Good place to get your car washed. Yes they're more money but this is a full service car wash, they wash the exterior, inside windows, mats, vacuum and dry the car. My old car wash was a drive through type, no vacuum, no cleaning the mats, no inside windows and they essentially only dried the top half of the car. The only reason I staid with them was the free rewash with 5 days, which they eliminated a few months back. Think I found my new car wash. read more

Took my son's car in for total car wash. He'd been on a cross country trip with his Samoyed (white dog hair everywhere) and black SUV. Rep suggested mini detail for $70... 45 minutes. Didn't want to wait but worth my time and money!!! White hair gone, windows, sunroofs... crystal clear!! My son was thrilled instead of a beat up Escalade he got back his new SUV. Like all good things, this old gem has come to an end. I used to love this place, but apparently they sold or rebranded and now its absolute trash. Today, I paid for 'The Works' wash (all inclusive). The car came out not clean with salt still all over it. I asked the window cleaning guy to wipe down my windows as they were still covered in a thick salty film. The guy used a dirty towel and scratched the glass. When I went inside to tell the manager he came out to take a look. Without saying a word he then walked inside to work the register. I followed him back inside and asked again and he told me that towels don't scratch glass. I WATCHED THE GUY PICK THE DIRTY TOWEL OFF THE ASPHALT. Additionally, the inside was not cleaned. They used to do a great job in wiping down the dashboard, but not anymore. It was clearly barely brushed with a rag. I will go to Springdale for now on to get my car cleaned. I paid $30 for the best car wash and they didn't even clean the rims or put tire shine on my car. I was very disappointed with the experience I received. I also had to pop the trunk and wipe the dirt off the back of my car myself. Not sure why the guy at the front talked me into the best wash when I was not treated right. read more

I took my car and paid 30$ and did a bad job. They clean the mats and put the wer mats back in car, didn't vaccum the car although paid for it. I would never recommend this shop for any car clean job. The guy who was doing it didn't bother to say sorry when we showed the dirty car post clean up. read more

Right after leaving Darien Car Clinic today, was initially positively impressed with how thoroughly they cleaned my car. Quickly, though, a couple of "you're kidding me" type moments happened. First, I noticed the passenger side floor mat was suddenly sitting rather lopsided in the foot well. Upon lifting it, realized the previously perfectly good fastener (factory) had been ripped out of the floor and was now clinging to the mat. Was able to effect a "self repair" (screwed the fastener back into the carpet) and went on my way. Stuff happens, so no REALLY big deal YET--just careless work, arguably. Then I got out of my car a few minutes later, happened to look at the roof and saw that a couple of "chunks" had been taken out of the roof stripe. Seriously? Striping was just redone (under warranty, mind you, by dealer--so "solid" work, presumably) less than two months ago and was PERFECT prior to this wash. What kind of crazy brush was used on the roof?? Net, net: friendly, quick service was more than offset in a negative way today by shoddy, inept work during something as simple as a car wash. Will steer clear of this particular wash in the future. read more

I've been taking my cars there for several years now for oil changes. What I like is they don't try to oversell me. Vavoline up the road a bit, sold me on some things that they said are required by the manufacturer, however I cannot find them anywhere in the manufacturer's specs. Also I don't like the fact that at Valvoline you are essentially locked in your car while the service is being done - so it's hard to check things out. I usually check the oil after it's done, and it's always been clean and at the right level. I don't know if there is a way to verify that they used synthetic or not, but I'd like to do that some day. Also I never really checked if the oil filter is changed - probably should check that some time. read more

Used then for years without a major concern until my last visit. Took them our Audi and provided six quarts of Mobil 1, per usual for them to drop in with no credit for the conventional oil they'd not need to provide. Visit took a while and then they presented me with a bill for the oil change plus two more quarts of synthetic. The car hold's five and a half quarts usually, six puts it at or just into the overfill range. Much debate, why were they putting eight quarts in the car? They pulled out a printout, saying that's the spec for the eight cylinder Audi motor. It's not an eight, we went under the hood and I made them count the spark plug wires, six. They go back to the printout, and point to 4.2 V8, I take them to the back of the car and point to the badge, 2.7L Turbo, we go back to the engine bay, six spark plugs, they continue to insist they are right. We pull the dipstick.....way into the overfill range. Language is a barrier with the guys in the pit and someone gets the manager on the phone. "My guys know their stuff, they are well trained, they don't make mistakes, pay for the two quarts and go somewhere else if you don't like it". I asked the manager to come to the shop and see this mess, he hangs up. Paid their bill and dropped by my repair shop to review the overfill situation. Oddly, the oil level is perfect when we check again, even though the oil is now hot. Shop owner says "I can smell oil" and looks under the car. The filter gasket wasn't fully seated and now all that Mobil1 is dripping out! Darien Car Clinics mistakes and arrogance, SAVED my expensive engine! Yeah, never went back. read more

BEWARE!!! I Would Give Negative Stars if I could, Completely raked the coals over a female customer. They charged 3 times the labor time allowed for a job. On top of that, They pulled the wrong sensor and damaged it, and told customer to bring car to dealer. If things weren't bad enough, the car didn't even make it down the street. Limped car back immeadilty and they made up another bull excuse, and charged even more to fix their screw up. Please stay far away from this shop, The only skill they have is ripping people off, Especially females. read more

I can't speak for the oil changes but I had a car wash here today and it was great. My car got egged (ONE egg) last night and I made the mistake of going to Splash who wanted to charge me over $70 for a car wash to remove it. Promptly left and came to Darien Car Clinic right next door who told me that any of their car washes should remove the egg. In fact, the friendly gentleman was quite confused at my question and said "Of course we will remove the egg! just pick whatever wash you want". Great customer service. I got the best regular wash they offer because it had been a while for my car, and I wanted the inside cleaned as well and with that and a new car freshener I spent about $28. The young gentleman at the register was super friendly as well. I was impressed with the car wash - they did a nice job, took a little extra effort and time to remove all the egg and cleaned the inside very nicely and quickly. read more

Today was my third oil change and car wash with these guys, and I've been most satisfied. I've never heard any complaints. I can only figure the guy with the Jaguar doesn't understand HIS CAR LEAKS OIL like every Jag. The Internet is full of complaints, since happy customers don't usually post. This place is great $39 for an oil change, they know how to reset your dashboard, and off you go. read more

I took my Jaguar here for a regular oil change. Several days later I noticed a strange odor coming from the car and that it was leaking oil. I took my car back here to have them look at it and they said it was fixed. I noticed that it is still leaking oil and has not been fixed. I never had this problem before I took my car here. Dont go there!! I go there for oil change they install in my car 5.7 quart oil but my car need 4.5 quard(its not good for enfine), they dont know what they do!! And they install to much fluids in my car, before i came there i dont have problems, after that i have very big coolant liking ,because they install to much coollant, and they install that coolant when car is hot!!!! read more

I bring my car in routinely for oil changes, they're always very friendly towards me & come inside to let me know if they notice anything else that the car may need (lights out, break pads, washer fluid, oil filter, etc), but don't even push you to do something, they definitely just want to make sure you're aware of what's happening with your car! I used to do my changes here. I couldn't tell if the bulk oil which came out of the dispensers were new or recycled. So then I brought my own Mobil 1 from K-mart. I did that for a couple of years until they torqued my oil drain bolt too tight and stripped it (no crush washer used). They couldn't fix it, and I needed AAA to tow it to my local mechanic to retap the drain hole for a new plug and fill it with oil. This was years ago, maybe 2010. They do good job on the car washes, except if you're paying for an underbody wash and rust inhibitor those lights often don't come on, so you don't know if they remembered to turn those features on or not. They tell me the lights often burn out. This is current. People are pleasant and helpful. read more

I took my car for a wash here today because I haven't been happy with Splash lately. When the car came out and I was told it was ready, I first noticed that the seat was wet. I soon forgot about that when I noticed a black mark on the car right behind the door (the car is white). When I called the guy who dried it to explain, he sent another guy over with a jar of gasoline. He cleaned off the black mark and I thought I was okay. When I started to drive off, I noticed that the passenger's side mirror was bent back. I pulled into the next parking lot and push it back into place. When I did, I noticed that the area around the mirror was all wet and soapy. The final straw, however, was when I got home and noticed that there was a slight dent where the black mark had been. I went back, but the owner, Tom, had just left. I will be visiting him tomorrow, but I highly recommend that you avoid this place at all costs. They are careless, do a half-assed job and I still can't figure out how they managed to dent my car. UPDATE- I am happy to report that the owner, Tom, while not convinced that my car was damaged while being washed, believed that I really did and paid to have my dent fixed. I am going to give them another try and hope they do a better job at washing the car. Tom is a stand up business owner who really wants his customers to be satisfied. read more

Horrible--absolutely dangerous to have your car serviced there. Windshield wipers that they installed fell off during a rain storm. They overtightened lugnuts on my tires to the extent that only an air wrench could loosen them. They list on their check off sheet that they have performed work that they haven't (like changing fluids, checking tire pressue, etc...). Avoid them like the plague... read more
