My friend and I went here last night (7/16/2025) to eat and engage in Drag Bingo. We had reservations which I think are needed as it appeared that all the tables were eventually occupied. This is my first time here, but the vibe is vibrant, fun and well...gay (in the BEST way)! It took a little while, but we were greeted by our server and put in our orders. My friend got the wing platter and I got a lettuce wrapped turkey burger and subbed a side salad for the fries (burgers are half-priced on Wednesdays). My turkey burger was pretty darn good, it was flavorful and the added bacon was cooked perfectly and added the perfect texture, overall it was a very solid meal. The side salad was good, nothing special, but I will say their balsamic vinaigrette was yummy. Service was okay, we did have to track down our server a couple of times and follow-up with him when he forgot to bring things to us that we requested. The queens hosting Bingo were funny and engaging and overall the experience was a good and jovial time. All in all, it is clear that this is a cool local spot and I would definitely go back. read more

I've been here twice now and it was overall a fun experience. The crowd is mostly older locals and gay men. The bartenders and Freddy are friendly. Other reviews in the past said that they cleared the tables too early but we didn't experience that the most recent time we came. Happy hour has great food and drink deals. I enjoyed their blue pina colada and my friend really liked their flashing ice cube. The drag is fine for a no cover place. The first time we went one of the queens groped me though which wasn't cool. read more

If Freddie is wondering why happy hour business has slowed down, he need look no further than the kitchen. My "Girlfriend" sandwich featured a single slice of chicken so THIN, it resembled a slice of ham. I don't own a knife capable of slicing chicken that way. The "Sesame Chicken" was no better. The menu hasn't changed in years, but the portion size sure has. Yes, the prices are reasonable, but the skimpy portions nowadays are a real disappointment, especially for those of us who remember the old days. read more

This bar caters to the LBGT+ community, but welcomes everyone. It is located in a busy restaurant/bar district. There is metered street parking available to park. The place has a decent sized dining area, a bar in the center with seating, an outdoor patio in the back, a small stage (where they do the karoke and the trivia host sits), and and small area in the front, between the front door and the door that leads to the dining area that has seating. The bar is very colorful and has a really cool vibe. The bar was packed and there were having trivia night going on. It was so packed that I ended up going out to the back patio to eat. The staff there is very friendly. I really liked them. The bar hosts karaoke every night and drag nights, other things on select nights. They have a full service bar, a few signature cocktails, burgers, sandwiches, salads and pasta. I ordered the Ryan Sammich which came with sweet potatoes fries. It took a very long time for me to get my food. It was over 30 minutes. The food was ok, nothing special. The chicken breast on the sandwich was small and it did not have much flavor. Don't get me wrong, this is a fun place. They have a lot going on and a fun, awesome staff. I probably would not come back here for just the food though. If I did come back, it would probably involve participating in one of their special events. read more

yasssss queen! my first drag show and certainly won't be my last! i had reserved my table ~1 wk in advance for the 9pm show. i wasn't expecting the $5 cover / person but it was fine. our service was great and the servers were such characters! our food was surprisingly really tasty and our drinks were strong. the show was very entertaining and interactive and they certainly took their time -- it went 9-11pm. the music all night was ~fabulous~ and the karaoke was a blast. the crowd and vibe just made you feel safe and unjudged and free to be yourself and have fun. i will definitely be coming back... and bringing more $1 bills with me when i come! read more

So disappointed. I have come to Freddie's to sing karaoke for the past two years. Today I put 4 songs down and asked for a "sequence" in, as I was one of the first people to ask for karaoke... knowing many other people would come in to sing after I wrote the songs down on a piece of paper. The manager for karaoke deleted everything I put down (all songs but the initial one) after 2 hours of me waiting to sing again, saying it's "not the Annie show" . .. negating the fact that I asked to please sequence the songs into other requests in the evening. The karaoke manager was rude and told me I could put another request in after waiting 2 hours to sing again. Underwhelmed. Washington DC can seem like a serious place but Freddie's is bright and gay. You do not need to go to Reho because Freddie's has brought it to you in nearby Arlington. There is a beach theme going on here. The bar was well staffed and service is with a smile. Plus you can order some food if you have a case of the munchies. We love this place. The food is fine. You're not going there for a gourmet meal. There is a good selection of bar food. We were all happy. However, the atmosphere is uplifting and happy. She and her fiancé live in Crystal City and have been to Freddie's several times so when they asked me to find them a relatively low key place for a joint bachelor/ette party, I knew this was it. The staff was VERY accommodating. There was ZERO fee to reserve a table for 30 people (!!) - just a $5 cover charge for the drag show. Best place for karaoke, happy hour, and food! My favorite is their perfectly spiced and crispy home style chicken tenders. Fries are oh so good! Excellent burgers and pastas! They have food specials and other events as well. Karaoke is EVERY night 8pm - 2am except for some nights where events precede it. Freddie's is a tourist spot where you have to visit it if you've never been there. See all of the Barbie dolls on the walls!! It's always a party there! Came here for both a happy hour and a brunch. It was not at all what I thought it was going to be either time. For happy hour they have prices that you cannot beat. The drinks were standard but cheap. We also got the fried pickles which were surprisingly really good. For brunch we did the buffet option and I was expecting the worst, but the food was actually really good. They had a weird mix of things but nothing was bad and it really is unlimited. The drink prices went up (and that is not unlimited or as cheap as it used to be) but it is still good. Service here was great. Overall a cool spot to go to if you are in the area. read more

Such a good, solid place to do karaoke on a stage! They have open mic night on Thursday! Anyone can sign up. They have a variety of activities pretty much every night for a good night out of drinking and singing. Their nachos with potato chips are made with real potatoes in house. Such crispy potato chips with real potato. Respectfully, the calamari in general is such a good snack but is a bit of a miss since it's not as crispy. Service is quick and staff is nice.
