I came here when I realized Dr. Johnson was back in the area but he sold the practice soon after I…read morefound him again. He had completed all my dental work in the early-mid-2000s when I desperately needed it. I did not get any dental care as a child and was never taught how to properly care for my teeth so I've had a lot of dental work, root canals, crowns, a bridge, orthodontics, etc. I decided to stay and meet the new dentist and I could not be happier. Dr. Juracka is amazing; he is extremely gentle, he's very kind and I'm happy to have him as my dentist. His work is beautiful and he completes the work painlessly. My bridge needs replacing after about twenty years. I am a bit scared of having it removed but I have every faith in this dentist and his work. Kym and Kim are both wonderful! The cleanings I get here are quick and painless. I have gotten my oral hygiene habits down pat; my gums are healthy and I do not need scraping when I get my teeth cleaned. Not scared to get a cleaning anymore. Diana at the front office is also wonderful. She's friendly, remembers your name and asks about things in your life. She helps make you comfortable from the moment you walk into the office. I highly recommend this practice. Especially if you're scared of the dentist, this is the practice for you. They are truly warm, caring and kind. They will do everything they can to ensure your comfort. The dental work you receive here is absolutely world class, top notch perfection.

This review goes back to an appointment my son had over the summer. I was hoping it would have been…read moreresolved by now, however, apparently they don't take customer service seriously. My ex-wife brought my son in to have two cavities filled, when they were all done, they told her they put the white fillings in (back teeth, can't be seen), without consulting her first. Anyone that knows dental insurance, knows these are typically not covered, but they said don't worry, they will be. when questioned, she was told that's just how we do things?!?! Well, needless to say, they are not covered, we now have a much larger bill then the silver fillings would've been, and, because this has gone on for so long without a resolution, they have sent it to collections! Here's a thought...How about asking first before you spend other peoples money with no regard to their financial status? and how about just admitting you were wrong for not getting permission FIRST before doing what you want to do? what a concept. Horrible customer service!! He did have another appointment for a cleaning next week, I already cancelled that, I'll find another more patient oriented dentist for him. P.S.... they really didn't seem to care that we were leaving the practice, that's both my sons and my ex-wife. If I didn't have to give them one star, I would not do that either.

Without any…read morewarning or numbing, she began drilling into my teeth during what was supposed to be a routine cleaning. When I stopped her to ask what she was doing and told her I was in pain, she stated she "needed to do a deep cleaning of the old fillings" which had never been discussed beforehand. During another visit while I was 7 months pregnant, I declined X-rays due to being pregnant. Both the dentist and hygienist responded in a hostile and unprofessional manner, raising their voices and questioning my decision, stating they "couldn't even do a cleaning without X-rays because it's like going in blind." I was ultimately pressured into signing a waiver. At my current dental office, I was informed that deferring routine X-rays during pregnancy (unless there is a specific concern) is standard practice. I was also fitted for a mouth guard for TMJ at this office. The guard I received was poorly made, missing contact with approximately a quarter of my back teeth. It was sharp and uncomfortable. When I raised concerns, I was told this was intentional because "those teeth must not touch," without any further explanation or adjustment. I later presented with severe molar pain and lingering sensitivity to cold. Despite significant pain (requiring around the clock ibuprofen and acetaminophen and preventing me from eating) the dentist took a single X-ray, did not perform a thorough assessment and dismissed my symptoms, advising only to use Sensodyne toothpaste. I sought a second opinion from an endodontist, who performed appropriate diagnostic testing (including cold testing and percussion) and diagnosed an obvious need for a root canal. After completing the root canal, I was instructed to return to this office for a crown placement. Despite my repeated communication that my insurance (Medicaid) would not cover a crown and my willingness to pay out of pocket, the office delayed treatment for approximately two months while repeatedly attempting prior authorization. During this time, I emphasized that timely crown placement (ideally within a couple of weeks) is important to prevent fracture. When I finally received the crown procedure, I was given no local anesthesia. When I questioned this, the dentist responded dismissively, stating that numbing was unnecessary after a root canal. The procedure was extremely painful. The temporary crown placed was bulky and uncomfortable, and I was told no adjustments could be made. The permanent crown was not placed until roughly two months after the root canal, and the tooth ultimately fractured and had to be extracted. Since switching to a new dentist, I required another crown following a root canal. This provider used appropriate local anesthesia and confirmed that numbing during post root canal crown preparation is standard of care. He expressed concern upon hearing about my prior experience. Additionally, I recently received a bill for a procedure completed years ago that I had already paid in full and have documentation for. When I called to dispute the charge, I was told it represented an insurance balance; however, I had not used insurance for that procedure. Overall, I found the dentist to be unprofessional, dismissive, and at times hostile toward both patients and staff. Based on my experiences, I would recommend staying far away from this office. I am not sure how the dental board has not revoked her license.
