When I call freeman's the Customer service was very good. They sent someone out fast , I'm not sure of he's name , I think it was DON he was great , he help out a lot . They were quick + efficient in getting to our location, and thoughtful and efficient in how they towed it our car. I was a little worried that it would get damaged in the process but they were very careful and our Honda Elephant (what we call our gray Honda Element) came off the medium without a scratch. The asian man seems very nice, but he will scam you out of your money. Please if your car ends up there ask all of the questions you need to ask. Please do not be fooled by this company. They will try to get all the money they an out of you. Questions to ask before hand: will you be able to tow my car to the front if its undrivable? Can i call my insurance company to pick up right now? If its undrivable can you help me push it? Will you recharge me the gate fee if I need to wait outside for my towtruck? He will not want you to have your own insurance truck come,but he will over charge you if he tows your car to your deatination. If you need a tow to the front he will charge you 100$. I needed help to have my totaled car towed out of Alameda. The car was in a repair shop and I was worried about incurring storage fees, so I needed the car towed immediately. I called Freeman's and talked to Rebecca. She calmed me down and told me that my car would be picked up that day and the driver's name was Fernando. I needed to call her back a couple of times because I had to meet the driver at the shop and then again because I had given Rebecca the wrong address. Each time I called Rebecca answered the phone by the second ring and she never sounded annoyed that I had to keep calling with questions. She made this experience as painless as possible and she even made me laugh because I was stressing out. RUDE! SHADY! UNPROFESSIONAL! My car was stolen, found by RPD and towed to this place. They would not allow me to take my brother with me to see the car. She (whatever her name was) started yelling and calling someone to take him of the property when he just nicely asked to go with me since I wouldn't know what my car needs. I have never seen anything like it. I felt like I was the criminal. There was elderly man standing outside in the rain and probably going through same horrible experience. Only thing he managed to say to me "what a bad service". I hope they don't treat their own elderly like this. They don't want anybody to be with you because they don't want your car fixed because then they won't be able to charge you for tow service to your home etc. (smart!). Ignore the outdated bad reviews, Freeman's is under new ownership, two TERRIFIC ladies have taken it over and I cannot sign their praises loudly enough. Hard-working, resourceful; they towed FIVE cars for me that had been abandoned. Did if safely, promptly and with good cheer. The ladies have taken over a troubled business and to their enormous credit are determined to turn it around. Their equipment is brand new, their professionalism first rate. I got a flat tire on the expressway and I called Freeman's tow service and Caroline was super nice and helpful with getting a truck out there to help me get off the busy expressway. Trash is the definition of this place! Rude, disrespectful ,and awful "service". I came by to pick up my stolen vehicle and was greeted by a yelling psycho. She was unable to answer the questions that I had, I actually doubt she even heard me. We were charged extra fees with no explanation. I suppose there are no regulations to prevent their fraud. Rip off tow service they will charge you for extra days $75.00 a day. My car was towed on a Sunday at 4:00am and they charge me from Saturday and i had proof of when it was towed by the police.
