The few times I've been here, the employees were gathered at the counter talking when I walked in, and no one acknowledged me or offered any assistance. I came in to make a return this week, and the associate who helped me made me feel very uncomfortable. She seemed hesitant to touch the dress and even dusted off her fingers afterward, which came across as if the item was dirty or unsanitary. Self-serve shopping was fine. The customer service was elementary, poor even. The THREE sales reps were gathered around the main counter and chatted amongst themselves the entire time. I received no welcome or greeting; they all but ignored the self-serving customers, and reluctantly answered questions and presented the fitting rooms. I carried four pounds of clothes around the store for twenty minutes before my hand were freed up. Upon check out, I encountered an inconvenienced and rigid employee whose obligation to interact with a customer felt to me like it was a major inconvenience in her day. Get it together Free People! Customer service in this beautiful and potentially posh location was rudely underserved; customer service and congenial conversation with guests is clearly undervalued by the employees. First time at this store and was excited especially since its nicely located next to my other favorite store, Paper Source plus the beautiful exterior of the building made it more enticing to go in and take a quick look at what the interior of the store at now that I'm a Free People junkie. The staff greeted me as soon as I walked in and offered their help if needed. After walking around I noticed their inventory was limited in terms of style in comparison to the Free People in Arcadia but still a lot to choose from. Fitting rooms are located towards the back along with the FP Movement clothing line. I love the decor of the Free People stores, they all have similar yet different decor at each store I have visited: Irvine, Arcadia, Huntington Beach, Valencia, Palm Springs to name a few. I'm over here waiting for when Free People starts their own interior design line or if we could hire their interior decorator to make my house look like a Free People store. Metered Street Parking is available but can be difficult to find spots nearby during peak hours. read more

Free people is pretty much all I wear anymore. While their sizing isn't always consistent, I love the clothes, styles, textures, little details, everything they do! I primarily order online and return in store. Most of the staff knows me here, and are always terribly friendly. I'm giving them 4, not 5 stars because of their size selection. Yes, it's a small store, but they are heavy on smaller sizes, leaving the larger ones to be ordered online. It seems like after M, not much exists. Don't get me wrong, I've found L's here before, and the occasional piece of denim over a 31, but I wear L, XL, 32/33 so I do my damage online. Like I said tho. Staffs great, they're following covid guidelines, stores clean, parkings never too tough. I'll be back. I got orders coming this week. read more

I visited the store yesterday to do a return. I asked the cashier for help twice and she kept telling me that what I was looking for was in the corner. I had to ask her for a 3 rd time to please come and show me very bad service so disappointed. I will not visit this store again after all that no return was done there registers were not working and they didn't have the item and did not offer to order for me. Absolutely agree with the two other real reviewers who said the mustache guy who works her hates his job. He definitely does a good job of making people feel unwelcome and gives you a bad look if god forbid they sent you an oversized item and you try to return it. This store has excellent customer service! Jen the store manager was extremely helpful in resolving an issue I had with an order I placed. She was very professional! Also this store is really well stocked and is always very clean and organized! I love that they also carry some items that are available exclusively online, it makes it easier to be able to try things on and see if the fit is right. This brand is a sister company to Urban Outfitters but it seems to have better quality pieces and is more curated for the boho chic carefree girl. I also really enjoy their accessories and that they have plenty of vegan options for purses! Overall this store is a great stop if you're looking for a cute dress or jeans and a tee shirt! They have everything! The staff is nice and helpful and the store manager goes out of her way to make customers feel appreciated! read more

I went to this store's location on 9/20/20 and was extremely disappointed by the customer service I received. On Sundays, with COVID, this location closes at 6pm. I arrived at the store at 5:55pm and the door was already locked and after knocking at the door, the manager let me in and was like "I guess you can come in" and made me feel like I was being extremely rude for even wanting to go into the store. It COMPETELY made me feel uncomfortable and ruined the mood to purchase anything! I felt like I was intruding even though there were still other customers still in the store. Being unemployed my purchases are very limited and this treatment does not want me want to shop at this store anymore. Very dissapointed. read more

If I can give a 0 to customer service, I most definitely would. The turnover rate at this specific location is very high, I've noticed. The manager absolutely hates his job and is so rude, I'm embarrassed for him. I have never walked into this specific location and been greeted with a positive attitude. I believe there are two managers they both are absolutely sh** at their job because they make you feel so uncomfortable with just how stoic they are. And don't get me started on the look on their faces when you ask them to pull a specific item for you. It's so bad that I avoid walking in here every time I walk by the windows. That's how much the employees suck. I'm like "oh cute dress"! But do I really want to deal with that unhappy face?!! Get new employees if you want your customers to have a pleasant shopping experience. As much as I love the store, I just don't understand the customer service. The location in the Santa Anita mall were wonderful and I usually have no issue with the employees but the one on Colorado just didn't give me a great day. Two days ago I quickly went in to purchase some pants and I wanted to try them on. Now I understand their fitting room style and usually one of the employees lets you in but there was no employee around but this one gal who kept ignoring me. She didn't even bother telling me the rooms are occupied and will help me once one is available. There was two fitting rooms opened and weren't being used and the same gal ignored me once more. I was running out of time so I quickly went into one that wasn't being used and tried the pants on. Mid way a lady opens the curtains and scared me. Then she ended complaining that I was in her room, not in a bad way but still complained. I was incredibly irritated and left the store. No one greeted me or asked me anything and I understand sometimes your busy with work but still no way to treat a customer. This is only regarding one person but it makes me wonder who else is rude who works there. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone. Please be social with your customers, all we ask is a little communication. read more

Man. Normally I don't say anything because I know working retail is a crap job. But something is up with Free People's customer service. I've been to this store many times and the people there have always been very helpful all-around. But on a recent visit it was just not the case. I guess the brand is OK with selling damaged shirts full price as long as they're sold online? I ordered my own replacement, which was still damaged, and returned that one, but no price adjustment on the less-damaged one, nothing. The dude at the counter actually took out some sponge or something and started RUBBING THE BLACK SPOT ON THE SHIRT with it to try to "remove" it lol! I cringed!!! The customer service over the phone has been unhelpful/disinterested lately too, it's weird. Maybe the company is struggling? I know I'll be shopping there less. Take notes from Madewell across the street -- they're stellar. read more

Excellent customer arrive at this location! I called searching for the hard to find "One Palermo Set". Brooke (I think that's her name) searched the store for the set even though her system said there were no sets in my size. She remembered seeing it and double checked. Come to find out they did have my size! She put it on hold for me but also located the set in other locations closer to me. I ended up purchasing the set at another location but I was so impressed but her customer service and really appreciated her help. read more
