Let's start with the fact that they've changed Dentists more times than I can remember and hygienists are the same. They'll always try to tell you that you need 5 or more fillings and yet when I've gotten checked elsewhere they all tell me they were just trying to make money off me. This brings me to my next issue. I made an appointment far in advance. They called a few times to confirm it but I was sick and dealing with other medical issues at the time. So, I get a text the day BEFORE my appointment saying my appointment has been canceled because they couldn't confirm it. I thought ok well that's fine. Then they send me a lovely bill for a missed appointment fee. When they call back, Mckenzie, starts the conversation by saying I violated the financial policy by not calling, it is what it is, we'll send it to collections if we have to etc. I told her, listen, I have never missed an appointment you can check my history, and you all canceled the day before I have the text message to prove it so why would I have shown up? Her disrespectful, catty response? "Well you could have called, you have a responsibility too." Which i replied, "yea my responsibility was staying alive because I was sick. I didn't prioritize a dental cleaning appointment but im telling you that's what happened. You assume some of us are just lazy or careless and that's poor customer service but that wasn't the case here." She held on to her anger and disgustingly cold approach and said she'd send the balance to collections which I said, go right ahead. It will go no where and cost them more in the long run because not only is there a fee associated with sending it there, they have lost a customer and everyone affiliated with me because I'll make sure everyone I care about knows to stay far away from this "practice". My reach in Frederick and neighboring counties goes wide, and I'll make sure people dont get scammed by this atrocious place or its people. If you want: 1. Show up on time for appts but get called back 30-1hr past your appt time. Go here. 2. Unprofessional, rude, catty, young, inexperienced staff taking care of you, go here. 3. I had several old silver fillings that I wanted replaced due to cosmetic reasons, a build up from a route canal that had no pain and a tooth that was slightly chipped . Dr. Dinh refused to replace the fillings until I had agreed to let him crown both teeth with no pain. I should have ran. I finally agreed to let him crown the two teeth ( one was a molar). After he finished, I had to return to him approximately 7 times complaining that food was getting trapped in between the molar and it had became very painful. Instead of replacing the crown he continued to give me the run - around. Mind you, I had been going to him every 6 month to have my teeth cleaned , examined and x-rayed. All of a sudden he said i had bone loss where he put the crown. I ask, "how could this be"? As a result of his negligence I have severe bone loss where he put the crown and now the tooth has to be extracted. The tooth in front of the molar has constantly hurt every time I bite down on it. They're professional, caring, gentle, and everything else you could hope for from a dentist. The atmosphere is almost relaxing. Hard to believe, but it's true. They will also work with you on your bill, and not try to maximize what you pay for a procedure. It's no wonder that this practice has a waiting list of people who want to use it.

Also I have sleep apnea which makes it hard to wear a night guard since I have a mask that covers both mouth and nose. They mentioned there was a mouth guard that would help with sleep apnea/snoring as well but they said that the insurance usually does not cover it. Last time I visited, I had a new insurance company that covered medical and dental insurance. I asked if they could ask for an estimate to see if they would cover the sleep apnea mouth guard. (Out of all the times I visited they always showed me the same mouth guard device that had two pieces and was connected my a piece of plastic/metal that would push your jaw forward to help with snoring) After they check with the insurance they said that the insurance would partially cover the mouth guard. When I was on the visit they scanned both my top and bottom teeth. I thought that they understood that due to the sleep apnea I would not be able to use a regular mouth guard since it makes it hard to breathe with a full mask on. When I got there to pick up my mouth guard they showed me a piece that THEY HAD NEVER SHOWN ME BEFORE. The piece was only for the top part of the teeth. I asked why I was getting this and they said that they told me that this is what I agreed on. Which is not true. I was never shown this piece. If they would have shown me this. I would have not gotten it. They knew that a regular mouth guard will be hard to use with a CPAP machine. They said to try and see if it would work. I did. And just like I knew it would happen it doesn't work. I did see that the claim the submitted to the insurance was for 600 and my co pay was 146. Which I paid. For a one piece mouth guard that I cant use. And I cannot return. It's been very frustrating and disappointing to be treated like this. They knew my condition and I was not shown the second "mouth guard" only the sleep apnea one. They tried to call me and offered to put the $146 towards the sleep apnea mouth guard but the price for it would be $700. I would not recommend this place. Do not get the mouth guard even though the offer it often. Now I have a $146 device that I cannot return and I cannot use.

my husband went for his regular cleaning service and check-up with Dr. Mary Askary. During a…read moreroutine cleaning visit, Dr. Askary found an old and broken filling on his # 30 teeth. To resolve his broken filling, Dr. Askary's put a crown on that tooth. My husband didn't have pain or concern about that tooth prior to the crown installation, and he could eat just fine without any issues. However, everything changed after the crown was put-- and it's very bad. We trusted Dr Askary that that treatment was the best for him. Wrong decision. Follow up visit, Dr. Askary, he said that my husband has an infection. Antibiotic were prescribed, finished and no change in pain. We went to root canal specialist, and He said that my husband didn't have infection on his tooth which contradicts Dr Askary diagnostic. Root canal was done. Sensitivity to cold and hot gone but the pain still on. The pain never went away. My husband has been suffering since day 1 (9/15/2025) until now for a pain, to the point that is affecting his regular lifestyle. After consulting with Dr. Askary further, Dr. Askary seemed like he did not want to examine the issue further, stating that he did a good job and nothing else could be done. I contacted Dr. Askary on 1/5/2025 to hopefully resolve the issue further, but he was very rude on the phone, exclaimed that he did not make any mistakes, and did not seem interested in addressing and finding a solution to my husband's insufferable pain. The conversation became so unpleasant that He hung up the phone on me. This is neither professional nor remotely considerate. We contact a specialist, this doctor found that my husband's #30 tooth was broken to the root, for which the solution was a tooth extraction. Dr. Askary's lack of cooperation, incompetence, and negligence costed me and my family more than $1000 in extra out-of-pocket expenses. PLEASE BE AWAY FROM THAT OFFICE.

The only good thing about it is the nice office. I was a client for years and had only missed one appointment, for which I paid a hefty $200-something fee. I had a work emergency and when I called to cancel the day of the appt (life happens), they transferred me to the office manager to rudely tell me that they couldn't have me as a client anymore. Claimed I had too many missed appointments, which was not true. I asked for her to tell me the days I had missed and she condescendingly told me it was irrelevant because I was no longer a client. Horrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else, there are better offices out there that have kind and compassionate staff, better availability and prices and offer true care for their patients.
