He kept telling us that he hates going into South Beach (then why did you offer to bring us there, you stupid jerk?) and how it's so crowded there and he kept saying "I wouldn't try to jip you, it's MY cab number, MY cab number!" He said that about 150 times and at this point, I wanted to shoot myself in the head. My husband got irritated with him and told him that he can drop us off here because we don't want to spend over $35 for a cab ride, he was doing all these U-turns and it was irritating us so finally he said that he'll split the cost and won't charge us moreo than $35, the total came to $40 something but we only gave him $35, no tip. Just because we're out-of-towners, it doesn't mean you can push us around thinking we don't know you're a sketch ball who just wants more money from us. From all my terrible cab experiences in Florida, I can say now that I don't like Florida anymore, it was my second home for a long time and now i hate it.

Driver had a flat tire, ok but still should call so we can make another arrangement. We decided to give them another chance upon our return flight. Again no car there and we had to call multiple times to even get ahold of anyone. Once we finally got someone to answer the phone, they said it would be another 20-30 minutes before the driver would arrive. The whole point of a car service is so you don't need to wait. What a joke!

We asked for help with transportation- were told it would be about 30 minutes for pick up. I asked how much it would cost and was told it was meter based with no other details. Grateful for a ride and not expecting it to be more than $60 for a 25 minute drive we decided to wait. After 40 minutes I called to see if they were still coming and was told yes about 10-15 more minutes - 20 minutes later the driver showed up so total wait time was 1 hour NOT 30 minutes. The driver made passes over a double yellow line which did not make me feel very safe and then when we did arrive the bill was $110. I told him i felt that was too high so he called his boss who offered me a discount to pay $100 (which to me is still outrageous but apparently we had to pay the meter for his 1 hr drive to pick us up with out being told that ahead of time?) the person on the phone argued with me about the timing and said we only waited 40 minutes which is not true.. I called at 12:38, 1:08 and was picked up ay 1:40, arrived at 2:01 and was billed an outrageous amount. Being out of state, here for a funeral we have a lot going on and too many emotions to argue further. The driver and I also did not speak the same language so I didn't want to take it out on him so I paid and moved on. I hope other people see this and decide to book a different way as this does not seem ethical to me. Actually, I think I will continue to post until the company decides to make it right. Took a cab from the airport when our Lyft driver could not find us after circling for 10 minutes and eventually canceling the $25 ride to our hotel 11 miles away. This cab was sitting right across the entrance from where we were standing, so we hopped in. There are signs posted in the cab and on the tablet in the backseat stating how their pricing works, which I appreciate, and I did the math multiple times in my head and on my phone, while using my GPS to ensure that we were heading toward the actual hotel (I'm a relatively young woman in a strange city, I'm overly cautious). 11 miles, exactly as expected, and he followed the exact 11 mile route. Cool. Should have been about $32, even adding in for stuff like it being the van instead of the car, starting from the airport, etc. I wish I had been able to find where the meter was running before I did, but it was buried pretty deep in the tablet in the backseat, because by the time I found it when we were halfway there, it was already past where it should have been. By the time we arrived at our hotel, we ended up paying $53.27, which was a fair bit more than what I had calculated repeatedly. I didn't want to ruin our day, and I somewhat feel they are counting on people not caring enough to have done the math, but it's still a bit sketchy in my opinion. I ended up paying cash since I wasn't about to give this company my debit card info. Either I severely misunderstood how they calculate cab fare (which is double the cost of a Lyft), or he started the meter well before we were actually in the picture and charged us for the time he was waiting to FIND a fare. Either way, we will take our chances with Lyft next time, at least they are upfront with their pricing.
