My second time there. The first experience was so good we (my daughter and I) came back. I jumped off the edge of sanity and ordered the "Emperor" cut prime rib so I could bring some home to my husband. It was listed on the menu after the "King", so I expected it to be large, but it still surprised me with how big it was. This bad boy was 4" thick! I have never ordered such a big steak before, and I laughed so hard when she brought it out! Soooo worth it! I would love to know who supplies their meats because it was the one of the most tender and delicious prime ribs I've ever had! Top quality! Seasoned and cooked to perfection as well. There are some very talented cooks here, the salad was delicious, the bacon wrapped prime bites were delicious and beautifully presented, hot fresh bread crusty on the outside and soft on the inside served with a garlic cheese butter. This was a Tuesday night about 45 minutes before closing and the service was super friendly and spot on! We were very well taken care of. I can't say enough how much I like this place. The atmosphere is small and cozy, and very unassuming on the outside. I do love the flickering lights at the entrance. A new place for me. Liked the reviews and thought I'd give it a go. Had reservations since it was a Friday. Arrived early and had a cocktail at the bar - nicely made. Friendly staff. The filet was recommend so I went that way and wasn't disappointed. Salad and baker were equally good (potato could have been warmer). A nice dinner at an old school place. Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food portions are generous and quality. I had the chicken marsala which was flavorful and tender. My husband had grilled shrimp and the open faced steak sandwich which he enjoyed. We came towards the end of the night and usually the staff and servers are exhausted and ready to go home but our server made us feel welcomed and at ease, which I appreciate. Exceptional service! All of the staff were very friendly and frequently filled our drinks. We ordered appetizers - crab cakes, cheese curds and onion rings. The crab cakes were amazing as were the cheese curds. It was fish fry Friday and one person had the combo - the blue gill and catfish were perfectly cooked - flaky and moist. The pork chops lived up to their hype, the scallops were perfectly cooked as well, the prime rib sandwich was delicious and enough for 2 people. This was well worth the price. read more

It is ok.. went there last night for Fish fry. It was in my opinion not busy. We arrived at 6:15.. the hostess told us they just had to reset some tables ,and we would be seated. She said she thought that would take 25 to 30 min. Ok.. we sat at the bar, got a drink and in about 20 min, got our table. We ordered and we got our food at 7:48. At that point, we weren't even sure we wanted to stay. The food wasn't worth the wait, or the $40pricetag for just 2 fish frys.. The restaurant itself looks very nice. The bar is gor6... but avoid the downstairs bathrooms. Super gross, dirty and smelly.. musty. We will go back.. but not for a good long while. read more

Has something changed recently? Usually have really good luck here, but not this past weekend. Ordered a king cut filet, someone other than our waitress delivered what was obviously a queen cut. When I asked, was told "that IS a king cut". Our entire table disagreed, then story changed to "she heard you say queen cut...". Meal was ultimately comped, but took me tracking the manager down. Went here for the first time and it was great. The Prime Rib was delicious as was the French Onion soup. We kicked off the dinner with the bacon wrapped prime rib which were very tasty. Here is an absolute gem and not terribly far from where we live but if we lived closer - we would be dining here way more often. Everything is amazing in taste and done to perfection! French onion soup. Steaks or prime rib. The sides - Mac n cheese or red mashed potatoes are simply divine: I'm telling ya, this is place has it down pact and the service is fine . normally a very good place to eat. last night not very much, took my wife and family out for her birthday. We were seated promptly at 615 even though our reservations at 6:30 we all ordered our meal begining with French onion soup. The most tasteless soup we had ever had. we just took that in stride. We did ask our waitress to let the chef know about this. we finally received our meal at 8:00. When we did get our meal my prime rib looks as though it came from Arbys actually there's is thicker, and was barely Luke warm I asked for and end cut and did not get it. My baked potatoes were brown indicating and old potato. I had asked for extra butter received none when I asked for some she took the butter from the bread and abruptly put it within my reach. she was not very sympathetic to my concerns. my daughters chicken Marsala had so much wine in it, it was sweet and not very good. They did take hers off the bill. The bacon wrapped scallops had raw bacon. My grandson was so put off by this he did not want to say anything. He told me this later. All of our meals were like this except for my granddaughters. As I said we have always had a great meal there but something went horribly wrong.. we will try one more time to to make sure this wasn't just a bad night. read more

As a born and raised cheddar, I have been to my fair share of supper clubs. I have to honestly say this is one of the best I have tried. There are a couple things you need to be a true Wisconsin supper club and one of those is serving up prime rib daily. For those who are not familiar with the prime rib it is basically one giant Ribeye steak that is not cut into smaller chunks and it is roasted and not grilled. So I went with an extra few ounces since I'm doing a low carb diet and got 20oz well done. The wife got a queen cut well done as well. Both came out amazing along with the appetizer of prime rib. Glad we made the drive up from Beloit and will definitely do it again. You will not be disappointed. read more

We were there with a party of 10 last night. The bartender, Chef and waitresses were as nice as they could be. I had the blackened prime rib and my wife had a steak. It was as good as it could be. We came here on a whim and we were super impressed. It was later at night and the food and service were spectacular. Their specialty butter with bread was Devine. My significant other had the rib eye and it was cooked perfectly. I had the prime rib sandwich and it was also delicious. The waitress was prompt and very friendly. What a gem. On our way home from Minnesota my wife and I wanted a good dinner and a good dinner we had. I over indulged on walleye and crab legs and they did not disappoint. What's nice it's only a little over an hour north from our house so may have to go again. My only complaint is the bartender is just oblivious, while waiting for our table went to the bar to get a drink, money in hand, and he walked by me three times didn't say boo and anchored himself at the end of the bar with a group of people playing dice. read more

Returning to Milton after 16 years for me and 30 years for my girlfriend, we researched the local fare. We read Fredrick's had "the best prime rib they'd ever tasted" and was stellar in almost everything. We can only agree ... wholeheartedly! Her prime rib was the best she'd ever tasted and, from the taste she gave me, I'd have to agree. My "Spinach Garlic Ravioli" was stunningly delicious! It was THE best of its genre I'd ever had in all my travels. What a find! We left there looking forward to our next visit. Our server, Molly, was eveything you could ask for. There are times when you expect a place to be good, you expect the standard with a slightly refreshing flare to give the place it's own slightly unique signature to a dish you can find in other places. What makes Fredrick's different is that they don't really deviate to make up for sub par ingredients instead they just serve a quality and a flavor that you will not have anywhere else for the same price. The flavor and quality of their food is their standout and I think that is exactly what it should be. This placed blew away any expectations I have had and I can't wait to go back. Wow is the one word that comes to mind. I had the rib special which is a Thursday night staple, and while the sauce was slightly too sweet for my liking the ribs just fell off the bone, it was excellent. My wife's steak was out of this world, the most tender "flat iron" that we've both ever had. The salad was fresh and the service was perfect. For those times when expectations are exceeded this is the most current place I can think of, and I only hope other restaurants will follow. read more
