Very poor communication. Nobody managing the project. Took over a year. Roofers were a complete joke and terribly unsafe. They dropped 3 sheets of plywood off my second story roof, knocking down their ladder. Called solar guys back to fix a problem but they didnt have anyone because they were all out doing new installs. I had Matthew Godman review my utility usage and was nervous at first because of previous reviews and online articles about door to door representatives. After their analysis with a SolarEdge battery backup I am able to save over 50% on my utilities and didn't have to pay anything out of pocket with more energy to use for an electric vehicle and my pool. Awful, awful, awful. The installers completely messed up my house during installation and got bits of the roof all over the floors, the beds, the desks, kitchentop counters, everything. They said they'd fix it and did a half-assed job just in the living area floor and left stains on the countertops. There is still bits of the stuff all over the dining room table, my bed, and the third bedroom. They claimed that they had to leave immediately and disappeared on me after they promised they would show up the next day and lend me a mini-vac to clean the rest of it up and they never showed up. My agent tried to call them, no response. I called FF directly and they said no incident was logged and I wouldn't get a response for two additional days. WTF. read more

The problems below are all caused by Freedom's lack of attention to detail. This has become a complete nightmare and a complete waste of time & MONEY. I completely regret working with them. ​ They have submitted wrong paperwork over and over, don't bother calling or emailing, they won't help you.... If you are already locked in with NEM or a roofing project - They will string you along for MONTHS. AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. ​ HOUSE #1 DECEMBER - Freedom lost & submitted the permits incorrectly multiple times. Currently in a loop on "demo permits & inspection" - Permits originally lost in DECEMBER OF 2023. STILL NOTHING. The housing authority says they have submitted incorrect paperwork, missing information etc. ​ HOUSE #2 There is TRASH & old roofing materials sitting on my roof for over 2 months. The renters are now asking to be reimbursed for the # of times they have been inconvenienced by "hosting" inspectors, contractors, roofers, electricians, noise of all of the traffic on the roof, street parking, neighbors are complaining about the constant flow of people in the small & private neighborhood. The HOA is already contacting the renters & sending fines for the construction eyesores. BIG MISTAKE.... The two below properties have NEM paperwork/submissions mismatched. FREEDOM MESSED UP THE ORIGINAL NEM 2.0 SUBMISSION(S)- We notified Freedom multiple times. Freedom mixed up the two properties and NEVER fixed them. They submitted two applications for the SAME property. Now SCE will not honor the mix-up as we have "no record of a NEM application" for property #3. ​ HOUSE #3 Roofing contractors broke our HVAC. Nightmare to get it reimbursed. March 17th, Freedom team submitted Southern California Edison paperwork with the wrong address. SCE confirm it was canceled by Freedom. WE TOLD FREEDOM MONTHS AGO THAT THE PAPERWORK WAS COMPLETED INCORRECTLY. -No one checked if this was ever fixed. HOUSE #4 2/24 - Installed MONTHS AGO- Still not turned on-- WHY!?!? Because the city inspector has been out 3 times now. Failed inspection again, again and again. SCE is stating they messed up the NEM paperwork on this one too! read more

With most everyone already in the service business, it is with gratitude that FF and Mr Chavez step into the breach and exceed normal expectations of good service. I was out of state when notified of the final county inspection, couldn't know what/how to accommodate the inspector who wouldn't stipulate thru email channel the inspection terms, and was vying against the time clock and potential rain-out to mete against the unknown. We were expecting headwinds and who-knows-what then Mr Chavez showed up, steadied my local representative who had little guidance, installed all needed Smoke/CO detectors, and helped satisfy the county inspector to deliver passage (whilst I was windowing in from thousands of miles away thru my 6-1/2" screen). This company has been a complete pain to work with. The process of getting solar installed started back in September. It is now 8 months later and I am still dealing with getting everything complete. No part of the process has been completed without requiring multiple calls or emails from me to them. Most recent issue was someone had to come out to "repair" the system as it was not fully hooked up correctly. They forgot to turn it back on. They are now coming back out almost a week later to turn it on. And it required a call from me to even get the fact that it was left off brought to their attention and an appointment made. We started making monthly payments in May of 2023. Not only was I making the monthly solar payment and our monthly SCE electrical bill. It gets worse, we finally have our solar the roof isn't finished. They left us with 2 different roof styles. They didn't keep the tile to fill in once solar panels were installed. Highly recommend avoiding this company. They are mismanaged, and disorganized. They employ cut rate subcontractors that are overworked and difficult to deal with. The sales force will under quote and then ask for a change order (more money) to finish the job. I started a project with them in Oct 2022, received PTO in July 2023. FF made many mistakes along the way starting from the original quotation, permitting, contractor, equipment (e.g., installed an incorrect main power panel that had to be replaced) installation errors (e.g., sub panel had to be removed, junction box had to be rewired, etc.) to finish work (e.g., plastering and painting). Very painful process working with them. Now the system under-produces (sized at 4.8Kw, producing 3.6Kw). In spite of the "production guarantee" FF customer support was done nothing and does not return phone calls. read more

They responded to an online ad I'd fallen for. They SEEMED OK at first. But THEN their field-rep took the liberty of speaking on MY behalf WITHOUT my saying he SHOULD and I WASNT EVEN THERE to SCE (my power company)! Telling them (or my electrician) that I was going to need a MUCH bigger breaker box bc I was going Solar. Mind you, I was having my box redone bc some OTHER dipstick broke my meter off the pole- and it had taken over a MONTH to get a NEW meter put in and ALL the permits, inspections, etc. had me in hotels.. and THESE SCHMUCKS (Freedom Forever) tries telling them I was going to need a DIFFERENT ONE?! Everyone on our installation team the "Juice Crew" was fantastic. The team was professional, efficient and friendly explaining exactly what would be happening on our installation day. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their work and got along really well as a team! When it came time for our final inspection our site tech Tyrone was equally fantastic keeping us informed of exactly what would happen that day and ensuring the project was 100% up to par and that our installation received final approval so we were good to go! We had one of the worst experience with a sales rep. First off the rep was in plain clothes and only after having to ask twice what company he worked for did i get to Freedom Forever. When setting the appointment the rep had mentioned he would come back with a design ready and we could discuss numbers, pretty standard. The rep comes about 30mins early to the appointment the next day.... and proceeds to not be ready. I had to step out and my mother-in-law stayed to discuss with him. The rep proceeds to ask for my wifi because he has not done the design yet..... While this might be a trivial thing for some, i work from home with sensitive data, thus my home network is protected and not just given out to anyone. When i explain to him that i cannot give my wifi out, he proceeds to lie and say "well i already have your moms social security number haha". This did not sit well with me at all. When i called my mother in law to as if she gave her social to the sales reps, she says not and i hear the rep in the background yell "not yet". Not sure what type of business this is where having a rep like that is acceptable... I rush home at this point to ask them to leave, and proceed to get push back from the reps saying "well the title is on your mother-in-laws name too" i this point i was livid and proceeded to push for them to leave at that instant..... Once the rep left there was no apology.... A "director" came back to explain the guy was young (21) and shouldnt have made those comments. Young or not having someone be the face of your company should not conduct themselves in this manner.... read more

If I knew at first, I would have never choose Freedom Forever! I started my contract since Mar, and now is Dec. my system is still not turned on. I started to pay on Sep, and Freedom Forever said they will reimburse if system is not turned on. First, I need the solar panel to work, second, I didn't get the reimbursement. And every time when I call customer service, they always tell me, they will review the ticket in 48 hours, which they don't . And again, my system is not turned on, nothing is fixed after 9 months. The initial installation was awesome. We were informed and the process was timely. The issue began when we had a problem with the system. Here is a summary: March 30th- solar began operating April 8th- system shutdown May 6th- One month after system shut down was first day someone could come out. He reviewed the issue was able to turn system to 50% production but required a roofer to come out and assist with the problem. By the way 50% production is not enough to cover our daily usage. June 2nd- again the earliest someone could get out, this time 2 technicians came but no roofer. I was told they needed a roofer and would need to reschedule. I asked to speak to someone in charge at this point and spoke to Nathan. I was informed a technician and roofer would be out on June 10th. Two more weeks. June 10th- I get a call from the technician that the roofer was I'll and they would have to reschedule. I sent an e-mail to Nathan but as of this writing have not heard back from him. I called on the 13th and 14th to speak to Nathan. I left messages for him to call me both times. On the 14th I was told he was out I'll. I was told on the 13th that I was scheduled for 28th. Amazing. It will be 3 months since solar production began and we've only had 100% production for about 10 days. My electrical bill is continuing to add up. Hopefully the problem will finally be resolved on the 28th. read more

Lesson learned, check ratings before going with a company and best not to go through a broker! It has been 3 months since the solar panels were installed. The panels cannot even be turned on since they are still working on a structural observation letter for the city to approve. As far as I know that is still the issue, since you cannot get any assistance at all from the customer service call center in Las Vegas. At this point we are paying for solar financing and electricity as well. From day 1 there has been one issue after another, I even heard they are changing management within the company. I did this because I didn't know a lot about the topic but also because I quickly realized most didn't know much about what they were selling. Between the signing of the contract to the activation of my system, every call, text and e-mail was answered quickly - the level of response never changed, even after they had my money.
