I recently had the opportunity to try their Vanilla shake. Let me start out by saying I LOVE their chocolate shake. Their Vanilla shake is actually quite delicious. It comes with a heavy dose of vanilla which you can smell and taste in every sip. I have enjoyed their orange/vanilla freeze. Yumm. The people who work here so nice. I go there when I have to pass by coming home from work. Their seasoning on fries and hamburger is a little heavy handed for me, but hey, the crowds can't be wrong. I do like their hotdogs, although I wish they were grilled. All in all, by the end of the day I do enjoy coming to this Duluth Freddy's. read more

Freddy's is always good every time we go. Fun 50s style decor. Everyone we've encountered has been nice. Their burgers are one of my favorite. The chili cheese fries are really good, even though this time they were a little light on the cheese sauce. When we pulled up to the drive thru, the lights were off, so we were worried they were closed. We asked the woman on the speaker box to please turn on the menu lights, and she did! I got a patty melt with fries and a strawberry dream cake concrete, and it was all tasty for fast food! I had forgotten how thin their fries are, but the staff had been really great and offered us fry sauce, so that made them better. My husband got a California burger with fries and a chocolate shake. Got order home and even though receipt listed ketchup, mustard, relish and onion I only got a plain bun and hot dog. This makes about the 4th time there has been an issue. I've gotten home with orders that weren't even mine and the last time I went thru your drive before today no one came on speaker to take order and when I finally drove to the window it was open and I could hear people but no one ever came to take my order. We came in for a sundae at Freddys. The counter person was nice and took our order courteously. Ambiance is cool with a 50's tables and chairs and large red air vents.. I ended up going to this establishment after being inundated with constant ads on my smart phone. I didn't even know there was a Freddy's in my area. I found one and decided to make the trip. I love hamburgers and I always like to try out new burger joints. The drive was not to long and I realized I knew the area. The parking lot was adequate and the outside was neat and clean. The inside reminded me of an old time hamburger joint, where teenagers might hang out on a Friday or Saturday night after the big game. I ordered the Jalapeño Pepper Jack Double Combo with onion rings and a bottle of water. The steakburger patties were a little smaller than anticipated, but it was very tasty. The onion rings were just right and the water was, you know water. The price was reasonable, but I felt the price could have been a little less, due to the size. Overall, not a bad meal. Also, they have Chicken sandwiches, all Beef Hotdogs and Frozen Custard. Next time I am in the area, I will stop by. I will trying the All Beef Hotdog next time. read more

The customer service was nice but they got the order wrong . We had to wait an extra 15min in the drive through. We got our food and it was so salty we were unable to eat it. When I say salty I mean it was disgusting. My son was sick due to the salt. He was only ably to eat 3 bites. We sadly won't be back and I don't recommend this place. read more

I decided to try this place after passing by nearly everyday! I was starving and opted for the Freddy's original Double w/ fries. For the fries I ordered Fry sauce and a Dr. Pepper to drink. The burger is very basic. I hate to say that, but there is no distinguished taste to say, "I'm going to Freddy's". It reminds me literally of Steak N' Shake however Steak N Shake knows their brand and makes burgers $5. Lol!!! The fries I found to be too thin for my liking. And they were a tad cold when I received my order. The fry sauce was meh. Tasted like Mayo and Ketchup mixed, just processed. Now, I will say this is the best service I had in a long time. I tried Freddys for the first time today. It was really good, I got a number one with fries (they are shoestring fries so they are thin-just the way i like it) and well seasoned. The burger was simple but really hit the spot. Whenever we travel we like to eat at places we can't eat at home, and even though this is fast food, it's not something we have in New York (or the tristate area). The name is what drew me in... custard and steak burgers??? Who doesn't like that combination!? I got a single and a side of cheese curds, and let me tell you, those little buggers are addicting. I really dug them, especially with fry sauce. The burger was very good too. I enjoyed the photos of Freddy all over the store and the retro vibe. It was a cool place and the food was good. Freddy's wasn't that awful. We got our burger meal fast but the ice cream took 20 minutes!! Mind you we were in the drive thru. How does 2 burger meals come 20 minutes before ice cream!! The lady also got my order wrong but this isn't the first time the employees got it wrong. When we ask for a chocolate AND vanilla swirl, they would usually put just one of the flavors not both. tonight to get a burger with me and my girlfriend thought that this may have been a good spot to stop by. We looked up at the time of close and it said that it was 11 PM when me and my girlfriend arrived at 9:30 PM all of the lights were turned off. We went to the window to order food to see maybe the lights were just turned off. Turns out we were right we ended up ordering our meal went to the window, where this lady. Was very rude to me and my girlfriend when I explained to her that the lights were turned off in the parking lot. She stuck her head out of the window and said "are they actually off?" To me. I responded yes. I also have proof that I had ordered a regular Butterfinger shake, as well as a small Oreo shake and it's obviously due to the size comparison being exactly the same size. Freddy's Signature Turtle Sundae is very good! I'm serious. I tried it for the first time recently and was really impressed with their custard and all the toppings and syrup that came with it. Staff is friendly and helpful. The interior is spacious and bright. This location is in the new Sprout's plaza. I also like the display of their custard toppings inside. You slide across the dirty floor on your way to the register and when I went to sit down and wait for my food literally every table was dirty.
