I had an initial appointment at Create Fitness and I was shocked at the monthly charge from $300- $1149/ month. Beware of gyms that will not tell you up front the cost of the gym. The only purpose of the assessment was to tell me how much I needed Create Fitness to improve my strength. The trainer had nothing positive to say and I have been working-out for over 4 years. Create Fitness was a great experience for me. I'm a 63 year old woman with extremely bad knees/legs. All the trainers and other members were super supportive. The trainers were always willing to work with me and show me modifications for the exercises. I was only there a few months, but in that time I gained a lot of strength and confidence and also lost weight. I am getting ready for knee replacement surgery so had to quit for now..but the gym helped me prepare. My surgeon is very happy with where I am so I'm ready! I hope to be back once I have healed up from my surgery and can return to strength training. In June 2022 I responded to a Facebook ad advertising the chance to win free workouts, I believe it was supposed to be some sort of lottery? I went in for the initial (free) consultation and they didn't even mention the promotion or say I was being entered into it or anything, they just made their pitch and shared pricing info. VERY high prices, and yes, I have been a member at similar gyms and, actually, in areas with pricier real estate, so the cost seems unnecessarily high. (Similar gyms being Iron Tribe in Redmond, WA and IanFitness in Seattle.) I did sign up and pay for one month at an introductory/promotion price. However, about halfway through the month I found out I was pregnant. I asked if I could suspend my month and pick it up after I was able to meet with my OB/GYN. Since I was just starting exercise again after not really moving much during the pandemic, I wanted to get the all-clear and identify where I should be keeping my heart rate with the baby's health in mind. The answer I got from George at Create Fitness was "working out is actually good for your pregnancy" and that he wasn't open to being flexible on when I used the classes that I had already paid for (I had paid for a certain number per week that would expire on a given date. All I wanted was to temporarily stop the clock and push the date out). I don't understand why this was an issue, and definitely don't appreciate that George felt confident giving medical advice he's not qualified to give. All in all, not a great experience. read more

This is just my 3rd week. I have never stepped foot in any gym in 35 years. This last 3 weeks had been my happiest moments. I am seeing so many changers in my body already. The 1:1 meeting with George was a great start. He was very thorough, kind and helpful. His trainers are exceptionally professional. There were some sets they had to find substitute for me as I am still learning the moves. Very pleasant and approachable. I haven't stepped on the scale yet. waiting for 30 days, but I am able to fit into my 2 size less tops and my stomach doesn't bloat at all. I had a bit of hunch back due to office work, now it's all disappeared. And this is just in 3 weeks, which is like 2-3 sessions per week. I am now aiming to spend 4-5 sessions per week and work towards achieving my set goals. Highly recommending Creative Fitness Kent- Puyallup to anyone. My health and physics are important to this age. I was a member a couple of years ago, but I can't imagine too much changing negatively. I started with an appointment with George who recommended I try out the small group sessions instead of signing up for personal training like I initially wanted after completing a 'baseline' workout session. The coaches I worked with were all amazing, supportive, and would give effective feedback during the session as well as conversate before and after class to give a more personal feel. Small group sessions were awesome as it was the same 4-5 people so the gym wasn't crowded and everyone knew each other. I don't like deceptive practices. The website for this gym has a section called pricing. When you click on it, it instructs to provide your contact info and in return, the pricing will be sent to you. I reluctantly provided my info and instead of the promised pricing information, I received multiple requests to consult. When I responded that I just want the pricing, I was told that the pricing is tailored to each person's needs. If they don't have a simple pricing sheet to share, then they shouldn't suggest as much on their website. Maybe I'm overreacting, but I feel like they set an expectation and didn't deliver on it. In my opinion, that's not a great way to generate new customers. read more

You can tell the owner takes pride in his gym. He has everything well organized and every piece of equipment has a purpose and a function. I had become lethargic and lazy due to Covid-19 and needed someone to hold me accountable and get me back into shape. George was very open to options and work with me on a plan that is flexible since we are still in Phase 1. The gym is not fully back open. So you'll have to pay a premium for access. But is there a price to your physical and mental health in this environment? You can tell he disinfects everything. He also wears a face mask and keeps social distancing while doing PT. Well worth it, IMHO. A lot cheaper to do Iron therapy than sitting down with a shrink. All of the equipment is modern and there are no signs of extreme wear and tear. He also has a formal education and background in PT and nutrition, so it's not coming from some overweight person from 24 or LA Fitness or Big Box Gym. Highly recommended!!! read more

I came from a place of very poor physical fitness and I've never felt judged. Create Fitness is the game changer I've been missing in my life! The workouts are challenging, sweat inducing, and make you feel like a champion when you complete them. George really wanted to step up his game with the new location and it shows with the amazing turf, blacktop, weighted bars, ski urns, assault bikes, and rowers. They also offer protein, supplements and healthy ready made meals provided by Mr. FitMeals that you can pick up weekly! You can also get monthly assessments measuring your weight, inches and fat loss and it's the perfect opportunity to talk about your nutrition and goals. Last but not least, the leadership is second to none. As I said previously, George is one of those people who can light a fire under you and keep you motivated when the going gets tough. When he trains a class, he walks by everyone and encourages them by name, correcting their form in a nice way or giving them a atta boy/girl. Courtney is so bubbly and full of energy! Her phrase is Let's get this or let's do this and it motivates me every time! Michelle is so sweet and she like George walks around encouraging and correcting form when necessary. Alisha is wonderful and pushes you to dig deeper or hold a position longer when you want to quit. Best gym and trainers in the area!! So good that I even had my husband join me. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and encouraging. Create offers a variety of work outs ( TABATA, strength training, resistance etc ) in team, small group, and personal one on one training. These work outs are no joke, you will definitely be sore yet see results!! Although the work outs are not an easy feat the trainers will push you towards a strong finish and even modify them for you if you have injuries or pain in areas. You will find a huge support system here. George really cares about all his members and is the friendliest guy around. During the pandemic he really outshined all the other gyms by being supportive through sending members equipment and having multiple ways to be accessible. From the first day I walked into Create Fitness I was treated like family. I was at a point where I had abandoned my workout routine and lacked a gym community to keep me motivated. I been going to this gym for almost 3 months and I think I have found was I was looking for. In here I found great coaches that really care about you reaching your goals. My goal is to loose weight for a more healthy me. Since I started I have lost 20 pounds while getting stronger. I even surprise myself about how strong I am. The kind of exercises are challenging but doable and every class is different. The classses are kept small and coaches make sure that we do the exercises correctly.
