I came here with a family member who comes here often. We sat in the dining room but ordered at the counter first. A medium plain pizza and sodas. Service was over the top helpful and friendly. I love pizza and I feel like I haven't had an amazing piece in a while until today. The sauce was sweet. The ratio of sauce, cheese and crust was perfect. Definitely floppy but I love that! Thinner crust that had a good flavor. I'm surprised that the reviews aren't better. I love finding a place where they really care about their customers. Especially new customers. read more

I'm surprised this place doesn't have better reviews because the pizza is delicious! The crust is thin but flavorful and there is a good selection of toppings. I really really liked the meatball pizza; the meatballs are thinly sliced and are so delicious. The least successful was the sausage; it's like small crumbles of sausage (almost unrecognizable) and sprinkled with an unpleasant seasoning. read more

Very tasty place to order from for lunch on the beach. My friends and I ordered from here and had it delivered to the beach. I ordered the grilled marinated chicken salad and I would definitely order that again. My friends also enjoyed their Buffalo chicken steak and wrap! Just okay. Sometimes meh, sometimes good. Never great. Service is lacking. Owners and workers aren't very nice. Regularly go in and they have tons of family members inside being loud and kids running around. Not following any Covid protocols (if that's important to you right now) including staff not wearing masks, gloves, and not requiring any customers to wear masks. I'll admit my food has never been downright awful... but you can get bigger, better tasting, cheaper cheesesteaks at other places on the island. The employees are sooo incredibly rude...we have patronized them for years because they have good calzones and turnovers...but they are the rudest people and NEVER have your food done when they quote you a time. Instead you stand there in the hottest restaurant in Wildwood endlessly waiting and asking yourself "why didn't I learn the last time!" Finally your food is ready and inevitably they got something wrong and instead of apologizing, the cook(the son) berates you as you try to leave because hes pissed his mother got the order wrong, his wife tries to tell you hes a good man just has anger issues....the mother tries to make up for his temper and apologize but it's too late. Yeah...so don't patronize that place unless you want to be part of a circus with no air conditioning and a loose Cannon as a chef! Can't help but laugh now that we made it out alive! read more

I live in North Wildwood all year long and I called Dolce because this is the place I used all winter. This is the 3rd time having an under done pizza, I ordered a Margherita pizza and a regular one. He told me that all his pizza is done correctly and told me to ask for well done. He told me he was the manager and he did not suggest a % off to the next order. I don't want anything but to tell me his pizza is done when it's not is a problem. I will look for another pizza shop, Mack's is now open so it's not a problem. He lost a good customer. read more

Dear Dolce Italia This is our 30th year coming down to Wildwood & you have been a part of my family tradition for the past several years. We tell everyone about you! We have enjoyed your place & food mainly because We fell in love with your bruschetta pizza you always made for us with NO CHEESE even though it left your menu long ago. It accommodated food allergies for some of our family members which was appreciated. This year we opted to stay in and order out our usual bruschetta pizza with NO CHEESE (we do stress it when ordering!) among plenty of other items from your menu. However this time you made it with cheese We did call & you apologized we asked for it to be remade without cheese & we did offer to return the uneaten pizza. We never heard from you again we are still waiting for our delivery. So with our broken hearts we say goodbye we will miss you. Not sure what happened, but this place dropped off a cliff. Food is mediocre and stale and the service managed to be worse. Someone needs to wake the owners up from their fairytale because they seem to think this is an acceptable way to run a business. Look at some of the pictures in the reviews for this place and that will say enough. Please do yourself a favor avoid this place like the plague. This was disappointing, we asked for green peppers and onion pizza. I found a white hair in the pizza pie and green peppers smell old and stale. When I called them, the chef spoke with me in a dictating manner that we use green peppers everyday and they are fresh. He refused to acknowledge the complaint. so disappointing....we ordered a large pie, a spinach calzone and an order of fries for delivery. They came in 45 minutes and the bill was $30 plus tip. Everything was COLD....not room temp, but cold. After moving to central pa from the Philly suburbs, good pizza is a treat to us. GREAT pizza is a godsend. The pizza here is deserving of 5 stars. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, the staff here leaves something to be desired. The guy working wasn't personable, but I would hesitate to call him rude. I just couldn't understand the presence of his wife/girlfriend and the newborn sitting behind the counter. The baby was well behaved. The mother though was engaged in a conversation on her cell phone that left me feeling like I was in an episode of a cartoonish sitcom like Family Guy with a stereotypical Italian restaurant scene. She screamed into the phone in Italian waving her hands the whole time like a caricature. It was bad enough that my wife and I repeatedly had to ask each other "What?" while trying to hold a conversation in our "inside voices." Great pizza. The sauce was really sweet and the cheese isn't really buffalo mozzarella. And no basil. The plain pizza I ordered was extremely salty( not edible). It may look like your average neighborhood pizza joint, but last night after a few cocktails I ordered a pepperoni pizza. Waited 15 minutes not to long place was a little busy. Pizza came out steaming hot. Pizza sauce had a nice tangy taste just enough sauce on the pizza. The cheese was good but the crust could have been a little better. But, I would rate it 6.9 out of 10. Not giving them five stars because there is better pizza to be had in Philly and New York but this *IS* the best pizza at the Jersey shore. No doubt about it. And why do I know this? They consistently use fresh ingredients. I am a fan of plain pizza (why screw up a cheesy, heavenly mess of fun?) and this is real cheese and real, i.e. homemade, tomato sauce. Once in awhile, I will venture into mushroom territory because I love mushrooms and they are using REAL mushrooms. Not the canned stuff. The real, sauteed kind. Friend of ours like sausage on his pie and after taking a nibble a few weeks ago, I can confirm they are using real sausage (like aged Italian) on their pies. Customer service has gotten a bit better but you're still going to get attitude, no matter what. Ignore it. This is pizza the way it should be made. And it is cheap. Forget Mack's or Sam's. I hate to leave a bad review in a time like this, but we had a terrible experience. It took an hour and 20 minutes to receive our order of a Stromboli and a sub. I'm from NY so I know pizza. We go to the jersey shore a few times a year and usually just order dominos bc its easy and well known. Last time we decided to branch out and picked this menu out of many others. The portions were HUGE!!! We are firefighters so we can eat! We had leftovers for lunch the next day. We ordered the calzones, mozz sticks, garlic bread but best of all was the steak and cheese Stromboli. We got it with garlic. It was perfect! thin sliced steak and cheese overflowing from everywhere. The delivery was fast as well. Nothing but good things to say. Except maybe ask for plates bc we didn't and they didn't give any even though it was a hotel room they were delivering too. Best pizza in Wildwood. Their food is always good, delivery is prompt and the food is hot! My only problem is that they charge you 2 extra dollars for credit card payment with delivery, this is on top of the 1 dollar delivery charge. The pizza might be worth it though! Best pizza on the Jersey Shore? What?!? It's not even the best pizza in Wildwood. It's not even the best pizza on NJ Ave in Wildwood. The only thing going for this place is cheap slices, but that's easily explained by relatively tiny slices, and their plastic cheese. I can't say I've eaten pizza everywhere in WW, but we covered probably all that are open during the offseason plus a few opened in Spring. This place might be the worst of the lot as far as pizza we tried. I even hit there a second time as I was hungry and it's right there coming off of Exit 6. This review is based on late 2013-May 2014. Maybe they do things differently to cut costs during the offseason? I don't know, but it's hard to believe we're talking about the same place because this pizza is just sad. Better than Dominos chain types but that's about it. After regularly going to a major chain for coffee, we decided to support small business in this Jersey beach town. Went for a nice walk to Dolce Cafe only to find out they were closed. The sign reads "Open 7 Days". This is a very busy shore town as well as 4th of July weekend. #fail. read more

Order from this place at 8:45 pm and it got here at 10:30. If you take an hour and a half to make two pie's of pizza the crust better be made of 14k gold. This place was a disgrace. I saw the pizza, thought would be good, but then I picked up a slice and the pizza had a CRAZY wildwood flop. The pizza was delivered to my hotel, I wouldn't be suprised if they dipped this pizza in the pool it was so soggy. And not to mention the wack job of a delivery boy, pretty sure he took a cab here or something and we asked for a discount and he said forget it it's free and walked out so I'm pretty sure he's fired.
