We've been visiting Rebel Sports almost every year since 2016, and one of the main reasons we keep…read morecoming back is because they're the only place that carries the adorable trike that our kids absolutely love riding. Unfortunately, this year's experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was lacking. There was only one person at the desk, and the interactions felt dry, impersonal, and unwelcoming. We were initially told the trike was not available to rent. Later, another employee outside said it actually was. After explaining that we've rented the same trike nearly every year, they finally agreed to let us rent it. About 30 minutes into our ride, the trike's brake suddenly snapped open on its own. There was no collision, no crash, no impact--nothing that would reasonably explain a mechanical failure. Because the brake no longer worked, my 12-year-old daughter had to manually roll the trike back for nearly two hours, completely ruining what was supposed to be a fun family bike day. What disappointed us even more was how the situation was handled when we returned. Instead of showing any empathy, apologizing for the equipment failure, or offering a discount or credit for the ruined rental, we were immediately blamed for damaging the brake. Any reasonable person would ask: how is a rider responsible for a brake mechanically coming apart without any accident or impact? Rather than standing behind their equipment, Rebel Sports chose to argue over a brake issue that appeared to require nothing more than a pair of pliers and a few seconds to reconnect. We had traveled all the way from Texas and were parked far away--otherwise, we likely could have fixed it ourselves. Eventually, I realized it simply wasn't worth continuing the argument. I was prepared to pay $10, $20, $50, $100--or even buy the trike outright--just to end the discussion and move on. The cost was never the issue. What bothered me was the principle. A minor mechanical problem exposed what felt like an unfair, unprofessional, and unethical approach to customer service. Rather than treating a loyal customer with understanding and goodwill, the focus was on assigning blame over what appeared to be an obvious equipment failure. We've always believed in supporting local, family-owned businesses, and that's exactly why we've continued coming back for nearly a decade. But supporting small businesses should never come at the expense of fairness, accountability, honesty, and respect for customers. This experience left us genuinely disappointed, and unless customer service and accountability improve, we'll have to reconsider returning after so many years of making Rebel Sports part of our family trips.

While in downtown Frisco, my boyfriend and I decided to inquire about renting 2 bikes as we saw…read morethere was an inviting paved bike path nearby that others were enjoying. We weren't offered various types of bikes initially but were shown the E-bikes and told that they closed at 8pm and we would be charged when we get back. We returned our bikes 45 mins later as the sun was going down and we were pretty cold in the wind. We are charged $140 for two bikes for 45 mins.. 30 mins later realizing this seemed like a lot, we called them to inquire. They told us over the phone that we were charged for a minimum of 2 hours rental and this is the policy. We were surprised that nobody mentioned this when we were renting or when we returned them as we would've just rode around awhile longer. They also did not offer to refund anything or to let us come back another time for an hour since this wasn't explained to us. We will go somewhere else next time that is more clear on what's going on.

The ride down the river included beautiful scenery, hot springs, bald eagles, rock jumps and a lot of history. My six-year-olds had a blast and wanted to stay for more. This will likely be one of the greatest highlights of our trip. Everyone we met was friendly and talkative...not to mention experienced and very knowledgeable.

Now there is a unique adventurer and his posse who call them selves "Paddle Colorado" these men guide adventurous couples, families, dogs and yes small children through the mighty Colorado safely through the Colorado River.... Truly a experience that all adventurous people nearby should take part in. "Paddle Colorado" guided our family through the great 1/2 day trip of the mighty Colorado. Fun ... was the name and safety was there motto! If anyone out there has an interest in having more then just a float down the river then "Paddle Colorado" is the place to book! Couldn't have been any easier as was on the water in minutes to meet up with my friends who jump on the lake from the boat ramp. They had free lockers to keep your backpack in + free waterproof bags in case you wanted to take your phone with you or any other valuable. Was a perfect calm morning and Dylan was great helping take the board in once we were done. Glad we chose them as we were sure which part of the lake to rent from or where to go, being from out of town. Sure you might have more islands to paddle around if rented on the Frisco side, but we loved being the only ones around in the late morning and had a great time paddling across to the shore + down and around the first inlet. Couldn't have been happier + 2 hrs gives you a lot more time that you think. Plenty of time. A quick reminder that the rental shack is at the end of the marina after you walk past the public restrooms and other little shops.
