Here's the truth: Fred is one of the best massage therapists out there! I have mid back pain from due to sitting on my desk and working long hours. I incorporate yoga and stretching to my daily life, however, I seem to have persistent back pain from sitting too long. I addressed it with Fred and he really worked out the kinks in my mid back. I'm happy I trusted my gut instinct and with the fact that Yelp does not lie. I totally see what all the hypes about and am happy to be pain free after my massage. My wife & I hadn't had a massage in over a year due to covid & decided we were tense/tight enough to finally make it happen. We called Fred and he was quick to reply. He inquired about our last covid test, which I appreciated. After scheduling he came by 3 days later and set up in our living room for two 1 hour sessions. He wore his mask and wiped everything down with disinfectant before and after. We felt safe and at ease during the entire process. The massage itself was one of the best (& most needed) massages we'd both ever had. Wife's upper back and shoulders were esp. tight, & she felt lighter and taller afterwards. I really needed a massage for both my physical body and my mental space and I decided last minute to just do it. I found this place doing a search of the area, read some reviews and decided to give it a go I have not only a history of neck problems but have a shoulder issue that is new, but am a bit weary of getting a not helpful massage. The location is perfect and easy to get to and park. The Apple map shows you a different spot but Fred guided me there easily. From the moment I arrived, Fred made me feel comfortable and welcome. He asked about my history and listened and asked about my expectations for the day and listened. The massage was everything I needed and more. I had a fall a few weeks and hurt my knee pretty bad. I have been in lots pain for few weeks. The pain raidiates up my quads and lower back as well . I am very picky about my massages and Fred is so great, he talked with me about my problem areas and was so good at understanding my body and checking in with me to make sure I was comfortable. I have him come to my house on a semi regular basis and it's so convenient! I would honestly pay way more for an at home massage but his prices are crazy reasonable! I usually can't find someone that gives a really good deep tissue but Fred is so perfect at finding the right spots and using the perfect amount of pressure. He is very professional and respectful. I was hesitant at first to have someone come to my house but now I wouldn't have it any other way! As I write this I am now wishing to book a session! I came here for the first time the other weekend and omg it was SO SO unbelievably lovely! It is in a perfect little tucked away spot conveniently in Studio City. I walked in and automatically felt relaxed. The space is beautiful, newly renovated and super clean. My masseuse and the owner greeted me immediately and showed me around the new space. I've been trying to work on getting better at meditation lately, so I decided to give their meditation class a try. The class itself was about 40 minutes in their very calming Himalayan salt room, and it was incredible. I get massages often and like to support Independent service providers as much as possible. After looking around, I chose Fred for a 2 hour in-home massage based on his great Yelp reviews and good price. I contacted him via Yelp and he responded very quickly via text to let me know his rates. We scheduled easily and he was on time, provided all his own equipment including warm oil, made the most of our limited space (!), and gave a great massage. His technique is wonderful, both therapeutic and relaxing, and he's the right mix of communicative during the first few minutes to make sure everything is comfortable, and then lets you zone out during the duration of the session and relax. He even spent part of the time working on my daughter's back and she was pleased and comfortable with him as well, which tells you a lot about his personality and professionalism (she's a shy girl, not comfortable around new people generally). Seriously I have never had a massage that good in my entire life! I've been stressed out for years and I've gotten several massages and no relief. I literally feel like I did years ago when I had no stress. He did a combination massage but mostly did a lymphatic drainage massage on me . Unlike most masseuses he actually knows what he's doing and I felt results right away I really never thought I could ever get this much relief from all the horrible physical symptoms I have been experiencing from stress. Its been seven hours and I feel amazingly calm for once and my body doesn't hurt for once I was able to just get up and go run an errand without feeling like I was dying like he is a guru honestly my body is in horrible shape from the chronic cortisol and other issues. What I should say is that Fred is terrible. That way I'm assured to have my weekly spot open. But that would be a huge lie. I work at a computer all day long. My muscles get knotted easily. Fred has been a godsend for my body. I have had a lot of masseurs and Fred is at the top of the list. He knows how deep to go, yet he always checks to make sure you are comfortable. Fred has a lot of techniques that are new to me and they have made a big difference. If you go to Fred's place, as I do, you'll find that it's clean and comfortable. Fred is welcoming and easy-going. I immediately feel at ease when I see him. He plays relaxing music and makes sure you are in a good state of mind for your massage. My only suggestion is to get there a little early as parking can be hard to find at certain times of the day.
