I pulled in last night and a female employee rudely waved her arms for me to back up and move! A gentleman waved me o er to the other lane and explained the different car washes. I paid 46.78 for the works and when I got to my job up the street and saw the car in the light I realized they didn't do the tires, there was still dirt along the windshield, inside the car, etc! There was still a large streak of dirt going over the center of the hood through the roof. It looked like two short people washed both sides but could not reach the middle of the SUV. There were bugs still on the front and side mirrors. I feel like their machines are old and need updating since it couldn't clean my car well. read more

I normally go to the Splash in Stamford, but since I am near the Darien location, I thought it would be convenient to use the Darien one. I paid $49 for the Works and the mats (surprise! $6). But the trunk and edges by the doors are still full of crumbs. The vacuum job was obviously just going through the motions without checking if it was clean. The place was not busy, no lines. So why the rush job? No supervision to check quality control? Won't go there again! read more

After I got brand new Tesla I immediately went to splash car wash in Darien to get the $70/month unlimited washes. Immediately after going there I noticed a noise when driving above 60mph, long story short I found out that when your car is being pushed along by the rollers inside the metal rails it's taking ping pong ball sized chunks out of your tires and completely destroying the inside of your rims. Of course after getting my wheels rotated they destroyed the good ones too, so now I have chunks of rubber missing from the inside of all my wheels AND the inside of the rims look like they've been hammered repeatedly. If you look at the metal rail your car goes through it's full of scratches and even has chunks of metal sticking out with chunks of rubber attached from all the tires they've been destroying. I also found out they're supposed to warn you that damage to wheels is likely if you have low profile tires, which of course they did not because it's staffed by a bunch of immigrants that don't speak English. I brought this up with the manager and he aggressively told me it's from potholes which is physically impossible, then he opened a case with corporate, the guy from corporate called me to tell me they'll look into it and I haven't heard from them since (that was 3 weeks ago). Splash car wash owes me a full set of new wheels which will cost me approximately $5000 and they are refusing to cooperate and even ignoring me because they think I'll just forget about it. I can only imagine how many people are driving around with destroyed tires and rims without even knowing it. Also when they washed the car it often came out dirtier than it went in, they wipe the car with dirty rags that leave scratches on the paint and when they wipe the windows their dirty rags leave tons of residue on them. read more

I saw the bad reviews but I desperately needed my car washed after having kids destroy my car for months and never having the time to stop and get it done. I didn't want to drive down to Stamford to get one but I should have for nearly half the price. I hoped that the experience of others wouldn't be my experience so I gave them a shot! Very disappointing. First, the prices are high in comparison to other places. I paid nearly $50 ($48) for the full service wash and included my mats. I pay half of that in Stamford for the same service. Nonetheless, the full service included vacuuming. The photo attached is my car AFTER my wash and "vacuum", LOL. I can't make this up. When I confronted them about this, I was told that it's because I needed an upgraded package. That their vacuums can't get into tight spaces. So if i went with the package that I was quoted at $78, they would have found a vacuum to get into the tight spaces? Yeah, NO! Unacceptable. If the base package that I asked for includes vacuuming, then VACUUM! TF? I didn't ask for a detail or for additional surfaces to be cleaned outside of what's included in the package. I asked for what was included to actually be INCLUDED and executed properly! Simple. I won't ever be back to this location even though I have a golden ticket. Maybe I'll be able to use it at a different location. A location that actually has good reviews. Smh read more

Go here if you enjoy paying for mediocrity. I got the "full service" and my car was barely cleaned. It comes with "thorough vacuuming" (per their website) but half of my car was not vacuumed. And I don't mean that they kinda vacuumed, I mean that the entire passenger side and back seats were not vacuumed at all. They only did the driver seat to pretend it was vacuumed. On the exterior, it was not fully dried and had some splashes of soap still on it. They rush you out, so I noticed all of this when I got home. I went back and told them that there must have been a mistake because it was not vacuumed. They vacuumed again with no effort.. my car left, once again, half clean. I decided not to waste my time trying with them and accept the fact that I wasted $30 and 30 minutes of my time. I recommend you save yourself the hassle. Exterior car wash was okay, but inside looks like nothing was touched at all. I still have dog hair, crumbs, dirt, and the windshield looks worse with streaks than it did before the internal detail. I probably should have taken the service with a grain of salt considering the whole process takes under 5 minutes. read more

I can't speak to the "team" service, but the self-service bays are a joke. $5 gets you a measly four minutes, and rinse was the only setting that worked. No soap. No wax. Just water. Not the spot-free water either, so there were plenty of water spots to be had. I paid $5 to rain on my car and left it looking dirtier than when I drove in, which I could have done if I had waited for the proper cloud. read more

came for an emergency clean before work. my drink exploded all over my steering wheels, seats, my lap, etc. They did a horrible job. They made my car worse after *cleaning it*. I now have a stain I cannot get off on the inside of my windshield that they caused. I called to complain and I got no refund offered or anything. My debit card declined, so the front desk asked me to zelle the payment, which i did. However, it was still pending, so, get this, the manager demanded I leave "collateral". I told the guy I will go withdraw the $172 and come right back. Nope. Made me leave my drivers license. then 2 days later, come to get my license. Zelle says "payment sent" but the woman who is not working still claims she hasnt received it. So more time wasted to withdraw the $172 and make another trip to get my license out of Hoc. Complete waste of money. $32 for a simple car wash. Staff barely dry car off, do not clean interior mats- that apparently costs extra! There is a car wash less that 1/4 down the road for 1/2 the price & they do a fine job. I'm not sure why I tried Splash this time, but I won't make the mistake again. read more

They don't wash cars well, I stopped visiting that place because every time they wash the car they wash it wrong. They clean the windows with dirty rags. You take the car to be washed, and it comes out dirty. I don't recommend that place at all. read more

I haven't posted anything about Splash in a long time, but today's visit deserves an updated review. The check in guy at the Darien location is great. He always makes sure that my car is completely vacuumed before it's driven into the wash. Unfortunately, the people in the drying area don't take the same pride in their work. Splash has to be the only car wash in America where you can leave with windows that are dirtier than when you drove in. Today, as usual, they did a poor job of dying my car. The roof and trunk were untouched. When I asked to have them dried, someone came back and dried the roof. He then took the cloth that he had used to dry the roof, which was soaking wet, and swiped it across the back window, leaving it smudged. I had to clean it myself when I got home. I sure wish Splash had some real competition. read more

I have lived nearby and used this car wash exclusively for over ten years. It just keeps getting worse and worse. Today I paid $40 for a "full service" wash plus my mats and when I got in after it was "cleaned" had to mop up the window spray on 2 seats, clean the dashboard and doors which were still dusty, crumbs in the seats among other things. I came home and spent another 20 minutes cleaning the interior. Pathetic. read more

Just went back because I still have the monthly membership. I thought it couldn't get any worse but it sure did. Wheels were still dirty like they just threw water on them. My car is a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. It is my SUV that does all my errands. It also has a third row of seating. I needed to use all the seats for passengers in the city. So I decided to have the car cleaned and have a super interior. It cost $62.73 which is more than reasonable for what was done. Unfortunately they really did not do such a great job. Here are the pics minutes after the wash taken at the southbound rest area while getting gas. You can come to your own conclusion but it seems like a fail to me. The windows were still dirty and the tire shine was barely applied. The kicker is there is a sign that says "third row seat extra $2.00". I said to the gentleman taking the order " I have a third row seat so I want to make sure it gets cleaned" he said "don't worry". Well guess what didn't get cleaned, the third row seat. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me... As I was told onsite your "business model" is fundamentally flawed. This can be perceived as ignorance as in " we didn't understand how to care for automobile paint but are doing our best" or malicious as in " we know that the way we wash cars damages the paint every time but that feeds our detail buisness". Either way you are missing the point of this review. One side of my car was still filthy. A very rushed job, not worth the $ I keep giving Splash a chance but I've given up.

This was the third time I would give them a try after not being satisfied the first two times. Especially the cost I would think I would be getting nothing but the best. I paid extra to get my weather floor mats cleaned and didn't notice until I was down the street that they look the same. For $47 I should not have to go home and clean my own mats or get spots they missed. Safe yourself the money and frustration and stay away. read more

As I literally saw my $20 run down the drain in the self wash bay, I knew my car would never be clean here. The funny thing is, when you use the soap option, just water comes out, as clear as the water in the Bahamas. But just how in the hell am I supposed to clean my car with no soap. If I could give this Splash negative stars I would. I've never seen so many people work so hard and do such a bad job. After I got my truck/SUV washed last week I noticed huge sections were not washed, tires had no shine and windows were not cleaned. I watched them "clean" the entire truck but it was like their sponges and towels did nothing. The truck wasn't even that dirty since it had been washed at a different Splash the week before (a much better experience). Never again will I return to this location. read more

Updating prior review. As you can see, I have been coming here for more than a decade. It's always been a fun activity to come to the car wash and leave with a fresh nice car. Recently, my passenger mirror was broken at this car wash location, however the company did accept responsibility and pay for the repair, which I appreciate . I am reducing my review to two stars though because I am not comfortable ever coming back because of the way I was treated by the store manager, and then by the regional manager. They were really abusive to me and I am scared to return. It still makes me upset when I think about it. read more
