Fred has been my dentist for years and I have great respect for his skill. Now I've experienced a new, second dentist, Diana, and she was good, too. I'm not really into the holistic aspects of the practice; if that's your thing, they're really into it. But I let them know I'm just there for great dentistry and they don't bug me about additional services. The only negative for me is that they don't accept the reduced payment schedule of my dental insurance so I pay more than I might elsewhere. Unfortunately, after saying that I didn't want to do anything right now, except for befitted for a night guard the dentist took my partial plate, drilled it. When I asked what he was doing, he said he was putting teeth in it. This completely changed my bite and hurt my jaw so he was trying to adjust it to make it stable again. On a subsequent visit continuing to try to make my mouth stable again. He said I'm gonna adjust this clasp and I said that is connected to the teeth and he said then he said no other dentist would do this clasp but I'm going to then he proceeded to break the clasp on my partial. This was a consult where I was being evaluated for a much larger project. This happened without permission to do anything, then his very mean aggressive office manager told me I was the problem. I had repeated appointments so that he could adjust the damage that he created and on the third one his office manager said no you can't see him. She said I was mad he even made this appointment because he has a big case today. I said OK I'll make another appointment she said no call up and talk to me first, she wouldn't let me speak to the dentist and wanted me to pay her upfront $4900 for two new partials. I did not pay the money and would not let her bully me again by calling her up so my mouth was unstable for a couple of months until I could get to a Prostadontist resulting in a fractured tooth. I am so sorry I ever met this man and he seemed so nice, this was all because I was evaluating whether to remove root canals. read more

I just deleted the narrative of my ordeal with this office and realized I should be talking to a lawyer. Its been nothing but pain and suffering since 2016. They only care about the money. Very rude staff. Didn't even end up seeing the dentist. Amanda the reception was the only nice one but unfortunately she has no authority in anything that goes on there. I downloaded the forms from their website before my visit. The privacy disclosure which most people don't read said to email them if you only wanted your information used for strictly emergency, surgery, office use only and to be notified when your information was used. So I emailed and requested just that and got a rude email in return acting like I was accusing them of breaking the law. I explained I was just following what the form said to do. I got there for our appointment and was met with the same rudeness. The lady accused me of having a problem with their following the laws. I explained yet again I was following what the form said. She continued on and then a whole other issue came about so I left. It was not worth the stress. After my experience I also did more research on him and the office. Found a lot of bad reviews involving price gouging, not actually being holistic (none of his credentials are holistic accredited), staff not being friendly etc. read more

Dr . Dreher and his faculty and staff are all amazing! I've been a patient of his for over 12 years! He's the best dentist I've ever dealt with . He's the only dentist in the area that was willing to take on my complexed medical needs ) I will always be a patient of his until the day that he retires. I took my daughter here and was extremely dissatisfied! I paid $400 for a cleaning and bitewing x-rays...of course there was a bogus "plaque test" that I never got to see the results of that cost me $85 bucks. So the worst part was when they told me that the treatment plan for filling 9 cavities was to cost me $4000! I couldn't believe it!!! They purpetrate a fraud at Dreher's office that they are the only ones that practice "Holistic" Dentistry... it's BS! I took my daughter to SITWELL Dental in Malta. They also use nontoxic materials. Sitwell took what Blue Cross was paying per cavity.. didn't cost me a cent! Sitwell also took free x-rays as Dreher's Office wouldn't part with the X-rays that I brought them or the one's that I paid them to take. They purposely kept my x-rays after I told them that I wasn't happy. This is the kind of behavior you can expect from Dreher's office. Honestly, don't waste your time or money there... unless you like paying 10 times as much for unnecessary and unproven treatments like "ozone therapy"...wtf? Ha! read more

Dr. Dreher is a holistic dentist. I know I am in good hands when I come here. The staff is very friendly and they make everyone feel comfortable when they come in for a cleaning or other procedures. I have been a patient of Fred Dreher for many years and was recently out of state for 2 years to deal with a family crisis. During that time I maintained my normal bi annual cleaning schedule. Upon returning to NY I set my 6 month cleaning once again with Fred Dreher. At the time I set my appt. the receptionist informed me that I MUST HAVE XRAYS DONE. I informed her that my out of state dentist would provide my last x-rays which were about 7 months old. The appt. was sent for my check up and cleaning. A week and a half before my appt. I received a call and was informed that the dentist and hygienist had a "meeting" and that if I refused to have x-rays done I would have to find another dentist. I explained AGAIN the my last xrays were only 7 months old. The ludicrous answer was if that were older than 6 months old their "policy" is that new xrays must be taken. According to the ADA NO DENTIST has the right to demand a patient have xrays PLUS I had recent x-rays to provide This office is based on generating revenue for unnecessary procedures The practice is nothing but fluff from their sedation dentistry (haven't dentists ALWAYS been able to give gas or injections to help with anxiety and pain?? IV sedation is a whole different thing) to their cosmic, long winded unnecessary voice messaging phone system and their "ozone" therapy. Wondering what exactly "Holistic Dentistry" is??? The definition of holistic is characterized by the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the physical symptoms of a disease. This is not related to caring for teeth. It's just typical of this office....more psycho babble that people gobble up without even having any clue what it means. Complete childish BS!!! Love the 45 seconds the dentist actually spends with you during a check up. The employees are very cool and seem to enjoy there jobs. Dr Dreher is quite methodical in his work. Having witnessed a mercury filling removal and gotten a tour of the office's inner workings, I was impressed with the high tech systems in place intended for precise accuracy and maximum comfort during procedures. Dr Dreher is the nicest man, most of the staff is also. Dental work is sub par and getting info from the Dr about what is going on in your own mouth is like pulling teeth. The dental assistant frequently makes suggestions about what the Dr should do. THAT is scary. The discount package is not understandable by someone with 2 college degrees, so you don't really know what you're paying but it is super expensive either way. Holistic dentistry is a great idea, however this office is not well run.... I had 4 appointments cancelled and rescheduled in less than a year, never had this happen in my 68 years on the planet by any health practitioner. Not ethical. Sneaky billing tactics and unwilling to discuss in person. The office manager is very confrontational if you ask about billing. I fortunately was able to find another holistic dentist who charges less than half of what this office charges for services and doesn't "add on" a bunch of unsuspecting charges. Liars, pushy-sales and asked me if I "had a will to live". I live as holistic as possible and have many sensitivities/allergies. This dentist switched 2 years ago to being holistic although it doesn't say that on here. I believe in whole body health and teeth but all they were the entire time I was there was sales, sales, sales. I paid over $500 for a new customer rate without insurance for xrays and 3 teeth cleaned. I hadn't been to a dentist in 4 years and they have very little to do because I take care of my teeth but I did have an infection underneath one tooth and had to get it pulled. First they said it was urgent but then scheduled me 3 weeks out to have it pulled for $400! When I expressed that I thought it was urgent, they moved it to a week out instead. It felt like they were so busy trying to schedule around their massage and sauna they forgot I had an infection going on. Then as I was leaving the staff lied and told me that it is a law that I have to send in the tooth for testing and pay out-of-pocket for a biopsy on my tooth once it's pulled in NYS because they thought it could have a cyst, this is NOT true, we called the ADA and a few other dentists and multiple orthodontist after this visit to confirm. They argued with me until I was in tears...I said I did not want it sent in for testing or have to pay thousands for the testing... then asked me "Do you not have a will to live?" You've got to be kidding me! You have NO right to ask this question of your patients; this is a dentist office not a psychiatrist! The manager lady pulled me into her office (which was fragranced and gave me a bad reaction for days after) and tried to tell me I was "broken" in life like she was. She asked me everything from about my marriage to my religion. I told her respectively and repetitively that I had to leave because I was having a reaction to her office and she wouldn't let me leave, only continued to tell me I was "broken". It was the most horrible experience I've ever had at a dental office in my life. Needless to say I went to a better local dentist with less drama, he pulled the tooth with no issues, the infection is gone and I feel great! I do not recommend this dentist at all. read more

I recently had extensive dental work done at Dr Dreher's office. I researched other dentists in the area before deciding to have his practice handle my needs. I got exceptional help from the office manager, Lori Ann. There were also two dental assistants who did a great job during my visits, Kendra and Crystal. Dr Dreher did an excellent job with my extractions. I never felt a thing, and I did not use sedation! All of the staff that I came into contact with were very professional and friendly. read more
