Highly experienced and professional! Great care by him and the staff! I chipped my tooth and the office worked me in that day.

Pray was highly recommended to me by my former dentist, with whom I had been very comfortable and trusted.

I'm not really into the holistic aspects of the practice; if that's your thing, they're really into it. But I let them know I'm just there for great dentistry and they don't bug me about additional services. The only negative for me is that they don't accept the reduced payment schedule of my dental insurance so I pay more than I might elsewhere. However, I stick with this practice because they've 'treated' me very well.

The doctor himself is personable and I have no issue with him personally, but I was at the office for FOUR HOURS. This seems to be the type of practice where multiple patients are scheduled at once and the doctor rotates between them, so be prepared to wait. Even when everything was finished, the hygienist told me, "Hang tight, I'm just going to make sure you're all set at the front desk." Another 10 minutes went by, so I finally walked myself out front. No one was there. I rang the bell and eventually someone came out and said -- I genuinely cannot make this up -- "Oh sorry, we were balancing our chakras in the back, hehe." WHAT IS HAPPENING Anyway, I ended up switching to another dentist. At a later appointment, my new dentist noticed what he thought could be a cavity on the same tooth that had the onlay done here. He told me that if it were his work/tooth, he would fix it at no charge. So I called Dreher, explained the situation and sent over the X-ray from my new dentist. They were happy to take a look. The doctor looked at the tooth for maybe 20 seconds, said he thought it was a crack and told me, "Yeah, we'll take care of it for you." I went to the front desk afterward and was charged $170 for the consultation. Okay. Paid it. I then scheduled the appointment to repair the onlay. A few weeks beforehand, I specifically called to confirm that the repair would be at no charge. They confirmed it would be. On the DAY of the appointment, I confirmed AGAIN at the front desk what I was having done and that there would be no charge. Again, confirmed. Fast forward another 2.5 hours in the office, and as I'm finally leaving I'm told, "It's just going to be $55 for the ozone and X-ray." The $55 itself is not the issue. It's the principle. If there are additional charges associated with a "no-charge" repair, just tell me that upfront. All someone had to say -- during either of the TWO times I specifically asked about the cost -- was, "The repair itself is free, but there will be a charge for the X-ray and ozone." That would have been completely fine. Instead, I confirmed twice that I would not be charged, only to be presented with another charge after the work was already completed. Between the extremely long appointments, the constant waiting, and the lack of transparency around charges, the whole experience just feels off to me. I really wanted to like this practice because I appreciate the holistic approach, but I won't be returning. Avoid.

He had completed all my dental work in the early-mid-2000s when I desperately needed it. I did not get any dental care as a child and was never taught how to properly care for my teeth so I've had a lot of dental work, root canals, crowns, a bridge, orthodontics, etc. I decided to stay and meet the new dentist and I could not be happier. Dr. Juracka is amazing; he is extremely gentle, he's very kind and I'm happy to have him as my dentist. His work is beautiful and he completes the work painlessly. My bridge needs replacing after about twenty years. I am a bit scared of having it removed but I have every faith in this dentist and his work. Kym and Kim are both wonderful! The cleanings I get here are quick and painless. I have gotten my oral hygiene habits down pat; my gums are healthy and I do not need scraping when I get my teeth cleaned. Not scared to get a cleaning anymore. Diana at the front office is also wonderful. She's friendly, remembers your name and asks about things in your life. She helps make you comfortable from the moment you walk into the office. I highly recommend this practice. Especially if you're scared of the dentist, this is the practice for you. They are truly warm, caring and kind. They will do everything they can to ensure your comfort. The dental work you receive here is absolutely world class, top notch perfection.

I read through all of the reviews and was very surprised at the many which were listed as 'not…read morerecommended' as they were excellent! So let me share my personal experience with you. I was referred to Dr. MaiAn Vu by a friend who, like me, is a chicken when it comes to going to the dentist. She said, "you will love her", and my friend was right. Although I live in the Saratoga Springs area, I had an emergency and needed to go to the Chauvin Family Dentistry's Clifton Park office because they were open that day. That's where I met an "Angel", Ellen, who is (or was the last time I was there) the receptionist in their Clifton Park office. This was during a very bad time in my life when I was going through some serious financial struggles (my husband - now ex - disappeared one day and left me with a stack of overdue, unpaid bills and no money). Ellen was compassionate and understanding. She worked it out so that I could pay the bill off a bit each month without shame. The overall care that I received was outstanding. I wish that I could have continued to go to the Clifton Park office but their practice was not on my medical plan's approved list. Unfortunately, paying out of pocket for routine cleaning and x-rays was not an option. Even though I had been going to a dentist closer to home (and on my program) for periodic check-ups and cleanings, when I needed a crown I went to Dr. Vu and to Ellen's office. I paid out of pocket because crowns were not covered in my dental plan (they just want to pull your teeth!). Because they are THAT GOOD! I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Vu and Ellen. Unfortunately, once again, their practice is not on my fiance's dental plan's approved list, which is really a bummer.
