I called this store to inquire about whether I can return an online purchase and the SA who answered the phone was very nice and said yes just bring it in. I returned the item with no problem. I also browsed around and the store was very inviting. I am at the age where I will not put up with anything I do not love. Life is too short. So, about the item I had to return. There is one thing Free People does well and it is the boho tiered ruffle look. I purchased a tiered trapeze hoodie from Free People a few years ago that is absolute perfection: soft, forgiving and hides all bumps, youthful and cute. I had been watching the website for another color of this tiered trapeze hoodie that I liked, such as a deep wine red, but it never happened. However, the other day, I saw a mint green color tiered trapeze hoodie on Freepeople.com that was half off. Wow, that never happens. I ordered it immediately. Absolutely not the same as my beloved hoodie. It is now in a heavy sweatshirt material that is really annoyingly tight in the arms. And because of this heavy material, the trapeze literally looks like a tent. Not a good look. Please bring back the original and best, in a soft French terry,in both black and deep red!

Doesn't fall short of SoHo standards

I'm biased because I'm a stylist at this store, but I must say it is a huge store, heavy on merch! Especially as compared to the next closest on Smith St in Brooklyn, which is tiny! There's definitely a good selection of looks here. There's a huge denim section, as well as a large Movement (athlesiure) department. They also have intimates, and a healthy assortment of dresses, and lots of accessories! Standards are pretty meticulous, so the product will likely be presented neatly when you arrive to shop.

Looks like three people are working in the store when I visit. I mostly buy Free people clothes online and never been in their retail store. I just want to see what stuff they have and maybe they will have different stuff than online. Staff say hi to me when I step in and they let me walk around without interruption. The store is clean and the decoration in the store is very bohemian. Items in the store is so much less than official website but it is nice anyway to walk around and see the real clothes before buying.

Their hours of operation listed are wrong. Please correct! (Otherwise, this is a great location with lots of inventory).

I love their clothes. They have styles that you don't see too often anywhere else. A little pricey but definitely worth it!

I bought my first pair of cloudsteppers in Summer of 2024, same style as picture in blue with the same issue. The sole cracks after 1 year. On 7/27/26 I bought (2 more pairs of Cloudsteppers, 1 in blue (again) and 1 in beige (see picture) I threw the blue pair out and will have to do the same for the beige pair. I have problem feet and need a comfortable sandal, especially given the fact I take public transportation in 2 states. The comfort of my feet are paramount. I bought all 3 pairs from Macy's who this year gave me a break and I had to buy another brand, I bought TEVA. They are comfortable enough but not a cloudstepper for sure. I called customer service for Clarks's filled out a contact sheet with a picture of their defective shoe. Clarks customer service will not at the very least stand by the brand to offer me a discount at the very least if I were to purchase from them online. That I told them is poor customer service, that they don't stand by their brand if not bought from their direct store or online.

I've been wearing my ankle boots for years. I ended up putting an insole in them for added comfort. Sometimes I wish I needed a new pair because I've had my eye on their classic styles for a long while. Customer service isn't a pushy and overselling type style. I always enjoy my browsing visits. I'm recommending you visit when you need a reasonably priced comfortable shoe.

Well this location blows that tiny store away, so much more variety and options! They have expanded their accessories & clothing variety vastly. So many cute dresses and blouses. Now moving on to why 3 stars have been knocked off.... The customer service here is absolutely HORRENDOUS. I was looking at a pair of "creepers" that were absolutely beautiful and was about to ask if they have it in my size when I was rudely approached by a saleswoman (didn't catch her name, but she was in her 40's, I would say), who exclaimed "Um, that is our display!!! You can look at those shoes here!", as she waved her hand to a shelf. Her tone was so horrible that even her colleague, who looked a little younger, started giggling and smirking. I immediately walked out, took three steps down the block, only to think to myself to go back and let her know that I did not appreciate her statement, her tone or the way she handled herself in any means with an interested customer. When I did, she quickly put on a fake smile and passive-aggressively stated "Okay, have a nice day!", as she exaggerated a wave at me, with her friend trying to hide her laugh. Pretty sure I graduated high school years ago... It's unfortunate for the store to be represented like this because my friends and I have been coming here for a while because it's a nice shoe store that is right in our neighborhood. But after this incident, we will all be taking our business elsewhere...

I am looking forward to sporting my amazing boots in September when I anticipate things will be more normal and I will be capable of wearing a heel again. Boots, boots and more boots! I love boots, and the selection here of amazing, well made leather boots, from classic to edgy, ankle to calf length boots is amazing. The owner Evan selects the materials and designs of the boots and bags, which are uniquely beautiful. He was friendly, attentive, and wonderful at quickly assessing my likes and preferences and making recommendations, then bringing out boots to try on. While I was not planning on buying any shoes when I stumbled upon this gem-store on my long walk, I was so enamored I ended up buying one pair, then returning later that day to purchase the other three pairs of shoes that I didn't want to buy on impulse. The quality and prices could not be beat! (All boots are 50 percent off now, a steal for the quality!) And I decided that I (and everyone) deserve a post quarantine "I am vaccinated" treat as we are able to start walking and getting out! They also have a wide selection of heels and sandals to choose from, casual and formal, and pretty handbags and clutches. Loyal customers visit and place online and phone orders from all over the state and country, and with the wonderful selection of footwear and Evan's outstanding service, I can see why. Love this store, and definitely plan to return.
