Located behind an industrial business complex is a small burger joint not visible from traffic and not as crowded on the weekend which maybe the best time to come by. I was greeted by a friendly staff polite and very attentive. Looking at the menu I chose the combo for $12.99 no cheese, no bacon just a plain grilled burger comes with fries and a drink. They gave me a number as they prepared my meal even though I was the only customer service was fast and efficient. A decent size char grilled burger is what I liked not burnt yet juicy not the thin patty comes with added tomato, lettuce, onions and ranch dressing on the side and when it comes to fries they were very generous crispy much like that of McDonald's a great place to dine-in and they do have a spacious outdoor seating. Doing a training across at the Doubletree and looking for a walking distance place to eat. I wanted to try TGI-Sushi but they are closed for lunch on the weekend and found Fred's Burger. I thought I would give it a try. I got the Classic Hamburger Combo. I wanted no sauce but I ended up with sauce and no onions. Instead of having them redo it as just asked for the onions and wiped off the sauce. The bun was crispy and soft and paired will with the grilled burger and fresh veggies: lettuce, tomato, and onion. The combo comes with fries and a drink. I wasn't a fan of the fries because it had a light batter crust on it. I like my fries plain or seasoned like Jack in the Box. They serve Coke products for their options. I decided to try Coke Zero since I never had it before. I was pleasantly surprised how close it was to regular Coke. Overall my meal was decent. We usually go to In-and-Burger when we want burgers, but we decided to try something new today. We were pleasantly surprised with Fred's Burger. Although it is a little pricier than the place we frequent, it was well worth it. We ordered a hot dog, cheeseburger, and a grilled cheese, along with fries. There are customization options that allow you to substitute certain items "in and out" of your burger. See what I did there? :) Ordering through Grubhub, through Fred's Burger's Yelp page was a breeze. When I picked up my order, the bag was stapled shut. I tried to peek inside without breaking open the staple, and everything appeared to be in the bad. I asked the lady that handed me the bag if everything was in there and she confirmed. As I unpacked everything when I got home, I found that I was mistakenly given a grilled chicken sandwich instead of a grilled cheese, and immediately called Fred's to see if they could resolve the issue. I was told by a lady (who I think was the same person who handed me the order) the issue and she told me that I could come back to pick up the correct sandwich. That didn't work for me since I was already super hungry and didn't want to have to get stuck in traffic trying to get back to the store then back to my place again. Asked her if she could have the grilled cheese delivered and she told me that they don't do that. I then proceeded to ask if I could get a refund on the grilled cheese and she told me that she would have to check with the owner and call me back. When the owner called back, he was extremely friendly and apologetic for the order mistake. He said that since the order went through Grubhub, I would have to contact them since they receive the money when the order is made. I worked through Grubhub and they issued me a refund on the mistake in the order. I'm very satisfied with the level of customer service received by both this establishment and Grubhub. With that said, the food was AMAZING. The meats and ingredients in the hot dog and cheeseburger were perfect. The sauce was a slightly sweet, but not overbearing. The fries were perfectly crispy (they seemed to have a light batter on them, and shoe-string cut). The bread use on the sandwiches were firm and flavorful. The veggies were fresh. Fred's Burger really knows how to make burgers. I will definitely make another trip back to eat more burgers and to hopefully be able to try the grilled cheese.
