Pro (not plural): 1/ CLOSENESS to Bart. And the mall, I…read moreguess (not for me, but if you like shopping at Nordstroms I'll admit it's convenient for that). Cons (so, so many): 1/ ABSOLUTELY NO AMENITIES, you're not getting anything you'd expect from current complexes: - no gym/workout amenities - no social amenities (lounges, etc) - no amenities for children (no play areas) - no amenities for pets (no pet park, no bathing area... hope your dog likes doing their business on busy Tenderloin streets) 2/ LOUD, CONSTANT NOISE: - drummers & skateboarders are always right outside window - you do NOT get used to it, and it wears on you - Bart plays loud music from speakers starting at 5am 3/ NO FRONT DESK OR ANY ON-SITE STAFF: - packages WILL get stolen, regularly: delivery folks will leave your package on the lobby floor, and given no front desk anyone can wander in and take it - food pick up sucks: no place to drop off stuff, and given the busy street you have to perfectly time the pickup yourself (good luck!) 4/ GROSSLY HOT units: - almost all units face the hot, southern sun, and those big windows allow in lots of heat while only opening a few inches and letting in NO breeze - no private balcony/patios available for most units. the only shared patio on 7th floor is small, dirty, and perpetually shaded, so you won't want to spend any time here - no ceiling fans/any heat mitigation 5/ ELEVATORS BREAK ALL THE TIME: - only two elevators for ALL residents & freight, w/regular bottlenecks as one elevator is taken out of service for moving, maintenance, etc - both elevators have broken down multiple times recently, very often only one will be working at a given time (hopefully no one is moving!) 6/ EXPENSIVE ENERGY & UTILITIES: - Setup here means higher fixed costs (which management WILL pass on to you). You will probably save over $100 on just utilities in a different location. - high ceilings will 2x your energy/electric costs, so factor that into your rent cost. 7/ DYSTOPIAN, UGLY AREA (esp nowadays): - the ONLY entrance is on Cyril Magnin St (NOT Powell)-- and it's a busy, dirty side street/alley - garbage, vomit, other disgusting stuff is strewn outside the front door ALL THE TIME - since covid all the nice "local" restaurants & places have closed down, leaving only a smattering of big, boring retail-- and given wfh increase there's no longer any value in this location noawadys 8/ DELIVERY SUCKS HERE: - there's no accommodation for delivery drivers like modern complexes - the (remaining) business (AT&T, Burger King) put their trash outside daily (so you'll wake up & come back home to your entire street littered with burger wrappers & AT&T shit) - the hotels on the block (Parc 55 & Axiom) will take up any remaining space for "valet" parking (so also enjoy dodging a bunch of confused tourists to get to your front door). - no on-site parking, garage, or any good parking options within blocks. God help you if you have a car (thankfully I don't anymore) 9/ CONSTANT CONSTRUCTION (that doesn't benefit you): - the latest building managers hoped to convert the apartments to condos (but failed because this area sucks for a buyer)-- so you'll have to deal with constant construction/busy elevators/lots of banging, since they're not finished with the full plans 10/ EXPENSIVE, UNJUSTIFIED RENT: - you will pay more for a comparable unit here than anywhere else. The current "studio lofts" are priced the same or more expensive than 1-bedrooms elsewhere-- Don't fall for the "loft" language! 11/ POOR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT: - this got worse here with each new owner, and the current management (Woodmont Real Estate) is the worst by FAR, providing no amenities for residents, and having a glib stick up their asses when it comes to resident concerns & satisfaction. Despite this imbalance of pros v cons, current management believes they are entitled to the max rent increases they can legally get... But as I've outlined there's no justification for these rents with so many comparable complexes with far better amenities & services at better prices (and even if it's more expensive you'll could still end up saving money just from not having your packages stolen every week). Do the research, stop by and see how dirty and uncared for are the building & outside area. The older, positive reviews here are valid-- I've been here for 10 years and this used to be a nice, convenient & respectable place to call home. But things have dramatically changed for the worse in the past years, and current management does NOT respect their residents here. I absolutely CAN NOT RECOMMEND the Lofts for anyone, any more-- and lol, if you're thinking about purchasing one of these "condos", run away as fast as you can. There will be no returns here for the next 20+ years at least.

Isle House is a serene and comfortable place to live. Views are amazing and the building is…read morewell-designed and well-run. Meeting neighbors from all sorts of places and backgrounds is a plus, when I moved in it was almost too quiet but now things are buzzing. Still plenty of room in the gym and amenity areas in my experience (especially the second floor courtyard which feels almost hidden!). I'm car-free and the current bus and ferry options to Mainland SF are doable today, and will get better in the future. If you do bring a car expect to pay for parking, which is available in the building. Street parking in newly developed areas will have meters installed soon, helping fund more transit service and making sure visitors have a place to park and enjoy the island. You can also bike to the East Bay via the Bay Bridge Path. Isle House has a pretty good bike storage room, it's a bit narrow but has lots of bike slots and some outlets for ebike charging. Now that there are enough people to use it it would be great to see a carshare option, which the building doesn't have (yet). Utility bills have been quite reasonable (amazing what modern building codes and efficient appliances can do). Easy to get packages too, as you might imagine islanders seem to order a lot of stuff but the package room is big and organized enough to keep up, with a fridge for cold deliveries. Local businesses on TI are also absolutely worth exploring: there are a couple of restaurants, a bar, Island Cove Market which has a pretty good selection for a small grocery store, a coffee roaster (HelioRoast, which will deliver to the building!), and more. Looking forward to sticking around a while longer and watching the island continue to grow.

We didn't have a scheduled appointment at first, but the staff told us they could see us at 4:00 PM, which was fine since we arrived around 3:15 PM. What made the experience so uncomfortable was how we were treated while waiting. The woman at the front desk said we couldn't stay in the lobby because there was a "30-minute waiting limit." That already sounded strange -- but what made it worse was that there were other people just sitting around the lobby area with no problem. It felt personal, like she simply didn't want us waiting there. She was also extremely rude about it, with an attitude that made us feel like we didn't belong. We had just come to see the property and were respectful the entire time, but the way we were spoken to was uncalled for. The apartments might look nice from the outside, but if this is how they treat potential tenants before even showing them the units, I can only imagine what the management is like once you move in. The customer service was terrible, and the whole experience left me feeling unwelcome and disappointed.

Street parking is all around if you can find a spot available. But make sure to check for parking restriction or you'll find yourself a nice parking ticket. There are cameras through the complex and you can always spot a security guard circling the complex in the evening. Inside the apartments are standard but have the amenities you need such as washer and dryer, garbage disposal and fridge. Depending on your neighbours it can get loud at night. I've heard loud stomping noises, to yells for help or domestic arguments, and of course the loud music all in the AM. It's fine during the day but at night when you're trying to sleep, it gets difficult. Things you can expect to see during the day are young kids running in the streets yelling at each other , a car parked with some suspicious characters mobbing around it. Most of the kids you see playing around are young African Americans ranging from 5 to 18. As ghetto as it seems, I don't feel to worried waking to my car at night. Just make sure you watch your step, a lot of the residents don't pick up after there dogs.

The trees and mini waterfalls absorb the city's white noise and replaces it with soothing echoes of streams and singing birds. It's truly beautiful. The apartments are decent. My only complaint is that the walls are very thin. This would be a problem, but all my neighbors are very quiet and respectful. Most of the people I see living here are either retired or working professionals. I have never seen any Ghetto type people in this area. When I mean ghetto I mean uneducated and poor thug/street people, not blacks...there are blacks, asians, indians, and whites. But again, the rent can be pricey here, which is good! The office workers are nice and I never expect perfect customer service. As long as I get what I need, then I'm happy. I think people are just too emotional and/or expect the workers here to treat people like they're in the Ritz Carlton... The pool is always heated and the tiny gym is nice for when you don't want to go to a real gym. It can get packed sometimes. Another downside is the weather, it's usually cold or foggy in this area because it's on top of a hill. Hope this review helps!

It's managed, maybe even owned by The Related Companies, a National Property Management company, and they do a very good job in most ways. My chief complaint, and I don't even know if a solution is possible, is the disrespect some tenants how for these brand new and beautiful units. Like all areas of San Francisco, parking is scarce and expensive, and Crescent Cove consists of approximately 275 apartment units and perhaps 175 outdoor parking spaces in a new neighborhood that has almost NO street parking within walking distance. Strange as it may seem, the majority of my fellow subsidized tenants seem to have more than one car so the parking situation is always stressful. The whole complex is beautifully landscaped and maintained, featuring such great amenities as a gym with a large flat screen to use while working out, a business center for tenants with three new computers and a printer, a game area with shuffleboard, ping pong and a couple other games, and an amazing community room with a complete modern kitchen, fireplace, fine furniture, a large flat screen and a beautiful gas barbecue. There are lawns, palm tree's, flowering plants and many tree's of all shapes and sizes and a gardening company is here regularly to maintain all the garden areas. There is even a vegetable garden that tenants can use to grow their own fresh produce. The neighborhood is Mission Bay and is brand new and growing very fast but a community is developing that is vibrant, diverse and filled with all the services and facilities every neighborhood requires to be successful. There is a new library, dog park, kayak rental facility, basketball and tennis courts, hiking trails and a new Safeway is within two blocks along with dozens of restaurants, coffee joints, cleaners, health facilities, the World Champion San Francisco Giant's as well as a new hospital being built by UCSF and plenty of research and development in medical and technology markets. A really great place to live with wonderful management and a staff that can be seen taking care of the whole complex every day of the week.

I miss cooking, the gym in the complex, certain neighbors and the staff at Crescent Cove. My move in date is Thursday January 6th, 2011. I'm so happy that I will return. The place is cleaned every day and there are always bathrooms and showers available to use even though they are shared with everybody. I believe it is one of the most cost-effective places to live in in SF comparing location vs price. I recommend.

Now, at 11:45pm I'm waiting for the police bc my drug-abusing neighbor RACHEL GOCH has been screaming, cursing and making extremely loud noise every 1min 40sec with her drug machine using nitrous oxide since 3pm. She's been doing it almost every day in the past year and EVERY SINGLE DAY in the past month: NON-STOP 4-8 HOURS A DAY. The puffing of her drug machine along with her screaming and swearing can be heard on each floor and even downstairs. This is the second extremely loud drug-abusing neighbor I'm dealing with on my own. He asked me to call the police (He asked me not to call him if something happens late in the evening, not to knock on his door, just call the police). The manager Ben Elias (with his friends) lives in the loft downstairs (room that shares a door with dining / office room) and nothing can bother him there. Also, watch out for your security deposit. Although their lease says that the deposit is equal to one month rent, in my case the deposit was almost doubled. When I asked "Why?", AB RAO replied it was a market rent that they used in my case. Then I emailed to four people in a company and asked for adjustment of the deposit - NO ONE REPLIED. Then I've decided to make my next rent payment smaller, so that my deposit would be equal to one month rent - just as the lease says. A few days later, I got en email from all 5 people in a company demanding to pay the usual rent amount. To this, I asked for the adjustment of my double deposit again, and MARIA NESHEVA replied that they don't usually do it, but will make an exception for me if I remove my review (I used to have another review here when I was dealing with another drug-abusing neighbor). SKETCHY SHAMELESS PEOPLE. THEY ARE ALSO RENTING OUT ILLEGAL UNITS: rooms that are not allowed to be rented by law and that don't even have room numbers (this fact was confirmed today by a City House Inspector). Overall, the place is very old, with old chipped furniture, squeaky beds, old thin doors that will let you hear every step someone makes in a narrow corridor, smelly comforters covered with animals fur and dirty sheets (When I rented my room, my sheet was literally grey - it was so dirty) The showers are disgusting with dirtiest I've ever seen shower curtains and absolutely no place to put your shower gel or whatever you use when you shower: one hook on a door for all your clothes, a towel, and everything else. Or you can put it on the dirty floor - it's another great option. + The place has mice. The toilet rooms have no ventilation duct. There're only 3 desks for working in a dark dining / living / office room with a broken crumbling ceiling, and they are rarely empty. The Folsom residence might work for you if you're completely deaf, can go without sleep for a long time, OK with filth & rodents, and have time and energy to deal with many different problems and drug-abusing neighbors. Oh, and the internet here is extremely slow: sometimes you'll have to wait 12-15 sec for a website/page to load. Add to this a neighborhood full of poor homeless people who sleep on the streets and use the streets for all their needs.

Before the bus arrives, I would walk through the plaza and check out two places - a Chinese restaurant which is no longer there and Powderface for the beignets. There was also a farmer's market near the BART Station. The plaza has small retail businesses on the first level and apartments on the upper levels. This plaza is a great place for a cultural event - Dia de Los Muertos - which I try to attend each year. The amazing dancers, the people, the many vendors and the activities for family, friends and children, the colorful booths containing flowers and fruits to honor and respect the loved ones who have passed are indeed a wonderful sight. Today my male companion and I decided to have lunch at Wahpepah. What I noticed in the plaza is the tall statue in the courtyard. Bienvenidos (welcome). I am so looking forward to Dias de Los Muertos on November 1, 2026 at the Fruitvale Village.
