The problem: Our garage door was jacked up. Even worse, this happened the Monday after we got 8 inches of snow/ice in Durham. He was able to come out the next day at the time promised. He took a look at the situation, explained the repair, showed me the price (a fraction of what I was prepared to hear), and got to work. It's not very often that I submit a review but I felt compelled to take a few minutes to share how responsive Freedmon Garage Door was to me when I called. We have a garage door opener that was not closed. I don't remember who a spoke to but he took the time to give a few key suggestions to assess the issue with the door. I gotta hand it to these guys, from start to finish they did a OUTSTANDING job on my garage door repair. We had a bit of a malfunction when our garage door spring decided to come loose from the wall because the company who built our townhouse 10 years ago did crappy work (shocking). Anyways, the spring managed to bust the door, a window on the garage door and destroy the center track the garage door travels along all in one go. When getting estimates you know it's bad when the guys looking it over say it's the worst they've ever seen. We had 3 quotes and the first two just dismissed the whole situation as a complete write off. Basically they wanted to sell us a entirely new garage door which is, if you are ever in the market for one, not a very affordable option. Aladdin Garage Door company took a honest look at the project and bid us a reasonable price to replace the garage door opener itself along with some tune up work on the side rails. The outcome was fantastic as our garage door went from sounding like a freight train slamming on the breaks to a quiet breeze in a meadow. Now the real "above and beyond" part of this story comes with the window that was busted on the garage door. As part of the price the company owner (Tim) agreed to replace the window on the garage door itself. This became problematic as the window frame was busted and is now out of production. Tim had searched high and low looking for a replacement frame but ended up just replacing the glass after 3 separate trips to our home (not including the first 2 trips to bid the job and install the opener) trying to find a solution for us. The amount of time and effort Tim put into making sure the problem was addressed just isn't something you see with a lot of companies, employees and....lets face it....small business owners in general. The fix is not good as new but I completely understand it will have to suffice until we can find a replacement frame for that particular garage door. I would highly recommend Aladdin Garage Doors for any problems whatsoever you have with your garage door as the owner Tim is amazing! Oh, and if all that doesn't take the cake, our next door neighbor had the same issue with their garage door spring setup being poorly attached but it just hadn't busted yet. Tim took the time to grab a couple extra lag bolts and drill them in to the framework for them at no additional charge. Friday, December 18, we woke up to find that we were 'trapped' in our garage because the overhead garage door spring had broken. The double door is made of wood and very heavy so we couldn't even lift it manually which was bad news since we were hoping to make an early start up to DC to visit our son and his family for an early Christmas. We searched online ('Googled') to find someone who could fix this kind of thing quickly. We called Aladdin Doors of Raleigh because their ad said they specialized in this sort of thing. Tim and Alvin were already on their way to another job but because we needed help in a hurry, they stopped by our place within 30 minutes from the time I called and had it fixed in less than an hour! They had the parts they needed on hand and worked quickly to get the door working again. We had Tim stop by on Sunday 1/21/18 to replace our garage door. We had an old idrive unit from dalton watson that was no longer consistently functional. These guys are awesome. I called about 4pm on 1/29/18 due to the spring on our garage door breaking and not being able to use it. They made me an appointment for the next day 1/30/18 and gave me a time between 10am and noon. (Which a 2 hour window is great because you don't have to sit around and wait for someone to come when a company gives you a time of say, 1-5. Then your entire day is shot.) But at around 10am Tim called and said he'd be at my house in about 45 minutes. When he got here he explained everything he was going to do and also told me the best route to go. He ended up putting in a high volume spring seeing that we use this particular garage door to enter and exit our home and it goes up and down an average of 8 times a day. I didn't know that they had a spring for that volume and it comes with a 10 year warranty instead of a 4 year warranty. Tim was very friendly and professional. I'd definitely recommend them and hopefully I won't have to call them anytime soon, but if I do I won't hesitate to use them again. read more

Had a spring brake on the main door used as entry into our house, this was a Thursday night. We had just received a coupon mailer in the mail that had a couple coupons for repairs and instillation on garage doors. Called on Friday late afternoon, they came on Saturday morning!
