Get your car washed here and your car will go in perfectly running when you hand the keys off but possibly NOT running when the keys get passed along back to you. But don't worry they won't tell you your car isn't working properly because they want you will drive off their property first, perhaps to your firery death for all they know, just so they aren't held responsible for your "mechanical problems". ***a raw clip of the interaction between us and the manager is posted for this review*** Sitting on the car wash bench waiting for the car to be washed when we noticed the car was being pushed out to the parking spot to get hand dried. We didn't think anything of it at the time until our car was taking an unusually long time to get hand dried as several customers who had gotten their car washed after us were driving away before us. We were wondering why it was taking so long even though it looked like two employees were hand drying our car (one employee was wearing a white shirt who we would learn later was the manager). Just as we were getting up to find out what was taking so long, one of the employees signaled to us that the car was ready. Thinking they were just giving the car a little extra TLC we happily took the keys with a "thank you" followed up by a "your welcome", hopped into the car and just as we were about to drive off into the glorious OC sun we realized the car wouldn't start! Thinking our ears had deceived us, we tried again. The thing definitely would not start. That is when I rolled down the window to speak to the manager whose back was turned against us. A summary of what was said: -Me: Excuse me, the car isn't running. -Manager: Oh really? Well mechanical problems happen all of the time. (looking at us blankly as if that is an acceptable answer) -Me: (waiting for more of an explanation but realizing I wasn't going to get one) Ummm... the car was working when we drove here but once it goes through the wash, it suddenly doesn't? -Manager: I don't know. Mechanical problems just happen suddenly all the time. -Me: did you know that the car wasn't running? Because you seem like you know but you are pretending to be surprised about it now. -Manager: No, no we aren't responsible. -Me: Your employees walked the car to the parking spot, did you know that the car wasn't running then and didn't tell us? -Manager: Well yes, we had to get the other cars behind yours out. I was just about to tell you. -Me: You were going to tell us after we got into the car, closed the doors, and went to turn on the car? -Manager: I thought it was a special key. -Me: So the car goes in working and comes out not working. If you did something to the car, you are responsible for this. -Manager: Sometimes there are mechanical problems. We did nothing. Maybe you need a jump? Let me go get something to jump start it or call AAA. Then it continues from the video I posted. Okay ladies and gentlemen of Yelp land- it is one thing for a car to have mechanical issues, even if it inexplicably happens while the car is being washed, but don't you think that should be communicated to the customer? The biggest "what if" that I am sure the manager trying to cover his arse wasn't even considering is what if the car did start up, we got half way down the road and the car failed?!?!!?? Or worse it failed on the 5 freeway! And it was more then not telling us, the manager even was lying by omission when we first started asking him about it. The only reason I assume he didn't continue lying to us about the issue is because he was such a horrible liar. Fortunately for us (and especially fortunate for the car wash) our mechanic was just a block away. He came by and fixed the issue right up while the manager in the white shirt slinked away (he said he would be right back but simply disappeared). read more

For the last 15 + years I have been having my various cars washed here and the place was busy and they did a great job. Not anymore however, the last few years it seems like the car washes were getting worse and worse. I last couple of times i ended up "finishing the job" when I got home since there were lots of missed spots. (Lower half of the door, rims, etc) I guess the owner blamed the economy for the slow sales so they started promoting "exterior only" washes for $5 to $15 and then you can vacuum your car yourself lol. At that price the wash seems more like a rinse that you could have done with a garden hose. For a better low cost car wash there is a great fully automated one at the chevron at Irvine Boulevard and the 55 in Tustin, CA. Amazingly my car is much cleaner after a trip there, than at Orange Car Wash, and I don't feel like a paid too much. read more

After geting my car washed here for months 2 times a month they wanted to charge me 15 for vacuuming my 2 by 4 trunk. I asked if that was normal even for regular customers and said yes. I advised the guy that he was about to loose a loyal customer and he said those are the prices. I have been back since. I rather drive 5 miles to get better customer care. This car wash was right in front of my job so I could leave my car and walk back to work. Their job is ok In cleaning. There is nothing spectacular or extra clean. read more

Be aware they seem to not have a procedure for damaging your car! If I could make my experience a negative star I would. I don't even know where to start. Besides the car still being dirty when I got home. I looked closer and the car had a bunch of little scratches all around it. My heart dropped because I work so hard to have a nice car and it was ruined. I immediately drove back and complained, hoping they have some sort of procedure to take care of these situations. And Of course they don't! A Luis that obviously was told what to say in these cases told me it was impossible because no one else had complained. His solution to the problem was to reclean the car because he did admit to it still dirty. But really? What if they scratched it even more. I had bought some 5 washes coupon for $20 and paid $8 more today to get it waxed I asked to get my $20 back because obviously I wasn't coming back. He said" I don't know where you bought that from." Really you took it when I got here. Obviously, Luis is some guy they just put as a "go to" person to waste your time who can't do anything but rewash your car, definitely not a "manager". So now I've called the headquarters and asked for "gandhi" or "jay", obviously I've written this because I have little hope that these guys can or will do anything for me, as they wont be in until Wednesday. I like this place and come here often - they recently remodeled and they have a great selection in their store of cards, air freshners, drinks, food, etc. It's almost like going into a 7-11 with all the stuff they have. They are so fast that last time I spent so long lingering in the store that by the time I got out my car was parked on the side and finished. And - most importantly it was clean. I've had details here before and they've always done a good job (although i know another reviewer thought otherwise) - overall, this is my "go to" car wash - even after trying out many in the area numerous times. This place is not a good car wash!!! They scratched my rims and didn't wash my car at all!! It still had tons of dirt and big residue all over it, I payed 29.99 and 20.00 for gas and it was supposed to be interior super express and they didn't even take my mats out and vacuum under my weather tech mats! They were fast. Pretty thorough. It's pricey for the area that it's in. I usually go to the 76 Station in Tustin right off Newport and they charge 9.99 during weekdays which is more reasonable. I would go back for a quick decent wash. read more

I just left this place. When I arrived I had a magnet in my vent that holds my phone. When I went to put my phone back on the magnet, I noticed it was missing. When I approached a supervisor he came over to my car with me and searched it telling me to go home and look for it. I explained to him that I never remove it and he basically pulled the "We are not responsible for items left in your vehicle" excuse on me. He offered me a free car wash. I don't want a free car wash. I want my phone holder magnet back. Probably an honest mistake but now I'm out $20 bucks for something that should not have been removed in the first place! They never cleaned my passenger side window either which had doggie saliva caked on it from a recent trip to the dog park. An oversight but not the end of the world. I had signed up for their monthly unlimited wash package which I will promptly cancel when gotcarwash.com opens in the morning. I will not repeat or recommend. read more

I stop to do a quick wash and the guy is trying to sell me a paint restoration service for $75. I tell him I don't have time and if he can just do a regular wash in which he says $30. I drove for 2 miles - 10 minutes - to another car wash in which they did a great job for $15. I just like to know WHY did the attendant not understand when I told him I was in a hurry. Probably the worst car wash place ive ever been to. I always have to go home & windex down all the water spots & redo the windows & the inside is a half ass wipe down & the vacuum job is just as bad. I really like this car wash. The first time I came I paid $6 to just drive through the wash and leave. It did a really good job for so cheap! They also have free self serve vacuums . It's kind of hidden to the side , so you'll need to look for it. The second time I came I paid $25 , they run it through the wash for you and they hand dry it , along with vacuum , clean windows , ect .. I have two dogs & the dog hair is the hardest thing to remove. They did a wonderful job vacuuming it all out. I was so impressed ! The wait here has never been long. I have a 2018, Honda Civic and there's never been any damage to my car .. they have lots of workers ! So sometimes two workers will help with one car to speed up the process, but they leave before the car is finished so you don't feel obligated to leave a tip for two. The one con is the air freshener is those cheap trees you hang on the mirror. I prefer the spray or the strips left under the car seats .. however , it is a great car wash for cheap! I had a simple $5 wash done here yesterday. I used to take my car to the one in Costa Mesa for same $5 whenever I was in the area, but you have to sit in the car while a car is through the machine. Orange Car Wash is different. They drive a car for you and after through the shampoo machine, they even wipe the water spots. Yes, I give a tip, but it's well worth it. Unfortunately, I need to amend my previous review. As I was driving the wipe marks and steaks were visible when the sun was full on the windows. My back inside window wasn't even wiped along the edges. Disappointing to pay for one of the upper wash packages and not get a good job done and missing the freshener. Gave it a 2-Star because of the fact that I've been coming here for a long time now and it was a 4-5 Star car wash. They have gone down hill and the guy at the front is rude as hell. I come once a week and I bring it both mine and my girls car in the same morning. The guy isn't nice and maybe because he is used to seeing me all the time but man a hello or how you doing would be nice. You should see him kiss butt to the other guest getting a wash. Its sad when a business offers a service and they are not able to deliver. My car was left with smudges on the windows, dust on the dashboard but what's worst is that they stole half of the change that was left on the car, a brand new air freshener( dont knw why) and half of the cigarettes of a brand new pack. I didn't want argue with the manager over some petty theft, my family will take our cars some place else from now on. read more

I have minimal complaints before the new management took over but now I couldn't be more pleased. Gustavo, once recommended a detail service that took all the "towel scratches" out of my black Acura TL with was amazing results. Went to this Car Wash to see the rant bout it. But for 1st timer and paid 45 dolla for the wax and silver wash package. Sorry to say but this place its not even close to perfection. The front and back windows were not even cleaned rite,the inside was not even cleaned my doors were still dirty and the inside suppose to be cleaned....looks like they didnt even bother passin the vacuum!!! Interesting turn of events. It would appear someone new has purchased the car wash as the people who had been there are no longer there. I have been a Got Car Wash member for 4+ years, as I previously owned a black on black convertible. Up until recently had been doing a good job. Now I have a new car and the wash is no longer being done well. You now have to ask them to do everything that used to be automatic. The quality is down as well. I am looking for a new car wash that is part of the Got Car Wash. Will only use this place if I have no other choice. read more

I came here after getting my car serviced. I purchased the wheel wash that was $20.99. It does seem a little pricey but my car was extra dirty. My tires had a lot of brake dust and they managed to get them really clean. My headlights were yellow and they made them look like new again. The whole experience was about 20 minutes. There were many cars there but there were about 3 employees working on each car. It was Friday afternoon so maybe they were staffed for a Friday night rush. This place is a rip-off. DO NOT GO HERE. They have a monthly membership where you can get unlimited washes if you pay a certain amount so my dad said I should do it. Well apparently when you start doing that they stop cleaning the inside because they didn't seem to do so much as to vacuum let alone wipe anything down. I'm so annoyed that I wasted my money. Then when I went to cancel the membership they told me I had to come in and do it. Which....why?? I moved away now and the guy pretty much told me I was SOL and would be charged again. So I told him have the manager call me and he told me I could call back Monday, after I would've been charged.....wtf. Finally he told me he could do it over the phone..but why could that not have been done initially??? Then he asked me to read him the numbers on the car pass thing and I did...and I waited....and waited.....and he told me I didn't read the numbers so I figure he just wasn't listening? Very frustrating encounter and honestly felt like they just wanted to make it as difficult as possible to get out of the membership. After a road trip my car was in major need of a good wash. I even let the guy writing the ticket talk me into getting my car waxed to get the insect massacre off of my bumper and mirrors. I had to wait about 25-30 minutes, which is pretty standard for service of this type. When it was time for me to tip and retrieve my vehicle I noticed that there were still quite a few bugs on my front bumper. I explained that when I selected the wax I was told it'd address that. He went over the detailing again also taking care of other marks and dirt that hadn't been caught, upon my request. He was nice about the whole thing but I wish I felt that I got what I paid for. After driving off I noted that my side mirrors had streaks and smudges on them, which I had to take care of when I got home. All in all, the car was was aight I wouldn't recommend getting one's car waxed here cuz for that price you'll probably be happier elsewhere. read more

The guy I encountered here was extremely rude. I was nearby and decided to come here because of the other good reviews on yelp. I approached the start-line and was looking at the different options when the guy came over to help me. I asked him what the cheapest price would be for a car wash that included interior. He told me $30. Well, hell if I'm going to spend $30 on a car wash when my car is not that bad. He then told me that for my car I should get the $30 because it's so dirty. It is not that dirty - it is black and you can see the dust easily. He then proceeded to wipe across my dashboard with his hands to send the dust into the interior of my cabin while I was sitting there. Anyway, he then said I can get the $15 car wash and they will wipe the interior but cannot guarantee that it will be clean. WTH? I was reluctant, but said fine. He then came back with a ticket that said $15.99 + $1 for SUV (for my RAV4) - okay this is NOT $15. For $17 he can wipe down my dashboard but state that it will "Still be dirty because it looks like you don't wash your car often." Excuse me? He then said "we cannot do a good job if you don't get the $30 wash." I gave him back the slip and left. How rude. If I wanted to do an "okay" job on my car, I can just wipe down the interior myself with a clorox wipe for free. So I drove down to Crystal Car Wash down the street and they did a super job cleaning my interior for $8.99. They vacuumed every corner and wiped down the windows and dashboard. I will never go back to Orange Car Wash again, and I suggest you get your car wash elsewhere. read more

This place was pretty decent. Got the $20 car wash and it took about 20 to 25 minutes. They cleaned both the outside and inside of my car. Like I said, it was decent. My car wasn't completely clean and there were a few hard to clean spots left on the outside. However, the staff was pretty nice and they have a shady tree you can sit under while you wait. read more

I regularly go to the Orange Car Wash and find them friendly. The cash register folks aren't always that nice though as they are short on time. He was very kind and professional in his approach to ask me the type of wash I was looking for and the air freshener I wanted.
