Despite that, the problem keeps coming back. I don't leave high‑draw accessories plugged in, and this started very early in the car's life. At around 10,000 miles I reported the problem to Subaru during scheduled service, so there is a documented history. I've since learned that this is not an isolated fluke: Law firms and owners are pursuing class‑action cases alleging that Subaru Solterra and Toyota bZ4X models have a defective 12‑volt system that lets the small auxiliary battery drain and die prematurely, leaving drivers stranded even with plenty of charge in the main pack.
