The team at Fremont Animal Hospital really raise the bar for what a vet can be - never before had we experienced the warmth, kind love and care as we did from everyone here. In fact I've never experienced this from any business before. They really went above and beyond to make our sweet old border terrier feel like he was part of their family. We even have a painting of him that they created (you can see the gallery of animal paintings at the entrance)! As our guy entered into old age and started having health issues, they genuinely cared about his health and outcomes, gave us well-informed and empathetic guidance and as a result we got more time with him to say our goodbyes and more cuddles and scruffs together. When we finally had to say goodbye, the painful experience had an added layer of comfort thanks to their care and attention to detail - even writing sweet messages on the door to the well furnished, warm consultation room where we had to bid our farewells. They even sent us flowers and a loving message with genuine thought and emotion behind it. It really knocked my socks off. I stopped in this "home town" veterinary clinic twice just to ask a few questions. I felt very comfortable with them. The staff was very open to talking to me and answered my questions and seemed actually, very interested in me and my questions and they were helpful. I was looking for a new vet in the area after being disappointed elsewhere. I ended up taking my dog Madison there last week. The doctor and the staff actually cared that I was there with my dog. Before I went to the appointment I was able to communicate in a meaningful way with the staff directly. They actually wrote to me during a series of dialogue and said, we are confident in our abilities to help you. Well, they actually did help me in many ways. After struggling with feeding Madison for three years the doctor and the tech. offered on the floor interest in my dog and offered some ideas that I had not thought of. I have implemented their ideas and the improvement in my dog after just five days is extremely helpful and going very well. I was very skeptical before going in, but this is a vet staff who actually took the time to say, hey~ give us a chance. Thank you all. No animal likes the vet, but Fremont Animal Hospital really makes it the best possible! I was easily seen, and can tell my cat is getting good care and the team remembers both of us. It's easy to communicate with the team about any follow up questions and schedule appointments. Even though my kitty is still nervous coming to the vet, he didn't hide during our second visit and I think that it's due to the team who tries to make the appointment as good as possible. Two other shoutouts: Dr. Rachel has answered every question I've had (and there's a lot as a new pet parent) and remembers my cat even though I know she must be busy. We just switched to the vet after moving to Magnolia and our first visit was great. The staff are super friendly and they know how to interact with pets dealing with anxiety. The facility is really nice and clean, and everything seems well run. Both the vet tech and vet were very knowledgeable and kind in their treatment and discussion of our cat and dog. They had already gotten all of our records from our previous vet, and clearly had read them. If I had to nitpick, I'd suggest they don't ask for stool samples if they don't plan on using them (sounds like it gets sent to everyone). Parking was fine for an early morning appointment, but I could see how it would be challenging during busy times. read more

While seeking emergency care for our dog April yesterday, I knew that she was in excellent hands from the moment that I met Dr. An Le. Her gentle & kind bedside manner while explaining possible causes for April's symptoms and a treatment plan were very reassuring. As I felt my blood pressure come down several points, I knew that we had come to the perfect place for help. That afternoon April suddenly started exhibiting seizure-like symptoms. In hindsight, my spouse mentioned seeing her chew and swallow something at the park several hours earlier so the fear was that she might have been poisoned but her symptoms also appeared as though she was under the influence of some sort of drug. Dr. An Le explained that they would do an in-house blood panel & also test for drugs. To our great relief, all her vitals came back normal but shockingly, her drug test was positive! It is so disturbing to think that someone just discarded drugs (most likely marijuana) in a park with small children & dogs but thank God it doesn't seem to have caused any permanent damage. April was given IV fluids and sent home for observation, so far she still isn't 100 percent back to her peppy self but her personality is definitely starting to show through again. Wow, our little Frankie absolutely loved her experience here and I could not believe it! Well, actually I can. For starters, making an appointment was already a pleasant start. The person we spoke to, I want to say it was Brad, was kind, funny, and super transparent about what to anticipate for our initial appointment. When her appointment day actually came, every interaction we had with someone was pleasant. Frankie has some pretty significant anxiety from her past and every person was so in tune with her that she barely presented with any of her usual signs of anxiety. She adored Dr. Loesch, as well as each vet tech she interacted with. Since that appointment, they have been so communicative, easy to reach, and quick to respond. She had some follow up medications she needed and I'm impressed with how timely and thoughtful they were. We will absolutely be returning and recommending on a regular basis. My wife explained that we were right outside and had just found a parking spot. There is only on street parking which is almost always difficult in Fremont. When we walked in, the receptionist Ellie, told us we were 8 minutes late so we would need to reschedule. Meanwhile the waiting area was empty and the vet tech was just standing in the reception area shooting the breeze with the support staff. 8 minutes late seems rigid and Ellie needs a lesson in customer service because she was a bit rude. We just got our 10 week old Cavapoo puppy, Stringer, this week. We already had an appointment scheduled with Fremont Animal Hospital for his first check up. The Vet, Dr. Rachel, was so kind to Stringer and won him over right away. We were worried we wouldn't have enough time during appoint to ask all the questions we had as new dog parents, but Dr. Rachel spent over an hour with us and Stringer answering every last question. Even better, her Veterinarian assistant, Kella, took notes on everything Dr. Rachel advised us on and emailed us a comprehensive set of notes after the appointment. Not only has Fed been amazing every time we come to the vet but overall he's just an outstanding person! The team following him, like the lady who checked us in and got us situated, or from the doctor and the team who took both our cat (Hazel) and dog (Leia) to get their shots and vaccines! We never have any issues going here, in and out quickly and efficiently. For what you pay it's definitely worth the experience not only for you as an owner but also for your animals. I'm not sure if they offer payment plans but most of the time when I go it isn't an outrageous vet bill and can pay out of pocket most of the time. read more

Went to Fremont to get a second opinion after my regular vet gave a surgical estimate for our dog that just seemed high. Fremont's estimate was a little lower, but what really convinced me to switch was their professionalism and attention to my questions and our dog. Extremely poor customer service, I would go to another vet clinic that cared more about not wasting your time. I showed up to my appointment today (8 mins late, because we were unable to find parking near the clinic, there is NO onsite parking) once we walked in they had already cancel our appointment and moved onto the next appointment without calling to ask to see if we were on the way and/or close by. The receptionist at the desk was rude and not very understanding. She explained to us that the since we were 10 mins late (which we were only 8 mins late) that we had already used a third of our 30 min appointment. There was still 20 mins left in our appointment time that they could have utilize but instead they went onto the next appointment....which seems to me that they were already behind on schedule and just skipped our appointment all together. What a waste of our time. The receptionist then requested that we rescheduled. We decided that this clinic wasn't the right place for us to bring our dog too. If they couldn't even honor an appointment time or even even give us a courtesy call, then we don't trust them to provide quality care to our sweet golden. We were really excited to bring our golden retriever to this new vet clinic in Seattle. I had met the vets at the Fremont market multiple times and felt like they were really nice and welcoming. Im giving this place a 1 star because they do not put the needs of the animal first. Understandably that they do not accept aggressive behavior with staff but to say you feel uncomfortable to treat my dog that has nothing to do with the situation is outrageous. Especially after the fact that we spent over $700 for absolutely nothing because we now have to find a new vet to complete the treatment. The only remedy they gave us was to terminate without even completing care for my dog. Also if you have a sign in your lobby that you do not accept aggressive behavior would lead me to believe that is a issue with your business. A place of business that does not put your pet needs first is a business that should not be in business. A business that can terminate their customer over a minor incident will never get my business again. Never will I recommend this vet to anyone. I had a vested interest in making it work with them, despite their negligence almost KILLING my dog, very early on-since they are very close and i do not have a car at the moment. Months later, and as with any toxic relationship, this effort to preserve my ability to participate has been absolutely a waste of valuable time and money.
