Sometimes in life you just want different, local nail shops in your area are great. But I definitely took my time with this choice. I was just randomly googling different nails places near me, and this had to be about the second or third time searching google and really getting the feel of the place just from its photography and appearance. Mind you I was browsing first to find air brush, but then I came across some nail inspiration and boom. I found the "one" look I wanted. So just from the nail inspiration I wanted to find a nail place that gave me what I was feeling from the photograph, a meditation zone, a mini vacation, some earthy vibes, a peace of mind. So out of all the places I came across I chose this one, mainly because my baby nephew name is Mason, but then I looked into the website and it felt amazing just from its art , the style of nails. The appearance everything. And randomly walking in and getting paired with "yuki" she was amazing. A friendly host, we chatted a bit, but honestly her vibe was so peaceful you didn't even want to ruin the moment, her silence was peaceful enough. I sat in the middle row so I had views of outside just taking in the city and the scenery, amazing vibes. I would highly recommend trying this place out. This place is a hit or miss. It all depends on the nail tech and there quite a few poor ones so be careful. I've had a nail tech who didn't know how to do french nails. Another one who put way too much polish that my nails couldn't dry. And others who are unsanitary when doing my nails. read more

My experience at this salon has been getting worse each time. From how dirty/dusty the salon is and how messy and crowded it is, and everything in between. The front reception person doesn't greet you, and now there's no check in/point system anymore...so what happened to all my points? You are not offered drinks anymore The workers are constantly speaking in another language, running around and bumping into stuff It has become a very unprofessional place I don't get what the point of cameras are inside the salon when nothing is being monitored and improved? There's too many salons to choose from, sadly, things have gone downhill here and it is no longer worth it for the amount of money they charge you. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for a few years now and up until 2 weeks ago the service had been amazing. But this past experience was possibly the worst I've had. My nails did not look like a professional had done them ... on top of that I requested a design ( which mind you is extra and pricey) and it legit looked terrible. To make matters worse it took the girl almost 3 hours to do my hands. I would understand if it was complex but even then 3 hours is outrageous. I'm a very understanding person and I would have much rather she tell me she couldn't do the design instead of having me sit there for that long and having to re-do nails because the design wasn't coming out correctly or because she messed up the polish. I visited this nail salon for the third time for my birthday set, and I'm honestly so impressed with both the quality and the service. Anna was my nail artist today, and she was amazing. I'm usually very indecisive when it comes to nail designs, but she really helped guide me and made the whole process easy. She was super attentive and sweet, constantly checking in to make sure I liked the shape and color. I spent about two hours there and felt completely pampered and taken care of the entire time. I've been going to this salon for over a year now, off recommendation from a close friend and I've never been disappointed! I found my nail girl, BoYoung, from the salons instagram page and we clicked instantly from our first conversation and I'd genuinely trust her with my hands ANY DAY. She's able to take any photo I show her and replicate them perfectly. I'm an artist, and incredibly picky when it comes to who touches my hands while also allowing for their own creative freedom with application and color choices. But BoYoung has never failed me with her art, and I'm thrilled that I've found her work and that we work well together. The salon has been great (albeit more crowded now as it's been busy with more clients) but I'm always able to book an appointment and able to find parking in the neighborhood and walk over. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maiason Salon - mostly from my experience with my nail specialist, Anna. I'll start off by saying the Salon is beautiful, I love that they serve mimosas while you're getting your nails done, the interior was very beautiful colors and it was a great atmosphere. Anna stayed an hour and a half after closing just to help me out because I had a wedding the next day--and she never once made me feel rushed or like I was an inconvenience. Not only did she do a truly spectacular job on my nails, but she is also one of the kindest, sweetest people I've ever met. I can be very indecisive, but Anna was so patient and thoughtful while helping me choose my colors and style, gently guiding me in the right direction. Even after working so late, she never showed the slightest bit of frustration--just pure kindness and professionalism. I literally am still in shock that she stayed an hour and a half later.... It's 9pm...... her commitment to me, as the client? showed that she put the time and love into her work. I am beyond grateful for this experience. If I could give 10 stars, I would! Most importantly, Anna deserves recognition for being such a talented nail tech, her attention to detail was so on-point, & she was just a one-of-a-kind person.. When I walked in, the same receptionist from before ignored me because she was busy reading her book and didn't acknowledge me until I spoke up. However, when it was time to check out, the receptionist was still glued to her book. The entire time I was there, she seemed more focused on reading than helping customers. In a customer service environment, you expect the front desk to at least be welcoming and attentive. If she's not interested in helping anyone and would rather just read, then maybe working in a library would be a better fit. I even asked my technician for the front desk person's name and was told it's Jessica. If you happen to encounter her, just be prepared for a very unfriendly interaction. I was really hoping to make this my go to nail salon.. went in a few weeks ago. Great experience did gel x nails.. was is told by the technician that when I come in next time, I would be able to do a bio gel fill for my gel X nails.. I visited yesterday and the experience was completely different. I was told that I am not able to do a fill and that my gel X nails needs to be removed completely. I had let them know that my natural nail is very thin and I don't want the nail to be removed and they still insisted that it has to be removed.. I agreed because I have an event I needed to get my nails done however they still charged me for Nail removal, even though it was by their request that they remove my nails., such a ridiculous experience. This was my second time at this salon, and I was quite excited because my first time was great. I want to start off by saying I don't have an issue with the quality of the work. But the service I received today was very subpar. I was directed to a pedicure chair that had an employees items on it, so I didn't feel comfortable sitting down. They saw me standing there but didn't care to ask if I needed help, & instead ignored me. My manicure felt rushed, which I understand happens, but it doesn't feel good when you're on the other side of the chair looking for a relaxing experience. I also never once got offered any type of beverage, which is frustrating when I'm seeing every other client getting drinks served to them. I'm typically not one to complain or leave bad reviews, but I felt very let down today. I also hate to bring ethnicity into my review, but as a Latina, when I put myself into a predominantly white environment and notice that I'm not receiving the same level of service, it really does make one feel belittled. I came in to get my nails done for my birthday, and I considered it a bit of a splurge considering the prices for this salon are a bit higher. In my opinion, generally speaking, the prices do match the service so I am understanding of that. But with the experience I had today, I feel like I could've gone to a more affordable salon & received the same level of service for a fraction of the price. I mentioned most of this to the receptionist upfront when I was paying, and she did apologize to me as well as offered me a cuticle oil which was kind of her. I've been seeing Jasmine since 2020 and followed her from the first location (walkable from my house) to Maison de Beauté (25 min drive) because her work is exceptional! I get hard gel, and in nearly 5 years, I've had 1, maybe 2 nail breaks (I actually remember one-I cracked closing my overstuffed suitcase). This most recent fill I went 10 weeks--TEN! No chips, cracks, or lifting. If it weren't for the egregious outgrowth they would have looked nearly perfect. (Note: I don't recommend 10 weeks! Haha) If you're still getting regular gel, I'm here to tell you, make the change to hard gel. It's a low cost upgrade for much longer lasting manicure. This is now my go-to nail salon! Maison De Beaute aka Maison Nail Spa has a prime location that's walkable to the heart of Old Town Pasadena, which makes it quite convenient. All the staff there are always so sweet, welcoming, and skilled. They're very thorough and consistently do a great job with my nails. I also appreciate the wide range of color options and how clean and well-lit the salon is...it feels fresh and inviting every time I visit. A small but thoughtful detail I love is that they always remember to offer me a drink once I sit down, which isn't something all salons are consistent about. Oh I forgot to mention that it's also super easy to book a reservation via their online booking system. If I had one minor very small complaint, it would be that parking in the area can sometimes be tricky. But they do their best to provide clear instructions on nearby lots and structures, which helps. Please have better communication from the front desk to the nail tech. I told the front desk exactly what I wanted and even showed the nail tech but I guess she did not fully understand, I told her I want this color but this length and both photos did have a different style but that's why I clarified it. Apparently she thought I was doing French tip and I assumed she was going to cut my nails more ( as requested from my photo) .. a bit shorter but she did not. Then when it came time for the scrub treatment that I would pay extra for she did not even know I was doing that either because the front desk did not communicate that. It's kind of upsetting when you're paying extra and this was my first visit here. Overall, yes nice staff (even though they seemed a little checked out) and environment but the service and communication is not matching. read more

This review is long overdue, but since it was my birthday month, I decided to treat myself to some "me time." I usually prefer simple Japanese GelX nails with a French tip, but for this month, I wanted to switch things up. I typically avoid crystals, pearls, or embellishments since they don't hold up well with my semi-hands-on lifestyle, but I'm crossing my fingers this design and the crystals will last. I booked my appointment through the app for 11:15 a.m., but shortly after, I received a text asking to push it to 11:45 a.m. so the artist could have extra time. That adjustment was fine with me. I arrived about 5-10 minutes early, was offered water, and waited for my turn. Since it was taking longer than expected, the receptionist/nail artist kindly prepped my nails so my artist could begin right away once available. The client before me appeared to be an influencer or vlogger, equipped with both a 360° camera and a portable camera. With the camera so close, I tried to keep conversation to a minimum. As a result, my appointment, originally set for 11:15 a.m., didn't begin until closer to 12:00 p.m. I debated which nail shape to go with and ultimately chose ballerina. I had a reference image, and the artist executed it beautifully--I was impressed with her work. The process took about 2.5 hours, partly due to the extended session before me. Overall, my experience was fine. The artist's skill and attention to detail were excellent, but the scheduling delay was frustrating. Although I understand it wasn't the artist's fault, it would have been nice to receive a small discount or gesture to make up for the inconvenience. read more

I have been to Maison Nail Spa twice now, and even though it's about an hour drive from where I live, I don't want to go to any other nail salon. Both times, I was well taken care of by Anna. She is so sweet, patient, professional, detailed with her work, a great listener and an excellent artist! You can show her an inspiration picture and she will get it just right. On my first visit I got gel-X extensions with design, and the second visit I got gel overlay with design, and I have been so happy with the result both times. The salon as a whole is very clean, warm and bright, and organized. I love that they ask you to wash your hands first, and they use clean tools. Making an appointment was a breeze. They also offer a complementary drink when you arrive. I would recommend arriving early to allow time to find parking, but there's plenty of food and cafes to enjoy nearby after you're done! read more

Wow love this place! I feel like I always go to gloss nails so that means I never go anywhere. Until now! Loved the range of prices and that no pressure to get designs or go crazy. However I did do the cat eye and I'm in love. I'm regretting not getting my toes the same. I couldn't decide and the extra charge I couldn't stomach. However totally worth it. Next time. The chair has a petite and tall option which is amazing! They are so polite and nice and welcoming. Oh and also best part it's clean!! I'd recommend for sure! In total I spent about and hour and a half here and spent about 125, 70 for the manicure because of the cat eye thing. And 55 for some deluxe spa with 6 min massage.
