Purchased an SR22 policy, standalone on Jan 26th 2019. Explained to the broker that I would be back in a few days once the new car I bought arrives (as it was being shipped to my home address), to upgrade my policy. Policy # G009461494-00 Cost $130 upfront, $250 on Feb. 9th. I returned Jan 31, 2019. Requested my policy to be upgraded (adding comprehensive collision coverage with my current SR-22 for my new car). A 2nd broker helped me. I gave them the paperwork on my current policy and everything was explained to me as if there were no problems. Policy # GSP90297277 would replace Policy # G009461494-00 Cost $350 upfront, $250 on Feb. 14th. I received a notification from my bank on 2/6/12 that my account was overdrafted. Turns out, a 2nd policy was opened and that I had been charged $730 in 14th days, with another $250 scheduled to be deducted again on the 14th of Jan 2019. $1000 deducted from my account in less than 2 weeks. The manager had no explanation for me when I returned to the office. Asked that I call their customer service department who could fix the issue. (800) 960-0036. Gabiel Sanchez, customer service rep (gabiel.sanchez@freewayinsurance.com) explained to my that since I signed the paperwork, there was nothing he could do. He had my sign a document that I was required to submit to cancel the duplicate policy to receive a partial reimbursement, where I had to admit fault for creating the 2nd policy. If I did not follow his instruction, he wouldn't be able to give me some of my money back. 10 years ago I would of walked back into that office and took care of business the old school way. I recently purchased my first car and being told how important it is to have coverage I went shopping for insurance. I listen to 106.1 kmel and way before I obtained my license I would frequently hear the commercial for freeway insurance and how affordable it is. I called a couple other brokers to consider there services and then called freeway. I instantly encountered Lawrence Arechiga . He help me tremendously with getting started on finding the best insurance for me personally. He didn't just pick the first thing he found he gave me options. He was very patient. this process took over 3 days due to my parents being involved and wanting me not to get screwed over by some bogus company that takes all your money. I am 22 years old and and am not ashamed to say that I still involve my parents when I am making important decisions. Lawrence took his time to explain himself to my parents and walked is through the whole online process. Even when off the clock he gave us his cell phone number and continued communicating and working with us on getting all the proper paper work filled out so I could get my policy as soon as possible. It is vey hard to find people that will go above and beyond the call of duty and take their own personal time to stop what their doing and help. I was very impressed with Lawrence and how kind of a person he was to help as much as he did. I have not yet asked him what title he holds with the company but I would be very surprised if he is not a manager already. If not he definitely should be promoted. Linh was completely just remarkable helpful so so kind and very generous and actually looked into quotes and revised everything and anything I had questions about, I mean literally she took out a chart and I visually got to understand exactly what she was talking about. Linh Will go out of her way above and beyond to make sure that you are satisfied with your insurance. I was very lucky enough to come in right as she was leaving, so on top of that for the fact that she wasn't even technically working on the clock anymore she still took the time to completely close out with me on the filling everything that I needed and all the questions that I had to ask for her to answer. People just don't get good help like that anymore and I really do appreciate all the help that she provided me with today. I went to Freeway after being frustrated by the whole online quote experience. I literally was bombarded by text and telephone by lead representatives who were relentless. It was a huge turn off. After searching for a local agency I found Freeway. The hours were great, location nearby and the website was super informative and full of resources a person might need. I was sold. I went down to the office at 6 pm and was greeted and asked to sign in. Within a few minutes a young man named Christian approached me to let me know he would be assisting me. After I completed a few fields on a form we sat at a COVID safe counter and discussed my car insurance needs. He listened carefully and I gave him my id and car registration. After about 5 minutes, he returned with an amazing quote, full coverage, good deductible and a premium I could afford. Not only was he professional and efficient, he also caught on that money was tight. I was there for less than 45 minutes. When I left I couldn't believe how easy the process was and how quickly I was in and out, but also how great the service was. Now I have the piece of mind of a good policy and a go to person at Freeway. A funny thing happened to me and my mom when i went to Free WayIinsurance of San Leandro yesterday, after i got helped with getting insurance (with Edgar) my car broke down in the parking lot. Me and my mom were stranded and my phone was dead. I didn't know what to do so we sat in the car for 20 mins trying to figure out a plan. An employee named Mike came outside to check on us because he noticed we didn't leave. I told him my car wouldn't start and we were stuck. He was so nice that he let us use his Triple A Towing Service! He called Triple A and the tow truck took my car to the nearest mechanic. At this point I was beginning to panic because we still had to get home to Alameda and the bus had stopped running. That's when Another employee named Edgar offered to take us all the way home and that's exactly what he did! I can't thank you guys enough!!! The service i received at Free Way Insurance of San Leandro was out of this world amazing! You guys went out of your way to make sure me and my mother were taken care of and safe. Due to some difficulties I was forced to look for new car insurance recently. I was a little hesitant about dealing with brokers again due to a bad customer service experience that I recently endured dealing with my previous insurer, that I just really didn't want to have to deal with all these different agents and insurance companies. I filled out information for a quote one day online and received a call right away from freeway insurance from a gentlemen named David Castillo. I was pleasantly surprised of his willingness to help me out with finding the best company that would insure me all while providing me with best rate. His level of professionalism exceeded my standards completely. So much so that I refused to look else where for insurance and ended up purchasing a brand new policy through him. I had signed up with this very fraudulent company. I went into this location in February of 2013 to inquire on full coverage insurance. I was approached by a license broker there by the name of Anthony. He gave me a few quotes, however I stated to him I really needed full coverage because my cars are being financed. I told him that I did not have a large down payment. He then stated to me that he can sign me up for Liability and then 2-3 days later sign me up for full coverage. Well that was not the case I did not receive full coverage until 3 weeks later. As though I kept in contact with this company I told them more than several times I no longer want to do business with them. I went with a whole other insurance company. Whom I have been with now for 2 months. So this morning they debited $200 dollars out of my account without my authorization. They have never notified me of these transactions. Yesterday I was on the hunt for Insurance immediately, after receiving a letter in the mail my registration was suspended! So frantically calling everywhere, receiving quotes, and even being denied with Farmers Insurance- I called Freeway Insurance and spoke with DAISY. She ran my old policy number, and was able to get me a new policy started right away! She really made it easy, kept everything the same as it was before, updated some info and my quote was WAY CHEAPER than it was the first time. It's convenient that they are open until 8pm for those who work 8-5's etc. Drove to the office in my uninsured vehicle (I don't recommend LOL) and left the office with insurance! DAISY even took care of the $14 fee that I had with DMV to unsuspended my registration, called me this morning and confirmed that I am insured and my registration is no longer suspended! I walked into to freeway insurance because my prior insurance company was raising their fees so I was shopping around to see what other companies were offering. I was immediately greeted by mike and he also was the person who assisted me (Very friendly). We spoke a little bit about each coverage he was very thorough when explaining what each coverage offered. He also listened to my needs and exceeded what I was looking for. I got full coverage on my vehicle at a very low rate. I have a friend that was afraid of getting taken advantage of. She knows a lot of friends, coworkers, as well as college classmates that have told her to go to this location. She has a bad record and very bad credit. This has given her anxiety talking to any sales people because they treat her fine until they find out her profile. EVERYONE GO TO MIKE TRAN. With that said... The experience was very chill. My first time getting insurance for my motorcycle and it was a breeze. Paid $150 flat and I was covered for the whole year. Dont believe the negatives about this company, especially if you dont know Mike. He helped me out quickly and got me the best deal I could have imagined.
