Sam's Pizza Palace is located on the Wildwood boardwalk. It is the best pizza place in our opinion…read moreand every time we visit, we have to stop in and eat here! The dining room can get quite busy at times so just be prepared to wait sometimes, but it is totally worth the wait! The service is very good, all of the waitresses are very professional and they make sure to check in with you often, and the pizza comes out very fast! You are also allowed to bring in Curley's Fries into the restaurant to enjoy with your pizza! There is a counter located on the boardwalk that you can order at if you did not wait to eat in the dining room. We ordered slices this time when we went. We got the pepperoni and the cheese. Both of the slices tasted so delicious! We love the crispy crust on the bottom and it is not soggy at all! The portions of cheese, sauce, and pepperoni were perfect and the flavors blended so well together! We also got fountain sodas, but just know that they do not offer free refills! When you go, make sure you bring cash, since this restaurant is a cash only business. They do have an ATM if you forget, but there is a fee if you get cash out! Overall, if you are looking for the best pizza on the Wildwood Boardwalk, go check out Sam's! They offer very fast service and if you make it a beach day, the pizza will definitely hit after a long day on the beach!

Tasty pizza and an awesome salad make for an early bird special that is affordable and palatable…read more Nice vibe and decor inside and seating available outside. Wood fire oven for the pizza made for a great thin crust. Pizza toppings were plentiful and fresh. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Wheelchair accessible entrance and restrooms with disabled parking off street near the entrance.

However, it was not much better inside. It was quite warm. They started us with some bread and garlic infused oil. The bread was soft and the oil was very good and flavorful. We ordered the 'Bruschetta' which was VERY definitely my highlight. I wish it had more cheese on it, but the tomatoes were super fresh and the balsamic was delicious. For our entrees, my husband got the 'Diavolo' pizza which was homemade tomato sauce, hot soppressata, homemade mozzarella, chopped garlic, oregano & parmesan cheese. He loved it. He said the bread was soft and it was super cheesy. I did not try it, nor did I order pizza because I just had some a few days ago. I ordered the 'Three Mushroom Pasta' which was shiitaki, cremini & portobello mushrooms sautéed with garlic butter & marsala wine sauce topped with parmesan cheese served over pappardelle pasta. The mushrooms were delicious. However, the pasta itself was rather bland. I will say the portion was BIG and I definitely had left overs. The staff was quick and friendly. I probably would not come back again but it was nice to try, and I'm sure the pizza was better than boardwalk pizza. I would give this a 3.5, but since I can't do halfs.. 3 it is.

For today's order, I opted for the pizza of the month special and it certainly did not disappoint and was made with Pepperoni whipped ricotta basil and mikes hot honey. Congrats to the owners on bringing the same consistency to the menu we know and love at the new location. We will obviously continue to support both the wildwood and Rio grande locations!

Never again! I…read moreshould have been tipped off to what fortune awaited us when there was not one other customer in the place at twelve noon, on a Saturday, in the summer. Ordered a dozen garlic Parmesan wings, two personal "pizzas", one regular & the other white. Let's start with the wings. Absolutely no flavor, which will be a recurring theme. All they did was sprinkle Parmesan cheese on the wings. To be fair, they were crispy, but again, the breading tasted like cooking oil. Drowning the wing in ranch dressing was the only way to make it palatable. Twenty five minutes later the "pizzas" arrived. The white pie was barely edible. Literally just burnt mozzarella cheese on a thin, hard, favor-less crust. Maybe the garlic & spice delivery truck didn't come this week? Their regular pie definitely was an improvement over the white, but nothing to write home about. No joke, you can make a better tasting pizza at home using only three items from Costco...stone flat bread, mozzarella cheese, & Mama Rao's sauce. I will acknowledge that the place was clean & the young lady working the counter was attentive. They also do have free refills on fountain drinks, so there's that. Overall, the fact that this place is a franchise boggles my mind. Like, how to did someone get hoodwinked into thinking this was a wise long term investment opportunity? I wish this place luck, but let's be honest, it won't be here the next time I am in Wildwood.
