I scheduled a pick up today between 7 and 8 pm. I recieved text saying they were behind and my order will be ready for pick up between 8 and 9 pm. When I arrive they seemed to be closed. I called and talked with someone saying they close at 8 pm for pick up and they didn't have my order ready. I can pick it up anytime tomorrow. I don't think it's asking too much to call me and say my order won't be ready today. Looks like I'll be shopping at safeway. read more

They are, as they claim 'one stop shopping' - clothes, groceries, a Starbucks, jewelry, housewares, a WaMu branch, etc. And it manages to pull the whole thing off with a sense of *mild classiness* (akin to Target), making it preferable (in my book) to other such places like the dreaded Super-Walmart. This is both a) extremely handy, and b) a black hole for time and money - I go WAY too often and stay far too long and spend a lot of money (the prices are decent, but it all adds up!). When in the Olympia area this is my preferred FM location. The other one off Pacific Ave is an absolute nightmare, the parking lot is a little slice of hell and even checking out seems to take longer than most stores. This FM is almost always better on those counts. Staff are friendly and polite and helpful. Produce is good with a nice selection of organic produce to choose from. I have had some requests for the meat/seafood service area that they have always accommodated without hesitation. The center aisles are routinely well stocked and I really appreciate that they don't block the aisles with free-standing displays of merchandise very often. I am a fan of their multigrain rolls. For a while they were varying a lot in size (sometimes in the same bag) but they seem to have gotten that fixed. Of course the usual caveats apply - its a grocery store, if you go after 4:30 pm until 8 pm it will be messy. That happens at almost every grocery store. I also appreciate that it is adjacent to a Costco so you can run multiple errands in less time. As to how FM compares to other stores in the area - there is an Albertsons across the street that seems to think they get to charge a premium price on items you can buy across the street for much less. A 59 cent can of cat food at FM goes for 75 or higher just across the street. And honey that Albertsons store has seen better days. read more

The pioneer of one stop shopping. It is better than shopping at Safeway because it has northwest origins (even if it was bought by Kroger). Somehow it doesn't feel as evil as Safeway or Wal-Mart. Probably because it isn't 24 hours. There is something unnerving about stores open 24 hours. Only gas stations should be open 24 hours. If you need to go to somewhere other than Grocery Outlet, the Farmer's Market, the co-op, and possibly costco, then Fred Meyer should be your choice. read more

I come to Fred Meyer for only one reason, because it's close to my house. They have a huge selection of produce and wine, and their bakery is Uh-mazing! (Try the village french bread). This place is a one-stop shop which means they have everything from clothes to toothpaste. I think that their prices are on the expensive side, and their meat counter is the most pathetic one I've seen. Don't come here for your christmas roast....or any roast. Overall I can spend hours here because it's the size of a football field....maybe even bigger! I heard that they might be putting in a gas station at this location in the next year which might give it another star. read more

Awesome people, awesome prices and a great shopping atmosphere. Most cashiers are friendly and often remember me. One piece of advice - stuff your face before you go shopping, otherwise the smells of that bakery are going to cause you to cause you to load up two carts of groceries and put on ten lbs before the day is up! One-stop-shop... though I feel some things are a bit overpriced. We've been to this particular location about 4 times and it is so conveniently located by Costco and WalMart... in case they oddly enough do not have everything you possibly need or if you're the type that checks out deals and don't mind going to the different stores to save some money. Went to their pharmacy for the first time. Gave them my insurance info and my prescription, then came back 5 hours later only to be told they needed to re-bottle it in different sizes because my insurance didn't cover it, and then on top of it they made me wait another 20 minutes. They're lucky I give them 2 stars for not drooling on their own shoes. read more

Great store. Very similar to an 'organic whole foods store' but has more affordable options as well. Great wine, cheeses and bakery. I personally love the Fresh olive and salad bar. Also offer hot foods ready to eat and Sushi too. Some other departments include Jewelry, clothing, housewares. I haven't walked through the entire store, it is BIG!! Awful customer service in the jewelry shop. Be very careful about purchasing jewelry from Fred Meyers. When my ring was purchased no one mentioned we needed to have the diamonds inspected every six months in order for the warranty to be honored. I took my ring in today, and they refused to replace a stone that fell out of the ring without charging me. In addition to this, the ring has only been worn a handful of times, which speaks volumes about the quality as well. The two women working behind the counter made the whole ordeal very uncomfortable and came off very snooty, so if you're looking for even halfway decent customer service, again I advise you to go elsewhere. read more

It used to be such a good store, until Kroger bought them out. They stopped carrying a lot of products we used to buy. Now, we have to go to multiple places to get what we need. It's not "One Stop Shopping" anymore. read more

I have been shopping at the store for quite a few years. They've always met my needs 99% of the time. the one and only thing that haven't been able to get for me was Wheat grass. Their staff is very friendly,courteous and always helpful. I love the click list shopping. Putting my order in and having it to pick up Is so convenient. They always seemed to pic very good quality food. I am very particular about my vegetables and fruit. And what they choose is very high quality. It is rare for me to shop anywhere else then the Tumwater Fred Meyers. read more

I hate that they got rid of the kids' playland in the remodel. My kids loved going there, and it kept me as a loyal customer for years. I don't like that the clearance is different now either. It used to be 75% off the lowest ticketed price. Now it's not. I have had wrong orders almost every time I've used Clicklist. I've learned to bring my receipt directly to the Clicklist station because going inside is a hassle--waiting in the customer service line and then going and getting your own missing item. One thing I do like about the remodel is the larger aisles. I miss the toy section, but I can appreciate focusing more on groceries. read more

We shop at this particular Fred Meyer about 5 times a week. It's pretty much the only store I go to, I really like it. It's always very clean, the employees are nice, they have a great selection of Everything, and the prices are decent. They have great sales and the Rewards program is nice as well. I hear that they are putting in a Wal-Mart less than 1/2 a mile from Fred Meyer, which I am not too thrilled about. We will continue to shop where we have been. Fred Meyer has good quality products, nothing cheap that falls apart instantly. read more

Friendly staff, clean store, way quicker checkout than Wal-Mart! And very comparable prices. Clean bathrooms every time I've been there. The store is okay, but the deli... Horrible! You can stand there forever, and even make eye contact and they still won't wait on you. The proper thing to do would be to say "someone will be with you soon", or something to that affect to let you know you've been acknowledged.. but no. Not at this deli. The employees need to crack down on selling alcohol to minors. I was standing behind two young people who were purchasing some alcohol, one manager overrode the age restriction without looking at both licenses. They seemed to be having troubles (this was at self checkout), so a male manager came over and asked for their licenses again, and the female was a minor. I don't think the couple knew they were doing anything wrong and were very honest in admitting she was a minor, she looked young enough to be a sister. The manager was basically scolding them, voiding the alcohol after it had been approved by someone else. How confusing is that? Long story short, if you're going to enforce this law, do it right instead of leading a rodeo or harassing/embarrassing people. read more

This Fred Meyers sucks compared to other Fred Meyers in the area. This one is just close which is why I'm stuck going there. Definitely not by choice. But it is very unethically ran rude to customers and unprofessional at best. So sad. read more

We have been shopping here for six months and think that's long enough to have a good feeling for the store. 1. There's way too much attitude from the majority of employees here. Do you realize COSTCO is right next door? Special shout-out to Tina on the meat counter for consistent lack of professionalism and an unshakable RBF. 2. The pharmacy is a disorganized operation on the best of days. Often don't have supplies of common meds, and don't bother to tell you until you've wasted significant time waiting. 3. Cashiers will absolutely make sure to let you know that your need to check out is much less significant than their desire to be left alone. There are some we have learned to avoid at all costs. 4. The deli staff must be singled out for special mention for their high level of indifference to customers coupled with their high standards of incompetence. WHO IS MANAGING THESE PEOPLE? You can see the same complaints repeated all over Yelp and other rating sites. If you hate your jobs this much you need to change your place of employment. This store is badly in need of a staff housecleaning. read more

this is probably my favorite place to shop I'm Tumwater. the location is good although access can be seriously rough at high traffic times. prices range from great to just okay on the most commonly needed items. pricing aside though the main reason I go here is the customer service. they have it and Walmart does NOT have it. this is like most one-stop-shops in the respect that they have a little bit of everything but not a proper good selection of everything. read more

Now that the remodel is done and I am beginning to find things again, I just have one complaint. I shop at Fred Meyer mostly for the produce department. There is just not enough room to keep everything stocked good especially the organic section. Everything is squeezed into such a small area that you are either in someone's way or you have wait for someone before you pick things up. This is a real disappointment as I usually buy mostly fresh veggies. read more

This is just another Fred Meyer. The pluses are they have almost anything you might want and are open until 11pm. Burners and socket to repair stove, check! Alligator clips for making clip leads to test HO train layout, check! Bread to take back for the kids school lunches in the morning, Check! Stopped here on a road trip to get some deli food for lunch. This review is of the deli. The food was ok. The younger staff there has no idea about customer service though. No greeting. Just ignored me for five minutes. Then two young ladies told me they'd be right with me before going to the back and never coming back out. A young man ended up weighing some salads out for me, but then when I asked him if they had forks he told me "no". I walked around and found free forks that are provided to deli customers myself. So poor customer service is alive and thriving here. read more

I would give more stars because I love Fred Meyer...but their parking lot is HORRENDOUS. For this reason alone I prefer the Lacey Freddys. However, I live down the street from this one so I come here...terrible parking lot or not. I get it, there's nothing they can do about it now, but it was incredibly poor planning. Anyway, more importantly, the store itself is larger than it looks on the outside and you really can get all your shopping done. I think the prices are comparable to Wal-Mart's, considering EVERYTHING is much higher quality. Plus I love the rewards program. I spend enough that I always get fuel discounts AND a big coupon every couple months. You really can't beat that. I do wish instead of Stargarbage they would feature some local coffee...maybe Batdorf and Bronsons, but it's not a huge deal. I just get my coffee elsewhere before I go in to shop. Overall, Freddy's is great. Slightly more expensive than Wallyworld but far better quality and MORE, friendlier employees, but cheaper than Safeway (quality is same but far better rewards) read more

The store is greatly improved since the remodel. I really like how the produce is fresh and the stands are very clean. The natural food section has a great and varied selection. I prefer shopping at this store versus Albertsons because I can always pick up something I might need in the kitchen etc... The prices are great also. read more

Fred Meyer is where it's at ! Three of my friends and i went to this store after being rejected by Walmart and tried on random outfits and the dressing room lady was more than happy to give her opinion on these clothes meant to look bad. After that we quite literally went into the furniture section and played truth of dare. Even after singing all of let it go very loudly we still weren't even talked to by any employees. I very much appreciate this Fred Meyer and its ability to let stupid teenagers be stupid teenagers. read more
