if you have an alternative trash service, take it! FCI's service is TERRIBLE! Our problems began when we had a fire in our backyard shed and tried to throw out well bagged household and yard tool damaged items and the driver refused to take them. In fact, the driver went so far as to remove bags from our bin and cursEd me out, even dropping some of the trasg bags on the curb. Eventually we were able to finesse getting the TRASH picked up, but suddenly last month the driver started ripping open our trash bags and rifling through our trash! I am a senior disabled man who has limited mobility due to a broken leg. I have a very busy county highwmay in front on my heavily wooded property. After a recent storm I policed the highway for safety reasons and deposited a small number of sticks into my TRASH bin and the drivers refused first picked them out and then didn't pick up the trash service we were paying for for THREE weeks, again tearing open our trash bags. After several calls to FCi, they finally went to the "we cant talk to you because it's a landlord account" card. That was it; I begged our landlord cancel the service they did and thankfully switched us to a different trash service. Please... choose a difference trash service! read more

I called this morning about getting a dumpster for stumps and talked with Stacey. Stacy told me the cost was $575.00 for two weeks and would be charged $50.00 extra for anything over two weeks. I explained that I was a residential customer and thought they would do better. I explained that I had a friend who got dumpsters through a different company commercially and told her that I would go through the other company. Stacey very rudely rattled off that there were no dumping fees and something else and quickly said, "Good luck!!!" and hung up the phone. If Stacey had explained the benefits of staying with FCI, who I have previously got dumpsters and have been a residential customer for over 30 years, I might have stayed with FCI. Now, I am considering changing my residential pickup. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! read more

This company is consistent and dependable. Pick ups are always on time. They are clean and organized.

I used this service for a short while I explicitly told them to take the bill DIRECTLY out of the card, when they didn't of course eventually our trash removal services stopped. FINE, easy fix right? NO. I proceeded to pay them what I owe & try to get my services back, WITH of course access to my card to take out the bill automatically. They FULLY DENIED ME SERVICES. My fiance is SURE I've been scammed at this point. While I don't feel like thats the case it Certainly does feel like it. read more

Freehold Cartage in Freehold, NJ changed completely over the years. We've been with the company for almost 25 years. My husband tried to give one of the drivers a tip of $20 and it was thrown back at him. We tried to use their online payment service and the payments never went through. They raised our monthly fee to $116 about a year ago, which was a $26 raise per month. Now without notification, they raised it another $10. The service has gone down with garbage being left on the street after pick up. I spoke to the office and I'll admit I said a word I shouldn't have and I apologized immediately, but the rep refused to talk to me. The supervisor Sharon was going to speak to me however I was cut off & when I called back, I was told that Sharon was going to email me, but I asked to talk to her and she would not pick up the phone. This is lousy customer service along with everything else that has changed for the worst . We are looking for a new company . It is sad, because I used to recommend this company to my customers. It's probably age discrimination. The company feels they can get away with anything once you are 60. They definitely do not fulfilled their promise of quality service. read more

These people are incompetent I had a dumpster and scheduled a pick up for Friday on a Monday and they never put it on the schedule. Now it sat over the weekend with it raining all weekend and when I told them that it got weighed down with all the water from the rain and the guy told me that's impossible. Now I'm no expert but I know that when Sheetrock insulation and plaster gets wet it damn near triples in weight. The guy was very rude on the phone and kept talking over me. If I could recommend anything I'd say use a different company. read more

Absolutely the WORST company to hire to pick up your trash. Why? Their employees just dont give a damn, I finally cancelled their service after they ruined 2 of my trash cans. Why should I keep buying new trash cans just so their people can break them? They also leave trash on the ground - and this is the worst part: IF you see their trucks on the road, STAY FAR BACK! They will cut you off, pull out in front of you, etc. Their drivers are the worst, most unsafe drivers out there. AVOID! read more

This is a fantastic company and I know, it may be a little weird to get so excited about garbage, right? Alas, I am. Every time I've called in to them for anything (an extra pickup, holiday question, billing question, whatever) they have been friendly and helpful and they definitely give that "family business" feeling where I don't feel like I'm talking to a bunch of disgruntled people. The collectors are kind enough (though I hope this doesn't get them in trouble) to grab my garbage if they see I've overloaded and am not due to get picked up yet and they always give a wave if I happen to be outside when they come by. I can only assume that the folks at FCI are taking care of their crew because so far, I've seen nothing but happy employees and those happy employees are taking care fantastic care of us. Customer service is horrible, I have unlimited service which they stated i can place extra garbage cans out with the totes. The garbage man then deems it to be bulk and they leave it. I call them up and they state we don't offer that service anymore. and I should stop, but i still pay for it. iyt must be nice to just do whatever you want when it benefits you. read more

This is a good company, meaning their prices are reasonable. Do NOT order the unlimited garbage removal option. This option is meant for the occasional instance that you may need ore space. You are supposed to be able to leave a few extra bags next to the container. I subscribe to this service and I just tried this unlimited option and to my surprise when I returned home, my three bags where next to the empty container. There were razor blade marks on the side of each bag. When I called the company they told me that it only applies to kitchen trash. I had a pizza box and three used air filters in one bag. I will continue with this company but not subscribe to the unlimited option anymore. read more

One of the worst companies to ever have to deal with. Over the time of my service with them I bought around 7 new trash cans for extra garage storage and disposal, which have all been broken within a few months by this company. All the lids were thrown in the street, trashed and ran over by cars. They have 0 respect on the phone when you try to explain the situation and request a extra tote. They got really nasty and toxic on the phone. I spoke with the service manager himself and he was a really nasty person. He has no value for the business he is getting by the customers and treats them like crap. I am in the process of getting a new service and will be canceling my service with freehold cartage. Half of my development has switched to another service because of the same issues and there are better services available for a better price.They do not deserve business from customers if they do not even value them. Do yourself a favor and give your business to a company that actually treats you like a customer and does not damage your trash cans. The over inflated reviews you find online about this company are actually written by their own staff to boost the company. Be careful if you chose this companies service. read more
