An amazing experience! Bill was very personable and accommodated every one of our needs on our half day trip. We were picked up in Frisco and didn't have to worry about anything but remembering our swimsuits. Scott was our guide and his enthusiasm was perfect for the adults as well as the kids. The ride down the river included beautiful scenery, hot springs, bald eagles, rock jumps and a lot of history. My six-year-olds had a blast and wanted to stay for more. Scott and Doug were amazing! My brother, dad and I were able to jump off of a cliff into safe, deep water with Doug. We also stopped on the river to go see an old log cabin from miners that used to live in the area. They are a small business and you can tell by how much they do everything themselves. Scott and Doug were very knowledgeable and gave me nothing to worry about while rafting! Will definitely recommend to others! read more

We spent a total of 10 days in Colorado last summer and our trip down the river was the highlight of our journey. After being picked up at our hotel, and a beautiful drive to the river, we were told a dog named Eddie would be joining us on the raft. My kids were beyond excited. We did the full day trip and everything went fantastic. We went on the 4th of July and we owned the river. I had our kids convinced I reserved the entire Colorado river just for them. Paddle Colorado was awesome! A great deal, amazing views, and an attentive staff that unlike other rafting companies didn't rush us through our paddle. We went on a full day, which I highly recommend. The food for lunch was great! The views were amazing! We saw eagles, geese, dinosaur prints, hot springs, and amazing vistas. There was even a shuttle to and from the Frisco area included. I wouldn't use any other paddling company -- this is THE best! read more

Great trip! Scott (our guide) was personable and professional. I've been on many raft trips in Colorado, and I can definitely say he was my favorite guide. He was also very conscientious about safety and that everyone in our party was comfortable. We had a great time on the river and enjoyed the beautiful Colorado scenery. The lunch was great, too. It was a very busy Saturday morning on the river when the Paddle Colorado van driver Bill dropped us off to meet our river guide Scott. (Unlike most raft companies, PC picks you up in a very convenient location just off I70 in Frisco where their courteous driver takes you on a scenic, educational, and comfortable drive to the launch point.) Despite a flat tire on the raft trailer that delayed our start a few minutes, Scott was unfazed and proceeded to give us all a humorous and entertaining safety explanation while expertly fitting us in our PFDs. Scott had remembered how much I enjoyed floating on a ducky last year and had one waiting for me at the river bank. Thanks Scott! In minutes we were off and beginning our floating adventure on the mighty Colorado. Despite the river traffic, Scott soon had us all feeling as though we were the only ones on the river while pointing out interesting features and sharing river stories. While the other rafting companies were busy racing clients down the river, we took our time floating, soaking in the amazing Colorado mountain scenery, and making new friends. But just as we got too comfortable, we were soon in our first canyon and navigating several heart pumping rapids. The guides knew just the right lines to maximize our excitement yet never giving the feeling of unnecessary danger. Our first stop was at a hot springs to soak for a while. Scott never made us feel rushed or hurried, unlike some previous river experiences. Our next stop was a rock cliff towering above the river. For those lacking a fear of heights and a 'refreshing' mountain water splash, our guide was able to coax several fellow rafters into a jump of a lifetime. Back on the river and more incredible scenery, history, wildlife, and relaxation as the river swiftly meanders through forest and sage. River rafting sure builds an appetite, and just as my hunger reached an apex, Scott announced we were going to stop for lunch. Before I knew it, two rustic picnic tables had been transformed into an incredible lunch buffet of fresh cold cuts, breads, cheeses, veggies, salads, fruits, home baked cookies, and so much more. What an amazing spread! Back on the river and fortunately we had a few more miles of tranquil drifting while lunch was digesting before another canyon and another set of raucous rapids that got our adrenaline pumping. As the river smoothed out, Scott introduced us to River Rodeo that kept us all very entertained. After an interesting hike to view our prehistoric history, we were all too soon at our journeys end. Paddle Colorado is all about customer service and the river experience. They pay attention to the details. I highly recommend spending a day with them! read more
