I cannot express enough gratitude to Javier and Enrique. Key Factors: 1. Quality of work, Excellent 2. Service, Friendly and attentive 2a. You can tell these guys are busy! High demand for good work! But they are always respectful and quick to the point which for me is immensely valuable. 3. There hasn't been a single experience I've had here where my own research (in terms of cost) conflicts with their opinions. In short, they are verifiably genuine. As a member of the community I believe we need to uplift each other, especially in times of need. For many, a car is the second biggest investment one can make. For me, J&E has always helped me when I've needed it most. While car problems and repairs can be scary I've never felt safer or more at ease than when my cars are at J&E. Took my car here to be serviced I have used them in the past no problem! But wait I'm lying they fixed my radiator and forgot some hose to my transmission.. Which caused me to keep losing fluid and. Agave my tranny snatch. I went to AAMCO and the guy Mike told me did you just have some work done in your radiator? I was like yes he said take it back because they didn't hook up your hose that's why you are losing fluid! I took it back and they fixed it! The Dad apologized and was the one to agree to fix it! Okay so that brought a little trust even tho another mechanic told me after that stress on the transmission you may need a new one soon? Okay I am a woman idk? Now my car had another problem which required more exploration I had some trust issues but I went ahead and got it fixed. My car was there for almost a month I get it back and. It is packed with ants yes ants! I call and the son says take it to be cleaned and he will pay half? I just spent over 2 thousand dollars and he says half? Once you do business with them, they save the history of all the work they've done to that vehicle to make sure you're getting the correct intervals of maintenance needed, and so there's no doubling down on work that was already done. It's nice to have a record so you don't have to keep track of everything. Also, they annotate all the issues they find along the way, then call you to inform you of the issue and ask if you want it taken care of. They'll log it down when they talked to you and what decision was made. They'll let you know if it's something that can wait till later down the road, especially since they know people can be tight on money when it comes to unforeseen repairs. I don't think this is an honest business. They tried to charge my partner for almost 3x the repair time to replace the clock spring on her steering wheel. She handled everything with them up until I found that out and stepped in, making them charge the correct amount. For her make and model the job would only be 30m or less. I would avoid this place. Javier saved my 2007 F150XLT following a catastrophic power loss while driving home. I had to get my truck towed to the first shop, where the estimate was that it was likely totaled- that it might be the flex plate, or could be an engine replacement, but either way it was going to cost more that the truck was worth. The truck is in great condition cosmetically, and I did not want to give up on it. Demoralized, and nearly resigned that it was the end of the road for my truck, I did more research into local shops and found Javier. I had it towed there, and Javier introduced himself with calmness and the confident, even-keeled reassurance that comes from decades of experience and having seen it all, probably some worse conditions than my truck. I came away feeling optimistic that it might not be the end of the road after all. He said it could be one of the components that I had been told by the first shop, but that he'd need to get it up on the lift and would get back to me at the end of the day. By that time he had removed the transmission and confirmed that it was the flex plate and that I might also need a new starter. He gave me an estimate that sounded reasonable, especially given the prior estimate I had received, and the next day (Saturday morning) confirmed what he'd told me. He invited me to come into the shop so that we could look at the damage together, and so he could explain to me what the process of fixing it would entail, before he started the work. My truck was ready by the following Monday evening, with brand new starter and flex plate, and now it runs like new. It was the happiest drive home I can remember since my kids were born. I told my wife that I'd found our new shop. If you're out there looking for a reliable shop to become your new shop, just go to J&E. read more

I originally came to this shop with some simple issues with my lights, which they fixed pretty quickly. By horrendous luck, my Prius got vandalized twice in one week soon after. Some schmucks stole my catalytic converter. TWICE. IN. ONE. WEEK. Both times, Enrique worked as fast as he could, getting all the paperwork ready for my insurance company before they even reached out to him, and worked his magic to get the required replacement parts same-day. I'm so glad I stumbled across this place. I needed new rear brakes and rotors. Another business in Pinole(I won't state the name) was telling me the work would be $1,000. Couldn't even really tell me why. I took it here and Enrique was super nice and thorough. He explained what needed to be done and actually explained the process of things. It's hard trusting people at automotive places but that definitely wasn't the case here. I felt great when I left, didn't feel like they were trying to get over on me. They took care of everything I needed. Everyone was super nice. It's been a week since getting my car fixed and everything is still great. I even sent my mom to get her car looked at! They agreed to evaluate a '00 Volvo station wagon for me, and agreed to roll the $115 evaluation cost into the repairs. Upon completion of the evaluation for repairs, the owner, Javier , called me and condescendingly told me that he would only apply 50% of the cost towards my repairs, and spoke to me as if I was stupid. I then completely did not trust this establishment or this man, and wanted to take my car elsewhere because I immediately knew they would rip me off more and more and more. I took my car elsewhere and disputed the charge with my account, and Javier had the gall to send in receipts claiming he hadn't said what he had, lying again, and because the conversation had been on the phone and I couldn't record it, I couldn't send it to my credit card company, so he again stole from me. This is after I took in a celica here for simple repairs and ended up with a $2500 quote. This place is a RIP OFF RUINS CARS AND CHARGES YOU FOR REPAIRING THEIR SABOTAGE. Yes I'm back with another review for J & E Automotive I was recently rear ended and once my car was out the collision shop my car was not riding right and the collision people told me they did a bunch of work but come to find out they didn't fix anything and Javier was welcoming as always and his son the Jr. handsome young man always get right on my car they both always make sure I'm straight they go above and beyond and answer all questions! My car continues to run like a champ I come get all my maintenance done here! Today I was looking to purchase a vehicle from a private auto dealership about a mile away from J&E. Since this was an Audi Q7 TDI with 86k miles, I insisted on having it looked over by an independent mechanic. To be honest the only reason I called them was because they were close to the dealership and they were the only ones open all day on a Saturday. And boy am I glad I called. Javier gave me a good price on the inspection but more importantly, even though they were busy, they were able to fit me in on practically zero notice. Now I just expected them to do a quick inspection, check for leaks, check the breaks, etc. But in an hour they checked everything, including the electrical system, the turbocharger, suspension, everything. And they provided me with an extremely detailed 3-page report that I was able to bring back to the dealership and negotiate with. I was even given a pretty good education on deisel engines, what to watch out for, things to be mindful of, etc. Big thanks to Enrique and Javier at J&E.
