Took the car here as an authorized service shop for Vinfast. The work that needed to get done was a software upgrade which was supposed to be a job that lasts a few days. In total the car was in the shop 44 instead to my disappointment. Contributing factors included Vinfast's transitioning to this new support model and potentially supply chain issues, since parts are coming from Vietnam. But to the shop's scope of responsibility, there needs to be improvement in the following areas: customer communication, service intake, quality assurance testing and customer handoff. For Customer Communication - they need to be proactive, I found myself calling for updates instead of being proactively updated. Many times when I call the tech is not available. Service Intake - I scheduled an initial appointment only to be told I should drop the car in the morning instead of the afternoon, which was scheduled by RepairWise (the appointment vendor they use) Qualify Assurance Testing: I drove off and found some functions are not working. They did a software update and took 45 days. There should have been thorough testing. Customer Hand Off - they should have reviewed what was done to the car and the features of the new update. read more

I just called Savy Autobody for a quote, and I'm honestly shocked at how unprofessional the experience was. As soon as the phone was picked up, all I heard was a rude and dismissive "Yeah!?" No "Hello," no mention of the business name--nothing that even remotely resembled a proper greeting. Confused, I asked, "Is this Savy Autobody?" and the response I got was a lazy, almost annoyed, "Umm... yeah, who's this?" At that point, I knew this was not a place I'd ever trust with my car. For a business that relies on customer service and trust, this kind of behavior is a massive red flag. If they can't even answer the phone with basic courtesy and professionalism, how can anyone expect quality service or honest work in their shop? This felt more like calling someone's personal cell phone than a legitimate business. First impressions matter--and this one screamed disorganized, careless, and disrespectful. Came in for a B7 services and a wheel alignment. Ended up leaving my car there from 9:30am- 6pm. When calling in to get an update on the vehicle around 4pm i was told the compressor went out and that they had some complications throughout the day. Being understanding i let them take their time. Went over the paper work, signed and paid for the work done. Over the days i noticed my wheel alignment kept pulling to the right, leaving me to have the streeing wheel turned left a bit to keep my car straight. I brought it in today at 10:30am and was notified that they half way did an alignment since their machine wasn't functioning well that day and that they would do a proper alignment this time, would take about 40-1hr. I call in at 1 to get an update and get the same run around excuse our equipment isn't functioning right gives us some more time and we'll get it done. After being patient and understanding im not putting up with the bullshit. I wont be bringing anything to them. It doesn't require a lot of energy for Mechanics and Receptionists to be transparent about getting a job done. Letting a customers drive off with a half done wheel alignment job and not let them know is extremely concerning. Using the same excuse over and over to delay work like come on now. It sucks cause after reading these reviews and being recommended to them. I thought Savys would be reputable, guess not. read more

I needed a reflective light installed on the side of my vehicle. They were available and they did the work in a timely manner. However, I would have preferred that they took more time and not damage the hard plastic on the side of my vehicle. The reason I hired them was I couldn't figure out how to replace it without doing what they apparently did -aggressively pry off the part (before replacing it) and damage the vehicle. This is a long overdue review (May 2019) so if the ownership changed and all the employees from then are gone, you may have better luck. read more

Took my 2014 Chevy Impala Limited LTZ for smog. Customer service was really great they even gave me a ride home and also came to pick me back up when the car was ready. They did make some repairs to the vehicle but I was told that now i needed to drive the car the "cycle". Once I do that only then can it be smog tested. read more

I had brought two of my cars there. One needed a cam on left side. The other car needed repairs on the ecm capacitors to be replaced and rebuilt. I came by the same day to speak with some in person and let them know a little more about the the repairs that needed to be done. I could hear that one of Savy's employees was trying to start the car that needed another cam and thought he could get it started. I explained he can try all day and waste his time charging the battery which did. Or look at the customer request and change the cam. The cam gear has spun out of position so the fuel and spark timing was not going to work in the right order. They didn't even look and check if the cam has spun or not and set timing. I'm assuming that he didn't do a rotation by hand to make sure that the valves wouldnt make contact with the pistons. He put it back to together and lock the engine up bent almost all my valves, took it down to the the timing cover and put a pipe wrench to the crankshaft. Completely destroyed my engine. I got there there to late to watch the show but got the tail end of seeing a big ass pipe wrench sticking out of my engine bay still attached to my crankshaft. My wife car needed a ECM rebuild. After a few months being park in their lot I get a call from. Savy saying cars ready. My wife and I come to pick up the car and take for a test drive and we ride it for a few minutes and the light turns on and the cars runs like crap. They added parts that the car didnt need and charged us and told they sent the ecm to get repaired. But the car still ran the same I requested to send the ECM because Module Experts backs up their services with a warranty. Savy agreed and said he sent it out again. I call up Adam from Module Experts and spoke to him about the work they have done and if they changed the capacitors because the battery still drains and when you drive the car and it relearns it's perimeters for the fuel trim it runs like shit. Adam asked me if was talking about the ECM coming from Savy's shop and said yes. Adam said that they are expecting the module to be delivered for the first to time not any other time because Savy never sent it out in the first place. So I called Savy and spoke with him in person and he stuck to the story that the computer just needed more programing and that Module Experts just missed a few details on the engine upgrades and that they should get it right and hopefully the car runs after they install the ECM. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I let him talk for a while and make a ass of him self . When he was done with his bull shit. I let him know that I spoke with Adam from Module Experts and that they have yet to receive the ECM. If anyone that taken your car to Savy's and had nothing but a bad experience with them. I'm sorry I should wrote a review in 2018 when this happened. Savy is the most dishonest business owners I ever seen not to mention he pays his employees $120.00 a day and charges over a $100.00/hr. As of body work I don't know I haven't heard anything bad. But personally I would never take any of my cars there not even a oil change. I don't think I would trust him with putting gas in my tank. I don't know why there is not a option for a half a star because I wouldn't even give him that. read more

This company is not the go too company....I had oil leaks from various components and I was charge a large sum $1700. I payed it and collected my vehicle one week later and I inspected and found out I still had a engine oil leak. I went back to them and told them about it and they said I can drive it or I should add oil on a weekly basis or payed them a $1000 more to fix the issue. I ended up going to Midas for a second opinion and they fix the issue I had for $800 and I was told that the mechanic at Savys had put in the back engine seal backwards. Esam is really friendly, was upfront with the cost, kept me updated, made no promises he couldn't keep and in the end my car PASSED. They did a great job, my car is running like a Champ. We needed an alignment on our Jetta wagon and had no idea where to take it. We saw the sign above the business and and decided to give it a try. We got an appointment the following morning. The fee was reasonable and their communication was professional. It turned out we had rusty tie rods and they called us right away to get an OK on increased charges to cover the complications involved. They checked out the safety level of these tie rods and informed us we were OK to go ahead driving with them for a while. We are pleased to find these guys and to see that they had good reviews before us. Our communication with Kevin, José and one other guy, who passed the repaired car off to me, were all great. We called Kevin a number of times that morning and he was gracious every time we spoke. read more

I had my car repaired here last year. Actually it was hit and run case where someone hit the passenger side front door. Savy did splendid job to replace and paint it. On top of it, he also helped me saving 260 bucks from my 1000$ deductible by reducing the labor fee. That was really a big relief to me. I bought a Toyota on CL knowing it needed tires. Got a set of Michelins at Costco and they said I need alignment. Went to Steve's and they told me now i need front axles...TO THE TUNE OF $1000!!! HAHAHAAAAA!!! Honey, I was not born yesterday and used to do a lot of my own repairs, until a raised engine almost took my hands off when doing motor mounts. So, the car also needed ignition cylinder. I PU part at 5:30, ignition was jammed, across the street was a sign for Savy's. I called and Dave came right over, got it moving and installed new cylinder, making time even though the gate was closing. Their price for front axles and a transmission service was HALF. OF STEVE'S QUOTE! He also found a couple minor bugs and fixed them! Now, if you have to have a fancy office, cute folders and a shuttle at exhorbitant cost, go to Steve's. If you want honesty, dedication, down to earth service at tremendous savings, go to Savy's. PS...whomever wrote the negative comments about Dave doesn't understand cars. The customer service is grreat, Chris at the front desk is a good contact person. He goes out of his way to address your concerns. They will drive you home when you leave your car with them, and promptly so. The other workers are very friendly and helpful. The prices on the services are very competitive, so one can save good $$$ having their car serviced here, especially if you are a member of Costco. However, when you drop your car off, be sure to remind them that they need to contact you first before charging you for anything unexpected. Only after consulting directly with the owner, myself, was I able to remedy an unexpected charge. I would take my car there again. read more

Esam, the service advisor, was very friendly and knowageable about the vehicle. I got a call from Esam later that day telling me that the A/C compressor had failed and that it would need to be replace. I gave him the go ahead, and they had the car ready the next day. Please do not use these guys if you do not have to. They are very dishonest and incompetent. I took my van in to get the starter and solenoid replaced. 4 hours after I left it I get a call saying it's ready. The bill is $300. Solenoid ignition don't cost over $125. It only takes a half hour to put a starter in. Job should have been $175-200 at most. Next day after driving my van I turn it off and it won't restart. Luckily I had a wrench so I climbed under van and tap the starter, got it to go. Drove a half hour back the garage. After 3 hours I get a call that my van is ready. Now they want to charge me $135 extra for labor and a new solenoid. They told me the day before the day they had put a new ignition and solenoid in which most body shops would do. Now they want to charge me an extra hundred dollars in labor for labor that they should have done the day before. Please, if you can do not use these guys, if I could I would give them less than one star. read more

I have a 99 Ford Expedition and every time I take it to Ford, they are always trying to get me to buy a new car. I found Savy Auto Service via yelp because it was close to home. He replaced my radiator, fixed the problem and gave me a good price. He also gave me a one year warranty on the service he provided. Management is very courteous and helpful. I received excellent service and would definitely go there again. They do everything...its a one stop auto repair and autobody shop. They also sell cars.
