My Progressive policy was canceled after a required underwriting verification was not clearly communicated, resulting in a 24-hour lapse, higher insurance costs, and no opportunity to reinstate coverage; the underwriting representative told me this is not uncommon and has happened to other customers, while the sales representative I spoke with was unaware that this verification process could occur and lead to cancellation.
