The reviews are correct - Beware. Your car will be dirtier than when you came in. Truly the worst quality carwash I've ever had. It's so unfortunate because I just simply wanted my car cleaned. It was so bad that I had to wash my car myself by hand afterwards. Look how dirty these towels are in the attached pictures. This is what I got off my car after the carwash. GOT SCAMMED. Took the bait for the $10 for the first month unlimited car washes, the guy running the line said I could cancel in exactly one month online or in person. I did it online but still got charged for the next month because I had to cancel 5 business days prior to the end date. But of course they didn't tell me that! This car wash sucks. Do not get the unlimited car wash. Number one it's hard to cancel, I went on there website to cancel and a way to cancel popped up so I canceled 3 cars and it gave me a date for my last day of car washes. I then sent them a email on July 3 to make sure my cancellation was confirmed, nobody answered. So when someone called me at the end of the month he told me I didn't cancel correctly and showed me how to cancel but then he said I was too late to cancel in July I would have to pay for another month. I paid for the top was and my cars were never really clean and the rims were never cleaned and in the top wash it even says the rims will be cleaned. The people that dry the car actually make the car dirtier and smear the windows so it's like your car was never washed. I would drive to Lowe's and dry the car myself in the parking lot. My advice is don't give them your credit card information. Splash isn't much better, I'm just going to wash my cars myself. read more

This place seemed ok, but your car does not come clean (even running it through twice!), there is no light to tell you when put it in drive, the drying does not do much amd the hamd driers do nothing more than smear stuff back onto the car and there is no tire shime for the top unlimited option! I went there and I had to wait because they could not get their system together. Then. I was waved through but they just washed my car with water and if there was soap - I didnt see any! I had to run through again and i had to tell them i had the top was. There were only traces of soap, barely visible wax and no tire shine! This place really does not put much soap in their wash! I guess its to save money, but your car is still dirty in some areas. Not good - for a car WASH. I had to cancel. They say no protated refunds (which tells me that they know how bad their service is) and they suggested thay i could not use the rest of the month - which i paid for. I will have to stay away. They need to add soap, polishers, waxes and tire shine! Uou are paying for a power water wash. read more

I came here a couple times to give them multiple chances, but definitely not coming back. The last time I went, the car wash didn't rinse off my car at all and left a lot of soap. They told me I could go through again, but same thing happened. They turned off the water to try and fix it (before rinsing off my car) and then told me it was broken. They used cloths to smear around the soap and "wipe it up" which left my car smudged and dirty. I was told to come back later that same day and they would give me another free wash to fix it - they said they were open until 7PM. I came back at 5:45PM and no one was there?!? Feels like a scam. I read the reviews before going and was going to go to auto shine they have 5 stars and will go there next time. I decided last min to stop here because it's around the corner and let me tell you it was a waste of time. I paid for the higher price crash wash too. Looked the man in the eyes and gave him an extra 5 dollars tip as I did I asked him nicely if he could make sure it's a job well done. In conclusion it was a waste of time my car looks just as dirty. When I get my car serviced, they give out coupons for free washes at any Fred's. I decided to go to this one since I think it's one of the closest to where I live. It's in a pretty convenient location, and the staff are efficient and friendly. I'll definitely come here again! read more

I'm Pissed! They washed my car yesterday, late in the day. It really needed it because I was in the VT snow over the weekend. When I got back to the office and got out of my car, I could see that the front wheel was still frosted white from road salt. Decided I would go back the next day, which I did. First thing the next morning I returned and sat through the line. When I got to the front, my car got sprayed in soap from the overspray of the car in front of me. So I explained to the worker what had happened the afternoon before. "Do you have a receipt?" he asked. "No." "When were you here?" "Yesterday, end of the day." "You have to come back the same day." Freds always had a line and looked nice, so I figured I would take my car there for a wash. I opted for the more expensive vacuum, windows and exterior wash. The exterior wash was ok - they missed some bugs and such stuck on the front, and I could forgive that. The rest was substandard. They did an okay - only okay - job vacumming. The windows were a disaster. I do not know what they used to wipe down my windows but they were smeared completely on the inside. Horrible and easily noticeable, thus unexcuseable. In terms of quality, detail and cost, this is the best car wash in the area from Rye Brook through Norwalk and I've tried them all. The staff is courteous and meticulous in detail. If they miss something, just point it out and they'll take care of it. Best of all, if it rains within 5 days of your car wash, they'll wash the exterior of your car again for free. Also, buy the prepaid washes and you'll get one for free. read more

I know they have cut what looks like 90% of the staff currently , but today was the first tome my car came out the other end still dirty and maybe a 30 seconds towel off by the guys at the end . With this being a Chain. I usually get great service. There are some days were they are completely busy and understaffed. The quality of the car wash I cannot complain about and they are very great with detailing and handling luxury cars. I would highly recommend that you go for the monthly at wash service to skip any lines. read more

THE absolute worst car was I've ever had. Popped in to get a quick wash when we were up in Norwalk to get the salt off our car and it turned into a fiasco. First, the guy taking the orders wouldn't stop trying to upsell me. Then I had to ask him for the vacuum token that came with our package. He wasn't going to give it to us. Went through the car wash at lightning speed and I wasn't even sure it would get the salt off the car. When we came out, the guys who were supposed to be drying our car were doing nothing. When we asked them where the vacuums were located they were no help. They shrugged their shoulders. THEY WORK THERE! As we pulled around to vacuum our vehicle out, we noticed some new grease on on one of our wheels that wasn't there before we went in. That's right, my car actually got dirtier going to this car wash. I had to really work on this for about 10 minutes to get if off the wheel. The vacuum time was really short too. I think it only lasted about 5 minutes. Glad I emptied out the car before I put the token in. All in all the worst $15 I've spend since I got suckered into going to see the movie 300. read more

Came in last night to get my car washed around 5:30pm on a Friday. Place was pretty empty. After I was given a hard upsell, they finally got started on my car (after suckering me into $43). I went to go wait in the lobby AND IT WAS LOCKED. While it's a spring day, it was on the colder side and I did not take a jacket with me. So I was forced to wait for my car outside! As a 20 something female, I did not feel comfortable AT ALL with this. On top of this, it took my car 30 minutes to get washed (what?). When I finally got in my car, all my mirrors and seat settings have been completely messed with. Fine, they needed to get under the seat to vacuum. But when I went to move my passenger seat back (as it was almost touching the dashboard), it would not budge. As I barely have passengers in my car, the seat is usually much farther back. When I looked at my car this morning, the seat will still not move and my car is spotty. This is completely unacceptable. DO NOT COME HERE! read more

We did the 7.50 stay in vehicle Express Wash. The staff was nice, saw we had some extra yucky bird poo & lots of bugs from a road trip. Before going in to the automated wash, the attendant took time to really scrub the problem areas. Note it doesn't include the interior, but for a quick wash at less than the price of a gas station car wash it was perfect! For such a reasonable price, it was well worth it! read more

Very disappointed with this place. Went in for a quick car wash at Freds Car Wash in Norwalk, CT and the gentlemen upfront told me that basic car wash is $19. Thats what i need. I came to find out that these guys are absolutely a scam making people pay extra for basic services. You would think that Wash, Vacum and Rims are the three basic needs for a car wash. WRONG. Beware, Vacum and Rims are not included on the $19 basic car wash. Its basically a powerwash thru the machine and your car comes out looking worse than you went in for. These guys dried up the car and told me I was good to go ( I wish I took pictures so you can see how my car looked / absolutely horrible). I went back and asked them to clean the dirty rims becouse no one would ever drive like that. They said that becouse I asked for a vacum, rims are not included. What a way to make money , right? I wish they told me in the beginning before they proceeded with the wash. I asked them to wash the rims and now I had to pay extra $5 for the rims. Its not all about the money however its the principal and being honest and upfront with customers. (I didnt care for a tire shine that I paid for afterwards). I had a chance to look at the menu again and the rims were included in the menu for $21. By now I paid $24. Again, I spoke to the owner and told him that you are charging me more than your Menu says and he didnt care. I did tell him that this is the only Car wash in the state that does not provide the three basic services needed for a car wash. I will never go back to this place again... read more

Went for a car wash, lots of upsells, some are not displayed such as in addition to paying 20+ $'s for a full service wash vacuum and wheel clean to vacuum the cargo area on a mid size SUV is ADDITIONAL 2$? My cargo area is fairly clean, if it needed 30 seconds of attention by them they were wasting time. When I asked why it wasn't done they told me it cost additional and couldn't show the sign they said they had to tell customer of the up charge . Sadly I tipped these bums 3$ after the pathetic wash and vacuum because the tip container was next to the exit and I hadn't looked in the car yet. I think the 2 stars they have up to this point is a miracle and I will tell you now this usually isn't an avenue I'd travel but the workers there were pretty rude and couldn't produce the signage to verify there charge, NOT GOOD BUSINESS! read more

No question this was the worst car wash I had ever received. The price was good until you fine out they charge $8.00 extra to clean the inside, then the price was not much different than anyone else. For that extra inside charge they do the windows, vacuum, door sills and one other thing. 1. They did not vacuum the back the car, a mid sized SUV. 2. They did not clean any of the door sills. 3. The wheels were not even close to clean. 4. The rear window did not look like it was done. My conclusions are neither the management nor the employees really care. From the employee perspective this seems especially sad because they obviously don't care whether the people who leave them tips give a nice or crappy tip or that they have recurring customers that keep giving them tips or keep the place busy so they have jobs. Needless to say we will never go back there again. And have already steered two potential customers away. read more

What a disappointing experience. Came in to get my wife's car washed after a squadron of pigeons mercilessly had dive bombed her car making it look like a drive-by took place. I paid $25 for a wash, to have the seats wiped down, and to have her winter floor mats rinsed; because hey, it's Spring! I initially felt this was a bit pricy for no extra services, but I was told the dash would be wiped, the seats would be wiped, outside towel dried, and of course the floor mats would be rinsed, etc... Needless to say, her car was returned to us still speckled in bird doo, it was dirtier inside somehow than when we brought it in, and nothing wiped down... I went to have my car wash had a full service when the car came out it had a big scratch on the roof I brought this to the manager attention his response was "No we did not do this " the scratch was not length wise but cross wise I asked him how could that happen his answer was that maybe someone placed a styrofoam coffee cup and that what scratched it. Unfortunately this location does not represent the good quality service offered at the other same named locations. The service is constantly poor to those who purchase the unlimited monthly packages as compared to those who have interior work. Every time my car did not receive the package I purchased and I had to request the workers to provide the services that were part of the package. Every time I went thru the car wash either the back of my car was not cleaned, a side was not prewashed, the windows were not dried, or the tires were not cleaned, unreal. When I called to cancel my monthly package the service manager was polite but they did nothing to encourage me to continue service. Obviously this location could care less about its higher end customers and wants us to go elsewhere. Save your money and go to another car wash service. read more

Very reliable and meticulous car wash. The exterior of my new car was damaged by lime scale from my apartment's underground parking. The staff at Fred's (particularly Cesar) did an immaculate job of removing the lime marks in a rather short time at a reasonable cost. Highly recommended! read more
