grocery store, life is so much better. I have been coming here for years. Fresh produce, awesome meats, sales galore, really quick check out. All the things. I do have a solid love for their sushi. I mean I will request a roll on the spot and it is fresh and flavorful. I love the kombucha station with local kombucha and I love the Yokes fam. Their florals, decor, all of it - they one up other grocery stores and North Foothills is right in my wheelhouse when it comes to where I head in town. They are one of the most overpriced grocers in the Spokane area and their managers seem to think it's acceptable to assault people and forcibly remove them from the property for not wearing a mask. The states mandate says you can't harass people for not wearing one. No one is entitled to someone else's medical information. I wear mine. And that still doesn't give me some sanctimonious right to assault people because I think they're in the wrong. read more

This location needs to take a hard look at how there employees address Covid safety requirements. Wearing a mask is not more important than bullying and showing complete disrespect to customers. Any employee who harasses a customer should be investigated and addressed harshly. Appears to be a major lack in appropriate training of how to handle customers. I know times are tough and finding good employees is a challenge, but it is better to be lean in the short term rather than employing the wrong people who lack tact and skills for the job. Fix this fast or it will hurt the bottom line much more than the last few months have. read more

This Yokes is newly remodeled and is very spacious with a good sized organic area. They also have a large deli selection which you can eat there in a large room with a fireplace and tv. My favorite part of this store is the floral department though. They have an unusually large selection of flowers and plants for a grocery store. They have the latest varieties and super healthy stock. A great place to buy flowers for your table and garden. My only disappointment is that the store had a larger inventory before the remodel. read more

As far as locatin goes in relationship to other grocery stores, yokes is in a very good place. I can't think of any other grocery wishing a few minutes nearby, nice to have this option besides safeway near gonzaga. I tend to pick up redbox movies, flowers (BETTER QUALITY AND BETTER PRICE THAN SAFEWAY!!!) for the wife here, their fresh produce is not a ridiculously big section but Its quality, AND they carry green bluff honey and honey comb! "Fresh Market" is not just a logo...it is true. Good quality produce. Amazing vegetarian section ! YAY! An entire aisle is dedicated to frozen food and the other side of that aisle is the dry food. I've been a vegetarian for 40 years and they carry items I've never seen before. It's like a meatless Christmas! The aisles are clean,wide and well stocked. Their prices are a bit high, but it's worth it. Without a doubt, best bakery in town and I have the waistline to prove it. The deli is delicious. I'm limited to what I can eat, but everything I've had has been great. How's this for customer service? I wanted Clausen pickles, which are refrigerated. I asked the young man at the CS desk where they were and he pointed to the far corner at the back of the store. Groan. Too tired. A few minutes later he found me at the bakery counter (where else? I keep forgetting about this particular store because it's located between Division and Hamilton and if you don't use Foothills Drive it is easily forgetten. That fact aside, this store is good. It's nicer than the Safeway nearby, but the prices are generally higher, comparable to Rosauers. The meat dept has decent prices and the quality is above average. The produce quality is good too, selection can be small. They have one day sales that bring me in (recently a Superbowl sale). The flower department is spot on and Five star. The woman who works it is a champ. However, this review is mainly based on the deli which is 1 star, 2 on a good day. I know that the area is mainly low/fixed income customer base, but that doesn't mean that you can't make an effort. The Yokes on Argonne's Deli and Bakery is like fat kid heaven! The choices are many, everything looks delicious and fresh, and very rarely have I been disappointed with my food from there. However, the Yokes on North Foothills Drive is the ghetto redheaded stepchild crackhead cousin, obviously. The selection is poor. The food is over cooked, flavorless, expensive, and constantly disappointing. How you can mess up Mac and Cheese and make it completely flavorless when you just microwave/steamer it is beyond me. The bakery, though the food looks semi-appealing, nothing I've eaten from there has tasted a third of how it looked. Usually there is two to four people standing around behind the hot cases, none of them ever look as if they want to help you, and if you do interrupt their conversation you get the stink eye and hastily served food that usually has more on the outside of the container than in it. In my professional opinion, they need a change in management in the deli/bakery area. read more

We purchased our rib roast for our Christmas dinner from Yokes. What a treat. Advertised as aged and never frozen. And it certainly tasted like it. Tender, juicy and cut just right. It even came with a brochure that suggested how to cook it, and the wine or beer to serve with it. They offer a number of options to order, which makes it so easy.
